We stopped at this restaurant because we have eaten at US Pizza in Fayetteville, AR. This place was just as good as the Fayetteville place! If you were passing through this small town in Arkansas, you would never stop at this little restaurant. It doesn't look like much on the outside and isn't much better inside. However, the food was delicious. It isn't fast food, because they actually make and bake your order. We had Mexican chicken and veggie personal pan pizzas that were worth the wait. The place was packed with local folks who know where to eat. A lot of them were ordering the salad. You might give that a try, too.

If you ever travel in the area of this little find, you should stop in and try the food and great icees! They have lots of flavors and a really good selection of menu items! All for really affordable prices! I also would like to send a big "Thank you" to the owner, who works hard to satisfy all his customers! I give this place an A+ and we will be back! Oh, and if you're planning on doing some fishing at the local state park- there is a bait shop right next door!

We drove by this place a couple of times before deciding to go in. We were hungry and there weren't any other diner-style options. We wanted a home-style dinner, not bbq. Once inside, we realized we'd found a popular local gem. We aren't tamale fans but the waitress told us we'd love theirs and brought out a sample for each of the three in my party. She was right! Next she brought hushpuppies. Not really sure why but they were light and buttery. We asked for a slice of pecan pie but they only had honeybun cake which -- again -- was a complimentary item. The honeybun cake was similar to a layered yellow cake with a cinamon filling between the 2 layers. By the time our combo platter arrived, we weren't hungy anymore. The beef brisket, ribs and chopped beef were tasty -- which verified their many bbq awards.
Lackey's is an old staple in Newport. The original owner's story is on the wall and the current owner has left the memorabilia on display as well. Overall, this was a satisfying meal in a charming location.

Catering for all your needs. Meals, salads, desserts and more. Dining room available for private rental only. No lunch service.
I'm so sorry to say that something has changed at MJ's.
There's still a business there, but the person who came out from the back (and was the only worker in the building) said they weren't 'really opened.'
Apparently, they're focusing more on just take out.
She was none too excited to feed me.
I should have left, but she insisted she would go ahead and feed me.
It was weird, uncomfortable.
The only other person there made a whispering negative comment to me as they left.
Bummer
This was a great stop until now.

Visiting some family in this rural town, were fascinated to hear about this Mexican Restauarant
The chips were crisp and fresh. The portions huge. The quality ok.
I had a grilled chicken salad and it was very good. Chicken breast was generous.
Others had combination plates. No complaints and almost all finished despite generous portions.
Bill for 6 people, $70 with tip

It's pizza what more is there to say. It has limited buffet for lunch on week days. Other days it is menu service - Pizza is good but not great - menu choices of other items is very limited. Salad bar is really a joke. The pasta dishes are not recommended

Only had the cheesburger with fries and sweet tea!
The salad fixings seemed to draw the local crowd and I will try something else next time.
Very small venue, order from counter, pick up and eat. Wait for cooking, not prepared ahead so hot and good.
We will return.

I've eaten here a few times, and it's always above average for a place that is not typically made to order during events. The roast beef and twice baked potatoes were excellent.
