Went here for ice cream one evening while staying in Murphy. The ice cream was smooth and creamy and portion sizes are huge!
We probably would have gone again during our stay but the nats were terrible! We were on bikes so we couldn't sit in the car to get away from them. We actually ended up walking about two blocks to finally get away from the bugs to be able to enjoy our ice cream bug free.
Not their fault but still it made for a bad experience and kept us from returning.

A real wood fired Southern BBQ Joint!
Delicious! Ribs are the best. Fried ocra, pulled pork, coleslaw.... everything was tasty. Topped it off with BlackBerry cobbler. I wish I had one of these back home because Sonny's and Bonos provide no competition. Thank you Rib Country!

My coworkers and I eat here occasionally, never by my choice. The sandwiches I've had here have just been okay. For about 8 bucks you get a sandwich and a pickle. No chips, nothing. We were just saying the other day that a sandwich should at least come with chips, especially for the prices.

This is a cool quaint eatery in downtown Murphy comparable to Red Brick Deli. Sandwiches are good. Place is a bit pricey for lunch, but food is very good. Limited menu.

Lot of ambience in this cozy restaurant. On the left side there are two person booths on the right 4 person booths and in the middle there's four tops.
The food is flat out incredible, everything we had was amazing. Come hungry and don't waste your time on the bread or even the sides, although that's good.
It's a great value too. They have a two for $30 and a two for $35 menu. We thought the portion sizes were going to be minuscule, not even close to the truth. They were on the big side.
We tried the two for $30. That means one appetizer, two entrées and one dessert. Bruschetta was the appetizer, see picture, it was presented beautifully and tasted even better.
I had the three cheese stuffed chicken (pix)wrapped in bacon let me tell you it was awesome. My husband had the chopped sirloin steak (pix)that we thought was going to be bad so he made a deal with me to split both entrées. His was even better than mine. It was topped with onions, peppers and mushrooms, so tasty.
Both entrées had a baked potato and a really good broccoli casserole on the side.
One dessert came with the deal. We got the chocolate pecan cake. See the picture, it came in a little glass with a bunch of whip cream. There is no food that this place can't make incredible.
If I lived here I would eat here once a week. Yes we will be back one hour stomachs are not so full!!!

Great food. Typical pub food - and if you have ever been to any REAL pubs, the food is always good. Parsons is no exception. Waitress took the time to explain the food to the newbies. Great food and plenty of it to be full, but not stuffed. Had live music - which was OK. Actually NOT too loud. (Which seems to be rare anymore.)

Bistro 29 is a unique dining experience in Historic Downtown Murphy NC. Our commitment to excellence shows in our ever-evolving menu, our atmosphere, and our dedicated staff. From the moment you step through the beautiful red doors, you know this is not your typical restaurant.
Visited Bistro 29 on the advice of a friend. We had not been to Murphy NC since the year 2 B.C. (Before Casino) when quality dining opportunities were non-existent. Excellent service was provided by Tanya, and one of the co-owners who visited our table. The stuffed dates and fried wanton appetizers were delicious, although the 2nd order of wontons was slightly over cooked. Dinner entrées of chicken, pork chop and trout were of high quality, and well prepared and presented. Overall, we found Bistro 29 to be an unexpected gem in the western NC mountains, and well worth the short drive over from Blue Ridge GA.

We have been here a few times as we've driven through Murphy. The last two times, our bartender was a red-headed young lady. The first time she was our bartender, she was late. This time, she was there when we came in and made it clear one we tasted the slightly-cooler-than-room-temperature craft beer that he "daddy" sometimes left doors open. At first, she tried to say that when people first tasted craft from domestic beer, that they didn't know the temperature difference. That's all we drink. This beer was not cold. At any rate, we continued to try to talk to her and be in a cheerful mood. I think the last straw for us was showing her a picture of our grandchild. She just looked and walked away. So, yes, pizza was good, but if you like your service to be cheerful and friendly - the red-headed girl at the bar, who is related to the owner, is not a pleasant experience.

Probably the best sit down restaurant in Murphy. Excellent food, excellent service. Nice wine selection and full bar. Specialty is prime rib and steaks. Large portions, and excellent sides. Sunday brunch is great. Great place to visit after a day of gaming at the casino.Dear Amaboskcus, Thank you for the great Trip Advisor review for my restaurant. I appreciate you taking the time to let us know how much you enjoyed everything. I'll be sure to pass your comments on to the staff. Thanks again! James Reaux
