We have visited Jocko's Steak House in Nipomo Ca four times now when vacationing up the coast. Our last visit Feb 18th 2018 we had actually taken the time to drive off the freeway and head straight over to Jocko's before even checking in to our hotel so we could make our dinner reservation for Feb 20th 2018 and request our favorite table. The young man told us he would be there Feb 20th 2018 working and our table would be safe. We left feeling confident that our dinner arrangements were already handled. We got to the restaurant on the date and time of our reservation only to be told that our table had just been given to some other party. We then proceeded to wait approximately another 1/2 hour until another corner table came available. This place does get very crowded but if the young man who took our reservation couldn't provide the service and table he guaranteed, not to mention he wasn't even there, then they shouldn't tell us lies. As mentioned, you will not find a finer steak or crab legs anywhere, but the service we have experienced on our last visits is mediocre at best, and I hate been told something and find out its just smoke been blown. We will try again on our visit April 2018

I usually have a good experience at Starbucks in Nipomo; however, there have been a few experiences where I have said, "Really?" I ordered a low fat Turkey bacon sandwich, it was stone cold. Also, another day one of the employees was obviously having a bad day. She literally threw my sandwich in the oven, shoved it in the bag . . . it was a mess to eat. You would think she had issue with me, but I did not have one-on-one contact with this employee! I expect that service and food should be consistently of quality at Starbucks. I would like to add that there was a server there that I always enjoyed seeing. She hasn't been there in a while, but I sure do miss her smile and happy attitude. I hope her ill-tempered co-workers didn't run her off.

Rancho Nipomo is a very interesting place. They have a great selection of southwestern and Mexican options as well as BBQ. The atmosphere is a weird combination of saloon and family friendly. The enchiladas were enormous and incredibly flavorful. I love salsa verde and cheese, and they were smothered in both. Great spot just off the 101! Reasonable prices and fast service.

Yes, it is a Starbucks. I am a regular that buys beans for home use but only occasionally will buy a drink or food item there. They are always friendly and quick. Never disappointed. Wish they had a larger sitting area inside. Always pretty full since Nipomo doesn't have many places to meet up with others.

Unpretentious, and as all the other reviewers have said, very funky. It's the kind of place that only locals would know about if it weren't for sites like Trip Advisor. We had breakfast outdoors on a delightful Sunday morning. The home fries were crinkle-cut and especially good. The pancakes: incredibly light, no traces of griddle grease, super-tasty! We'll go back the next time we're in town

Have had some good meals , some so-so, and one lamb dinner that we sent back: think it was really old mutton. Service is good, especially if you patronize the place often. Menu is very limited and doesn't change often. There are lots of other really good restaurants in the area that are more deserving of a visit.

We completed our hike and looking for decent restaurant at lunch time without the wait. This restaurant nestles away from the crowd, but has a great ambiance and great food. It has a small market for a small selection of gourmet food, which is quite nice and cute. The pizzas are very very good.

Nice family restaurant. Fair prices. Good food. Be sure to check it out when you're in the little town of Nipomo.

Having lived in Bangkok, we are picky. And we were happy. The food was great - presentation, portion sizes and taste. We tried five different dishes and all were excellent. The atmosphere is relaxing, the service quick and professional (the waitress was a hoot, loved her). The owner has to be the nicest guy in town. Wonderful!

We were visiting friends who live nearby and went here for breakfast. Very inexpensive and huge portions. Food and service was great. Hot and fresh. Would definitely return.
