Northport is a historic maritime village in the Town of Huntington on Long Island, New York. Initially designated as Great Cow Harbour by 17th-century English colonists, the area was officially renamed Northport in 1837. In 1898, in order to localize governance Northport was incorporated as a village.

I've been going to this bakery since it opened and it has always been consistent in it's quality and service. Whether it's a waffle for breakfast or a sandwich at lunch, this place does not disappoint. The owners are always pleasant and eager to please.
My only wish was that they were open later at night. what a great place to go after the theater or dinner for some espresso and a slice of one of their cakes!

Great, friendly service, old timey seafaring decor, comfortable booths in beautiful downtown turn of the 19/20thcentury Northport. Outstanding seafood bisque-just about the best you can get anywhere with big chunks of seafood. Had fried chicken on waffle. Waffles were great, but the deep fried chicken breast was tiny and a bit too dry. Wife had the burger which was done just right a had a great smoky taste. They have great fountain drinks and I hear that the rice pudding is an award winner. (Next time). Check their hours before going.

Decor has a nice patina, cozy atmosphere regardless of the weather, some outdoor seating that enables one to enjoy the scenery as well as weather. Small, but good variety on the menu. Beverages, especially coffee, provide good taste and good variety.

Anything I’ve had here after the last three visits over 3 months has been outstanding. The Good: The penne ala vodka, chicken dishes, calamari and spaghetti with white clam sauce all had exceeded expectations. (A) rated
There’s are very reasonable lunch specials that, for the price, is a great deal. (B+)
The Bad: Parking lot is awful. (D-) Not only is it small, it’s poorly engineered. There must be many fender benders there?
The Service is top-notch, but adequate. Don’t looked for a polished-up staff here; but the servers do “do” their jobs. (C+)
Overall, a great “go-to” spot that doesn’t disappoint.

Lics is our choice of ice cream. Even though we live in Huntington we travel to Northport for ice cream. Seems we are not alone as the line goes out the door on most nights. They make the ice cream from scratch with every flavor imaginable (my favorite is salted caramel) but love them all!

Small little establishment makes best bagels ever!!! Has multiple cream cheese spreads, coffee, beverages to go. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are prepared to go. Sells newspapers, milk, soda and juices and some muffins and pastries . No dine in just great bagels and coffee to go as you like

My wife and I have been to many tasting menu dinners with wine pairings at many. Marino's was not close to the best. The food comes out much too quickly because there is pressure to get patrons out in 2 hours. The servers offer no assistance with wine selection though there are very few choices. As for the food, some items like truffle mashed potatoes and grilled cheese were very good, Their sushi was uninspired. Dessert is accompanied by either espresso or Lipton tea. For $160 pp they could spring for drinkable tea, more coffee choices and a dessert wine.

Went their for three double scoop ice creams, asked for a additional single ice cream, when i changed my mind and changed it to a double i noticed the girl behind the counter added a 1/4 scoop more. That's when i noticed all my double ice creams were the size of a single scoop i would normally get at Baskin Robbins or any other similar place. When i questioned the girl i got a answer that they were fat scoops, whatever that meant. I can't blame the girl scooping the ice cream but a much older women who i presumed was the boss heard the entire conversation and it was obvious that was their policy. Don't go here unless you want to get RIPPED OFF.

Stopped by here before a show at the nearby theater and WOW! Had the prixe fixe lunch and it is an amazing value and the food was outstanding! I had the ravioli and I wanted to lick the sauce off the plate. My husband had the salmon and loved it! It was so good we went back again a month later and tried two different entrees and they were both equally delicious. Service is very good. Have another reservation there for dinner in a few weeks and can't wait. Try it!
