We are a Chef owned seafood focused restaurant in beautiful downtown Bethesda. We feature a daily changing menu and use as many locally sourced products as we can. We maintain a friendly and comfortable dining space that allows our guests to relax and recharge. We approach our restaurant with an appreciation for simplicity, authenticity and connection to our community. We deliver daily with high quality food, spirits and people. Our menus include fresh seasonal seafood at their core. We deliver food that nurtures, delights and reminds people that life is short and to enjoy a great meal more often. Our restaurant delivers a comfortable upscale environment that promotes conversation and connection
Objectively speaking, there was actually nothing wrong with our meal or our experience at Chef Tony's this evening. All of our food was alright--not terrific or anything special, mind you, just alright. Our meals consisted of a Caesar salad (served warm and grilled, which meant an interesting flavor and a soggy, mushy consistency), cream of crab soup (nice and rich, good crab taste, with too much Old Bay added to it), crab cake entrée (high quality crab meat, LOTS of spice, zero filler, and very little sauce), and stuffed cod entrée (tasty enough but generally unmemorable).
Like the food, service was also alright. Our waiter either had too many tables to attend to or else he was inefficient at doing his job, or both. He barely came by to check on us, but did his job competently enough.
The atmosphere in this restaurant is pretty minimalistic. Like everything else about Chef Tony's, it was simply nothing special. The noise level was surprisingly high for a place that was not crowded despite having very few open tables available. On that topic, by the way, although the restaurant does not require reservations, it is small and, on a weekend night or special occasion evening, they would be STRONGLY recommended.
Would I eat here again? Maybe. For a comparable price and better food, you might want to consider Daily Grill just a few blocks away, or Positano's (one block away) or Uncle Julio's Rio Grande (a few more blocks away than those). Bethesda has lots of good and great restaurants from which to choose. Why people would select Chef Tony's above other places is rather a mystery to me based on our dining experience this evening.

K Town Bistro is a family operated restaurant nestled in the heart of Historic Kensington that serves a delicious assortment of French and American cuisine
This tiny place is a romantic spot. Every effort is made to meet your wishes. Their menu changes with the seasons. Always fresh ingredients. My only wish is that they would pay more attention to lactose free offerings. Not just this restaurant, but all.

I like their "fresh" and seasonal approach to food. The food tastes good, and they can accommodate larger parties.

Four of my family members and I went to Black Market to celebrate my sister's birthday. We have celebrated many wonderful occasions there over the years and have consistently had a lovely time and been served great food. However, recently we went and had a very bad experience. My daughter ordered the chicken which was listed as coming with a lemon herb jus. Instead her chicken tasted and looked like barbecued chicken. It tasted nothing like their usual excellent chicken. We told the waiter who gave an explanation about the sauce having been concentrated which made no sense. He refused to acknowledge that anything was wrong. We called over the manager who gave us the same explanation and then took 25% off our check which was almost an insult (she should have taken off the whole dish which my daughter did not eat most of). We have had the chicken before and know that it was not the usual so her refusing to acknowledge it was very strange. Worse yet, later that night my daughter suffered extreme gastrointestinal distress at about 2 in the morning which was awful. We will not be going back and feel very sad about the experience since this restaurant has played a role in our family events.

We returned for lunch at the Grilled Oyster Company, this time with my 89-year old mom. As always, they had a great selection, including from Virginia, Maryland, Rhode Island, Maine, and New Brunswick. We sampled all, and as you go further north, the brinier the oyster. We also ordered their delicious hush-puppies and a fried squid salad that was unbelievable. All where delicious, but the oysters are out of this world. And, the beer on tap was just perfect. This was our third or fourth time here, and this was another wonderfully delicious meal.
But, there's more! This time, we looked over the menu with greater curiosity and it looks very tempting. Also, looking at what other people ordered, we've decided that the next time we'll try something other than raw oysters. We've come here for lunch on a Sunday, and the brunch items (such as Eggs Benedict) we spied at other tables looked very appetizing.
HINTS:
Located in the fairly nondescript Cabin John Village mall, you wouldn't notice this place, but it is a gem. It doesn't seem busy at lunch time, but once we were unable to get dinner reservations on OpenTable on a Saturday evening, a few months ago.
The oyster shooters are delicious.

This place is a regular place that we visit with family. The pizzas are good, and the service is efficient and friendly. We usually get there around 5pm to be sure of a table; later than that and you risk a wait for a table. I enjoy a beer and they have a rotating selection of good draughts.
The only down side is the new manager, who prowls the restaurant with an unsmiling scowl, pouncing on tables to clear cutlery and crockery as soon as they are finished with. On our last but one visit he pushed a child's toys onto the floor without an apology when clearing our table. On the last visit he physically moved my wife out of the way at the counter to access booster seats, without an "excuse me". This was unseen by me as I was chatting to another staff member, or he would have had some advice from me.
The regular, long-serving staff are all very attentive and chatty.

Raku used to cater my parties, and they always did a great job. I visited the restaurant for an early dinner now, ordered sushi, and confirmed that they are still great! The service was super friendly and fast, the sushi great, and the price reasonable. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant, despite the bar, the noise level is ok.

Spectacular, authentic Greek Cuisine ! Well appointed and frequented by Greek families celebrating family and special times, this restaurant is a great place to dine. Serving traditional dishes, everything was well prepared and delectable. Grilled Squid and Lamb Chops are our current favorite Greek dishes and we were not disappointed. As a starter is is difficult not to go with the flaming cheese, Saganaki. The leg of lamb, moussaka, and grape leaves were all prepared with an extra touch and were as tasty as we hoped. Our party of six was served promptly and with elegance. For dessert we enjoyed the rice pudding, coffees and dessert wine. While a bit pricey, it was a most enjoyable experience.

When looking for a good restaurant to dine with our grandson (a student at University of Maryland), we found the Woodmont Grill. Being long time fans of Houston's, we visited the Woodmont Grill numerous times. Food and service were excellent.

Parkway is a long time favorite in the Rock Creek Shopping Center. But to my mind it's overrated because there aren't any really good delis in the area. The service is barely OK, and sometimes it can be impossible to get the attention of the wait staff. The food certainly doesn't come up to the standard of places in NY like Stage Deli. Take out orders have to be rigorously checked to make sure they got it right. Not my favorite place!
