The coziest spot in New Harmony for a cup of coffee, a drink and a delicious, healthy meal with the freshest, local ingredients. Enjoy distinctive wines and Indiana's first beer. Townies and visitors alike love our warm environment and beautiful outdoor patio.
My wife suggested a Sunday trip for lunch and this was where we finally decided to go . It was well worth the trip. There is a food/ ice cream room and a beer /wine room. Along with that there is a outside patio area. Good sandwiches reasonably priced. Coffee and soft drinks. Wine tasting and craft beers along with some other canned beers in the other room. Seating in both rooms. The weather was so nice we sat outside and our food was brought to us. I love to sit outside in the summer and the outdoor patio was ideal. If you are in the area this is a really nice stop for lunch or just beer and wine. Oh and some good ice cream also.

Established in 1964, the Red Geranium Restaurant is one of the region's most charming and romantic restaurants. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Red Geranium Restaurant offers Seasonal American Cuisine and Midwest favorites. The restaurant also offers an extensive international wine list, and diners may enjoy three distinctively different dining rooms. The Main Dining Room captures the romance and Old World charm of the 19th Century. The Green Room offers comfortable benches and a cozy, casual atmosphere. Ornate hand-carved doors grace the entrance of the third room, the Tillich Room (named for philosopher, Paul Tillich). The dining area offers a panoramic, pastoral view of a serene lake. At night, the warmth of a large fireplace adds to the romantic setting of the room. We also have a patio for diners during late spring and summer hours.
We visited Red Geranium on September 27 for lunch and were seated outdoors in a quiet garden with a fountain.
The lunch menu had several choices, we selected Cubano sandwiches which were freshly made and were ample food; absolutely delicious ! The warm Greek goat cheese/salad also was perfectly made and fresh. We were given a wine list and selected a glass of white wine which our lady server brought in a very elegant wine glass. she was very friendly and accommodating.
Prices are very reasonable, given the really high quality of the food and friendly service. Highly recommended for lunch, a beautiful, serene place !

Fast and friendly service. We had the pork tenderloin and it was very good. Everyone liked their sides. Just a nice place to eat. recommended by one of the local business owners. They said everything they had eaten here was very good. I would eat here again when visiting.

It's old and run down, which makes it even better. This place if often busy because it's such a great value. Where else can you get a cheeseburger for 2.95? It's not open for dinner, so plan on breakfast and lunch. Come for the cheap food, stay for the local gossip from the regulars, and overlook the holes in the seats. The Main is great!

Went with 3 other couples last Saturday. Menu was limited but affordable. I would recommend the onion rings and chef salad which is big enough for 2. Our waitress was scattered and slow with drinks. Food service very slow and approximately 5-7 minutes between each couples orders were delivered to the tAble. Our food was cold before last couple received theirs. Also, very noisy. Just be aware. Those at our table said this was very unusual, but unfortunately true on that night.
