Perfect spot for a quick bite to eat. I ate at the bar. The cozy atmosphere, cool music playing in the background & aromas make this place a gem.
I enjoyed a perfect size lunch of Fragrant Coconut Soup with tofu and bella mushrooms along with the Hot & Spicy Soy Sticks. Both Evan both pack a punch of flavor. You can order the soup on a 1-4 heat scale. I ordered 3 & it was the perfect amount of spice/heat.
I will be back. Delicious!

Followed the suggestions of some of the employees and ordered some terrific sandwiches, bread and dessert. Can't wait to go back! There are so many delicious items and a great group of employees. Energetic and welcoming. My wife had a toasted vegetable sandwich that I am going to have next time, while I had the roast beef on garlic bread, also toasted...delectable. We also could not pass up the desserts, after all, it IS a bakery.

The food is always amazing. As a vegatarian they cook vegetables in a way that shows pride and care for other peoples food preferences. Gretchen the server was a grace always smiling and being attentive. The bar tenders were nice and the food....AMAZING. I love LongHorns Steal House and I am a vegetarian...thats saying something!!

La Maison Navarre offers fresh homemade high quality products. In the long tradition of "Patisserie, Salon de The", we perpetuate the taste, the elegance and the French know-how.
MN is such a cute place in Portsmouth, NH. The macarons are done really well, and they provide little boxes to take home/give someone, which is really convenient. The only thing I've tried on the menu other than macarons so far was a L'Alpine crepe, and it was incredible. I look forward to trying more things soon.
I love the clean, white, French aesthetic of the place, it adds so much.

This is one of our favorite places for lunch when we come to Portsmouth. Get there early though! It's seat yourself and it fills up fast! My daughter had the Kid's Cheese Quesadilla, which was huge and "yummy"! It's served with sour cream and salsa. My husband had the Cubano Panini, which he said was excellent. I had the Cranberry Apple Panini, which is meatless and delicious! Both our sandwiches came with Kettle Cooked chips. They same desserts and pastries. Also serve beer, wine. Mimosas, Bloody Marys, espresso drinks, coffee and soda. They have a great kid's menu. They are also open for breakfast.

Me and my husband stopped into Lils for a quick treat. he got the cruller which was very good, but the glaze was weird, very sticky and tasted like cinnamon and water. so i told someone at the counter and she very nicely offered me a classic cruller on the house, and that was outstanding. we decided to try a piece of the blueberry pie. it was terrible.. it didnt hold together well at all, and you could see big specs of either cornstarch or tapioca everywhere in the pie, very unpleasant texture biting into those. it just tasted like fresh blueberries and syrup. given the price per slice i had higher hopes :(

After strolling and browsing the many shops of downtown Portsmouth, NH hubby , daughter & I needed an afternoon pick me up. Portsmouth seems to be café nirvana. Their are lots of coffee shops to pick from and each one has its own ambiance. From book store coffee shop to bakery coffee shops, so not easy to pick just the right one. Yet above them all, we chose Breaking New Grounds. Very clever name. And quite spacious with tables to accommodate everyone. They offer delicious cakes, pastry, bagels along with hand crafted coffees. The baristas sure know their coffees! As busy as the place is, the line moves along quickly and your order done without much delay. Love their wide selections of coffees and coffee creations. No wonder it seems to be a favorite place among locals and tourists. We'll definitely return when we toodle around Portsmouth again.

I had dined a number of times at Massimo’s while working in Portsmouth. I was always delighted by the dining experience. I wanted my husband to enjoy a special birthday dinner so I planned an overnight stay in Portsmouth.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was stellar. We we’re warmly greeted by everyone and they each went out of their way to wish my husband “happy birthday!” The service we received from Steve was exemplary and we were even visited by the owner.
The food was delectable, from the board of locally sourced cheeses to pair with our wine to the phenomenal entrees. My lamb shank Ossobuco was the most delicious I have ever had, not to be outdone by the veal chop my husband ordered.
They presented my husband with a complimentary box of delicious treats that included mini cannolis, cookies, sesame candy, nuts and candied orange rind, All delicious! It was a perfectly wonderful dining experience and birthday celebration. It exceeded all of my expectations. Looking forward to our next opportunity to dine at Ristorante Massimo’s!

Wonderful brewery with great food and good service. We just ate there today had a burger and a chicken pita - delicious. You can even take a tour if you want to or go outside and look at the hops growing. Great place.
The wedding reception that Redhook put on was pretty great! The spinach and artichoke dip and the olive tapenade were great for appetizers during cocktail hour! My major complaint was that with their cheeseboard they presented the cheese options weren't great at the garnished with fruits that did not make sense, specifically pineapple. I have a pineapple allergy so I was unable to enjoy some of this. Just a weird choice. The steak tips were also really dry. Maybe it was just an off night for the kitchen. Otherwise the food was great and the staff members that worked with the wedding did a great job!

A notable hamburger shop serving up quick meals. But beware - when I visited the place, none of the food handling staff wore any gloves, and the waitress was handling the food on the plates, also without gloves.
Note to Lexie's: maintain proper food handling practices or suffer the fate of Chipotle. This did not work out well for Steve Ells.
