Slingin' NY Style Pizza in East Nashville. Lunch, Dinner, Late Night.
Selected this place based on reviews. It was a really good choice. It was in a funky little neighborhood, not what I was expecting for Nashville, but defiantly worth a look around. Parking was difficult, I got to show off my expert parallel parking skills I developed years ago when I lived in San Francisco.
I ordered the most amazing salad. It had tiny bits of dried (they said cured, seemed almost candid) orange peel. Oh my goodness it was delicious. I tried to get them to sell me some of that orange peel to take home with me. Sadly it was a no-go. Husband had a clazone or something that looked like a calzone and he loved it as much as I loved my salad or maybe more.
The service was perfect. There is nothing more we could have asked for. When we are back in the area in June, we will certainly dine here again.

When in Nashville do as the locals do... Pass the Peas..Please! Great Southern Food served Family Style in Historic Settings. Located in historic buildings, Monell's as been a Nashville staple since 1995. Come on in, grab a seat and pass the food to the left. Monell's famous Skillet Fried Chicken served at every meal, including our weekend country breakfast. A vist to Nashville is not complete without dining at Monell's. Enter as strangers...Leave as Friends. Monell's - 4 locations to serve you.
We tried Monell’s for our Easter Sunday dinner and were absolutely blown away by EVERYTHING, food, staff and surroundings.
We went for dinner without checking for their hours of operation and found ourselves to be the last customers of the evening. When I realized this I said we would leave and not holdup their closedown but we were told to come in and sit down and they would take special care of us - they did this and left us feeling as we were part of their family.
The dishes started arriving at our table and it seemed if they would never stop.
I cannot estimate the number of dishes and everything was excellent but a few highlights were the roast beef, fried chicken, green beans, chicken casserole and Mac and cheese - dessert was amazing.
This meal and the time spent talking with staff will be remembered and talked about by us forever.
Hats off folks you truly did touch us.

Opening in June 2016!
Service, atmosphere & food were equal to or better any restaurant we have visited. From the valet attendants to the hostesses, bartenders, server/helper and manager, each person we encountered was welcoming, cordial and professional.
Started with cocktails at the bar. Suggest this in order to enjoy the vibe/piano player and to let the ambiance of the restaurant sink in, as it is unique in so many ways. Certainly unlike any other restaurant in Nashville.
Our server (Paul) was the best. Ask for him, although I'm sure that you can't go wrong with the others. Crab & shrimp appetizers were superb, as was the bread/butter. My 8oz. filet was the best steak I have ever eaten. Seriously. Lobster tail was good, but not quite on par with the aforementioned. My god, order the donuts for dessert. Waiter even took care of ordering up the car from valet so it was waiting for us.
No disappointments. This was truly a wonderful dining experience. This is our new standard,

Featuring an array of global flavors and decadent desserts by Chef Deb Paquette and Pastry Chef Megan Williams, Etch is located in the ground floor of the Encore tower in Nashville's SoBro district. The restaurant is equipped with two private dining rooms, a full bar and an open kitchen with bar-style seating, allowing guests to interact with Deb and her kitchen. Lunch and dinner are available Monday-Friday, as well as dinner on Saturday. In her 13 years as Chef/Owner of Zola, Deb received accolades for Nashville's best chef and Nashville's best restaurant multiple times. Nashville restaurants are many, but Etch sets itself apart with bold flavors and colorful presentations.
A great restaurant with delicious food and outstanding service. Interesting menu and a lot to choose from. A very impressive winelist!
I had a salad and a grilled steak, it was all fabulous. My husband enjoyed his tuna appetizer and lamb as the main dish. We also tried their homemade ice cream - wow. You cannot leave Nashville without trying Etch restaurant’s “chocolate chocolate”. It was a treat.
The service was simply outstanding, professional and friendly. Everything was just right and arrived at the right time. Wines were excellent, as were the aperitifs. Will definitely go again.

Rodizio Grill is an authentic Brazilian Steakhouse called a Churrascaria (pronounced - Shoe-ha-skah-ria). The restaurant has no menu - The restaurant features unlimited Brazilian appetizers, a large gourmet salad area and endless slices of rotisserie grilled steaks, lamb, pork, chicken and fish. The grilled meats are carved table side by our Gauchos (Brazilian Cowboys). The restaurant also features a variety of Brazilian Cocktails including a flawless executed Caipirinha (Brazil’s National Drink). Refreshing non-alcoholic specialties like the Brazilian Limeade and a Bahia Breeze are also featured. Guarana the Brazilian's favorite soda is also available.
After a dinner with my wife at the Rodizio Grill in Nashville recently, I felt compelled to write about the amazing, warm hearted service we received. KARAH wasn’t just “a server at restaurant”..she was our new friend, like a family member we hadn’t seen in a long time, someone who was genuinely happy to see us and cared about making sure we had a memorable experience. Even though it was our first time in Nashville and the Rodizio, we felt like we had stepped in to our own home town place. Karah literally went above and beyond to make our visit the best we’ve ever had..and it was! Not only would she be a great ambassador for the Rodizio franchise, but the city of Nashville should also put her up front and center for welcoming newcomers and tourists alike. A visit we’ll never forget..many thanks to her!

We dined at Skull's during our trip to Nashville. It was a quick walk from our Courtyard hotel. Seated promptly for our reservation and our server came right over. Our server Monica suggested the Meatball starter special which was delicious. One negative was we asked for bread and were told they did not do bread. She said she could bring us some crostini ..we all said no worries as we really wanted bread...Monica tells us no worries and brings over the crostini.... Well much to our surprise when the bill came we were charged 2.00 for this.... that seemed quite silly on our 300.00 bill. The strip steak special was also very salty and could not be finished. Overall the place was fine, the vibe and decor was good, just don't plan on have a dinner discussion as the entertainment takes over....

This is one of the best restaurants in the country! It is worth getting up early to make a reservation 30 days in advance. The menu changes and is always amazing. The staff is excellent too. If you love food... YOU CANNOT GO WRONG!

The Melting Pot Restaurant is where fun is cooked up fondue style. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, long overdue date night or celebrating with a group. We are the premier fondue restaurant, providing a casually elegant dining experience and an intimate atmosphere. The relaxing four-course experience begins with a cheese fondue prepared table side and fresh salads while your entrée pot heats up. You'll simmer a variety of meats, seafood and vegetables in the cooking style of your choice. Each morsel is hot, fresh and delicious and all entrées are accompanied by an array of dipping sauces. Chocolate fondue is the finale, served with decadent dippers. Most make reservations for the four-course dining experience but more than a few have stopped by to satisfy that cheese fondue or chocolate craving. The Melting Pot also features a great wine list, specialty cocktails and martinis.
My wife and I had hankering for fondue so we went to the Melting Pot for dinner. The restaurant is located on 2nd street down from Wildhorse Saloon. Make reservation on weekend for dinner. The restaurant was bigger than I thought and dark. The service...MoreThanks you for Fondueing with us - glad you got the crave. We appreciate kind words and feedback. All the best, Mark R Owner
