Wagon Wheel is a diner and gift shop located on Historic Route 66 in Needles, CA. Local favorites include hand cut chicken fried steak, homemade country gravy and slow roasted pot roast. Friday night is all you can eat fish for $8.99. Our fish is hand breaded and made with Alaskan cod. Breakfast is served all day. Beer and wine is available and we have plenty of RV, boat and truck parking. Open daily 5:30am -10pm. A local favorite since 1978.
What a down-home charming place with the best service (by EVERYONE) ever.
Great kibbles as well!
Old man had a very nice sausage & egg breakfast with ample amount of perfectly cooked browns.
I had the big burger with tots. Both cooked the way they should be!
Perfectly brewed ice tea accompanied the meal.
What stuck out the most though was them happy friendly & helpful girls and cooks who clearly put live in it!
Thanks all-we WILL be back next time thru.

Service is good !! Very good choice's in selection of meals. Fish fry is always a catch, and of course they have beer to complete that . Pizza wow now that's what I like, several choice's and yet again beer goes well with this choice !! Try Hunter's

During a recent cross country road trip to attend a friend's wedding, we decided to take a break at a truck stop and enjoy a cool treat at a Dairy Queen. It was delightful to see a DQ sign, for Dairy Queen is one of our favorite ice cream shops. As such, we stopped and ordered some of our favorites before we continue our journey.
As usual, the Blizzard and shakes we ordered were great, however, we were disappointed with the banana split. We noted the pile of whipped cream, but there was only a smidgeon amount of ice cream underneath sitting in unsightly pool of liquid. The store was busy and opted to forego the standing in line to make a complaint. Got to get back on the road.
After we returned from our trip a couple of weeks later, I made a note to address my complaint via email to the DQ website. Sadly, the DQ server had issues and will not respond. Then I decided to call the toll free number while this was fresh in my mind. Despite the bitterness that lingered in my mind regarding the experience, a young lady pleasantly answered the phone. She identified herself and sought to hear my concerns and dissatisfying experience. The manner in how this customer service representative came across, quickly eased my initial concerns. She was a great listener and very apologetic on behalf of the franchisee who served us. She further took down details of the purchase, location, etc. Fortunately, I had a receipt and provided all of the information she requested to do her research into the matter. In conclusion, the DQ customer representative once again apologized and offered us a coupon, good for a replacement banana split at any other DQ location. I must admit, DQ took what was a bitter and negative experience and turned it into a positive one through the kind and helpfulness of their customer service representative. Kudos to Dairy Queen on their professional way to handle customer concerns.

I have stopped and had dinner at this restaurant before, stopped on a Wednesday night on my way to Kingman Az.
When I entered there were 10 people at the cash register to pay and leave, no one taking cash.
I went in and found a employee and asked if I should seat myself, and I was told I would have to go back to the waiting area for at least 20 minutes because the cook was real busy and behind.
First time to ever encounter this in a restaurant!
Of course I left and went to another restaurant.

This place is in a gas station, but don't let that stop you. It's authentic and very tasty. I loved it.

I agree with other comments about how wonderful Cindy and Robin are. I don't know how they manage to keep everything straight but they do. When I called to make our reservation for 12 at 6:00 PM, Cindy warned me that another party of 25 was also arriving at 6:00 PM. We wisely changed our time to 5:45. Robin was our waitress and she is truly amazing. She is always going at full speed and was on top of all of our needs. Most of the food was excellent but a couple of our members complained that the spaghetti although tasty, it was barely warm. I would not recommend being seated outside as the river bugs can be a real pain.

we order Mudshark quite a bit. It's fast and easy, sometimes the food does not seem very fresh, more of a microwave taste. The antipasta salad is always great.

Ordered take out for family because it was easy and expected little.
Was completely wrong!
Crisp egg rolls and plenty of sweet and sour sauce.
Mongolian Beef was excellent. Tender beef and tasty seasonings.
Fried rice also better than we have had in years!
This is a must stop for lunch at under $6 until 3pm. Don't let the neighborhood scare you away. Located in front of the Red Roof In.
Never thought we would find great Chinese in Needles.

I was in Needles this evening and needed a bite.
If you've never been to Needles, be advised: It's not "Restaurant Row" on La Cienega Blvd. Many of the restaurants are "chains"; I wanted something other than Denny's.
So, I turned to the on-line reviews and they led me to this place: "Cook's Cuisine". Why the owners chose this name I have no idea, but...
It's pleasant. It's a small storefront in a strip mall; the dining room's in the front immediately inside the entry door, and the kitchen and staff facilities are in back. In between is a dividing wall, with the beverage station and cash register. The dining room's furnishings are remeniscient an American Legion banquet hall.
The menu is fairly extensive with entrees from both Chinese and Thai cuisines.
There are both lunch and dinner entrees. Dinner entrees were mostly in the $7.50-$8.00 range (as of this writing).
The food was delicious and the (dinner) portion size was enough for two meals; I ate what I wanted and carried-out the rest.
If you like either Chinese or Thai cuisine and aren't demanding romantic ambiance, give this place a try.
They take phone-in, carry-out orders (of course).

My friend and I stopped by there for something to eat after fishing. We got it to go. He had a machaca burrito and I got a chorizo and egg torta and for my wife we picked up a shrimp burrito. Nice atmosphere in there. Small restaurant maybe 8-10 tables, but good food, reasonable and quite fast service. My wife really enjoyed her shrimp burrito too. Large variety of Mexican food on the menu. The store right next door has some excellent machaca with many different varieties from hot to mild. I had to buy 2 pounds of the mesquite as my wife and I really like it!! Would recommend going if you haven't? I'll go again when I'm down that way again. About 10 miles South of us.
