It's like walking back in time..the original supper club ..service was terrific, drinks were lovely...steaks were the best we've had in a long time and the best dessert ever...Brandy Alexander Stacked
That means ice cream stacked so high it was running over the glass and the brandy was so Wisconsin!! We'll be back!

We love heading off the beaten path and sampling the local dining. The Mapleworks Cafe was one of those 'worth the short drive' experiences. The waitress was wonderful and the food was very good. We had the goulash special that came with a GREAT cucumber salad. The pie case was full and looked delicious, but the special filled us up!

This is a very nice place with great food and excellent service. What I was really impressed with about the Wildcat is how nicely I was treated. I was dirty and muddy from riding ATV and it didn't matter. Justin was a professional and treated me with respect.
They also sell gas if you are running low for your machine

Everything - not always in a good way. The food was ok. Service was slow. Waitress was too busy yakking with the locals. Not often that during lunch you get to see locals running in and out to smoke and drink beer at lunch. We saw Amish boys buying hunting licenses and my favorite was the condom dispenser in the mens room along with posters encouraging you to get tested for STDs. You can't make this stuff up.

I tried the Turkey and Swiss on Rye and it was amazing. It was cooked to perfection and the perfect way to warm up on a chilly winter day. The bread was moist and delicious. My sandwich only cost me $4.50 which was delightfully inexpensive compared to other establishments in Neillsville with similar lunch items.
Bottom line: One of the best lunch menus in the area!

The place is located downtown Neillsville. When you walk in the place has a musty order, and the carpet is well overdue for a good shampooing. It is run by a husband and wife team with their little children hanging around. I would suggest takeout only, the atmosphere is bad. We ordered 2 meals with pork egg rolls. The bill was around $30.00. Way overpriced for the area. Pork rolls were chewy and tasteless. Main meal was good. Not too much for food in the downtown area. I would just order main courses for takeout only.

Love this little cafe, the food is good with fair prices. Portions are filling. We had breakfast and lunch and were satisfied with both. Only complaint was the milk wasn't cold enough and the cinnamon roll would have been better if it was warmer. Otherwise, everything tasted good.

I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism exhibited by the staff while dining in. Staff were loud and focused on activities other than working (i.e. chatting, playing games, etc). Even when there are few customers, there are still things that can be done (cleaning up the messy salad bar for example). Staff members all appeared to be very young. The waitress also seemed to have a bad attitude.
On the positive side, there are a few staff members who seem to always be busy with something and hopefully those are the staff members who consistently handle the food as I can't see any of the other kids taking time to care for safety and food preparation requirements.

My wife and I came here with my sister-in-law. Was about 2 in the afternoon. My wife ordered a salad, I a burger, and sister-in-law a dinner. All were satisfactory but nothing to really write home about. The service was good and the wait staff was attentive. The atmosphere was definitely small town, homey.

The owners Mike and Michelle are doing a great job running this restaurant. The food is great and the location is on a popular snowmobile trail. We would go back again.
