I have eaten here 3 or 4 times previous to this visit. Each time I could not finish my order — too much (very good) food! This time I ordered the Senior Special consisting of 2 pancakes, one egg and a sausage patty (or sausage link or bacon). It was enough to eat without being wasteful and was less than $7.00.
The sausage patty was tasty, the egg was properly cooked and the pancakes were excellent. My wife had a salad, which was also very good.
This place gets very busy for lunch — come early or wait.

Just like the traditional soft-serve drive-ups from long ago. I know of no better place for frozen custard. Literally countless flavors of the day to look forward to. Service is always friendly and efficient. Music takes you back to the awesome sixties. Plenty of outdoor seating. Remains open late in the season, almost until the snow arrives.

Located in Libertyville (and also Round lake), this has become our favorite area bakery. From coffecakes to doughnuts to custom birthday cakes and even a wedding cake, we have never been disappointed. Not only are their products good and always fresh, those working in the store (or by phone) are friendly and helpful. Tasteful bakery products and service---the combination is the magic behind this local favorite.

Home to America's favorite Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef, burgers, salads, and chocolate cake.
Portillo's ... many in Chicago rave about the restaurant. The drive-through line-ups are always long. The food: lots of its and made fresh and hot. The food was too greasy for my taste but this certainly comfort food.

Laurie is great and so is the food she presents. Always a nice experience. Quaint. Welcoming. Cozy. Fresh, homemade pasta dishes. We are long time customers.
Outside eating area too when weather permits. Wine. I like the linguine and clams. Lasagna is good, too. Love love love her cookies and cannolis.

Based on recommendations from friends, we had dinner at Mambo Italiano. The menu features traditional Italian entrees. The bread was average. Three of us had pasta dinners and one had the fish special. All entrees come with soup or salad. The minestrone soup was good. One criticism is that we were not offered freshly grated Parmesan cheese. We all enjoyed our entrees. The marinara sauce was very flavorful. The tiramisu dessert was excellent.

We stumbled upon this place and are so glad we did. The owner cooks everything fresh each day and there is a small bakery or seating for restaurant. Everything there is amazing, but we love to just stop and pick up some goodies from the bakery too. Recommend the pain ah chocolate, creme brulee or any of the turnovers.

My wife has been trying to get me to go to this restaurant for months now, but I'm not a real fan of Japanese food. My wife and daughter are though. So, since my daughter was visiting and it was her birthday, I broke down and went. Wow! The food was excellent. They have a Berkshire Pork chop that is cooked and seasoned perfectly. And, of course, my wife and daughter liked the Chicken Tempura and Shrimp dish. The service was excellent also. Nicole was our server and did an excellent job. I told my wife and daughter that we can come back as often as they like (just as long as I can have the Pork chop).

Founded in Chicago over 20 years ago, Elly's has offered a friendly, casual and contemporary dining atmosphere. Making all our dishes from scratch using only quality ingredients and serving them fresh and fast to our guests. In 2017, Elly's has expanded outside the Chicagoland area to Phoenix & Kansas City known as Elly's Brunch & Cafe.
Elly’s is a terrific, casual breakfast place. Prices are fair, food is good quality and dependable. Weekends tend to get crowded, but staff does good job keeping things moving. Weekdays are usually less crowded with fast, friendly service. Delicious omelettes are my favorite, typical diner menu here with good atmosphere. Try the fresh squeezed orange juice.

Wood-Fired Pizzeria serving Artisan pizza, salads, small plate appetizers and small plate entrees. Full Bar, Take Out and Private Parties available.
We have visited this restaurant many times & it is consistently very, very good. We enjoy all different styles of pizza: deep dish, American, Naples style, wood fired, coal fired. Pizzeria DeVille is our favorite in the Chicago area for the wood burning style pizza. Overall its actually our favorite pizza place! The pizza is thin crust & flavorful. The sauce & topping ingredients very good. I think the secret to a great pizza is when all the flavors - crust, sauce, cheese & ingredients don't compete with each other. Pizzeria DeVille has this dialed in. Our favorite meal is sharing the Maaa Salad with the Pride of the Yankees pizza. I don't know where they source their meats but the sausage & pepperoni are exceptional. We have also gotten the prosciutto & arugula pizza which is very good as well. The Maaa Salad is loaded with chopped fresh ingredients. The restaurant is always very busy & bustling but not necessarily too noisy.Good reasonably priced wine list, generous pours. People of all ages dining here with lots of families. The service is consistently very good & what you'd expect at a pizzeria. The owner is often on site talking to the customers. You can tell he really cares about the restaurant. This is a great restaurant to bring your family & even little ones. The price points are extremely reasonable for the quality of the pizza & service. We have brought friends, business associates & family here on different occasions & everyone seems to really enjoy it!
