Service was prompt and professional. Food was great. We had kabobs and they were very good. We had grape leaves too. There was so much food, we will have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Glad we found this place. Prices were reasonable. No beer or wine but that was ok with us.

This place has been a staple of Broadway in Monticello for at least 30 years. Bagels are large, chewy on the outside and soft on the inside…just as a bagel should be! Many flavors available. Inside and outside tables. Drive-thru available. Coffee is good, too! Servers are always friendly, and pretty quick. Love this place- you won't be disappointed.

Monticello has a surprising number of Italian restaurants. Glad we found this one, which is outside the center of town. It was on the list of local eateries at the Best Western, where we stayed for proximity to the Bethel Woods Museum (original Woodstock Festival site). The matire-d or owner honored the discount mentioned in the hotel literature. Comfortable but slightly formal -- we were glad there were no families with kids, frankly.
Lots of local folks eating there -- Ciao Bella was very busy on a Monday night. Very good food, atmosphere, and service. I had chicken done in a Milanese style (pounded thin, dipped in egg, lightly coated in breadcrumbs, sauteed) -- my mother used to make it this way, and this was just as good. Came with broccoli and very good mashed potatoes. My friend had a pasta special, cavatelli with sausage and (I think) broccoli rabe. Also very good. For dessert we shared a toasted almond thing, kind of a cross between mousse and tiramisu (but not coffee-flavored). Wine was generously poured. Really, I'd go back in a minute! It is within a mile or two of Route 17 in Sullivan County, and less than a mile from the hotel. Either way it is worth the detour off the highway.

Honestly, it was kind of dirty. We sat in a corner booth and the window ledges right next to our table and condiments hadn't been cleaned in months--they were encrusted with grime. When I asked for a glass of water, it arrived with obvious previous food/dirt on the inside of the glass. The server apologized, but that was all, so I got the impression it wasn't unusual. It's a small place, very cute Elvis cafe curtains, the manager was very personable. Food was just okay, maybe my appetite was diminished. I didn't look in the bathroom or kitchen, sometimes that's a clue.

First I'll say that I thought the wall staff was lovely, attentive and cheerful. Never having been to this restaurant, I read some good reviews, heard they had an extremely good midweek special and hopped over, was greeted charmingly by the waitresses and asked about the 2 for $25 dinner specials. There was little choice; chicken, eggplant or meatball parmigiana, or mussels fra diablo. All came with a garden salad (adequate), pasta (no choice, spaghetti with red sauce - very, very dry too) and bread (which was delicious and right out of the oven). I ate the chicken, 1/8 inch thin with breading and sauce and cheese. The eggplant was adequate in my husband's opinion and the other couple disliked their chicken parmigiana. It seemed to me that the purpose of offering a special would be to entice people in to try the food and hope they'd come back to try the other dishes. Well, we were not enticed and will not return.

This is a great restaurant in every way. Service is attentive without being intrusive, friendly and competent. Family atmosphere makes it comfortable for any group. Oh, and the food is the best around! Whether you want pizza or a gourmet meal, you will love it
Great drinks - try the electric lemonade, a summer splash certain to wet your whistle.

Modern Asian décor and furniture doesn’t begin to fill this cavernous restaurant and it wasn’t very crowded at lunch. The menu is large as you might expect at an “Asian” restaurant, even though it’s mostly Japanese. There are very good lunch specials (comes with miso soup and salad) as well as a la carte sushi choices. We stated with shrimp tempura and steamed dumplings. I had some eel sashimi which is priced by the piece. We shared udon noodles with pork and eel/avocado and tuna rolls. All the food was very good. They also have a full bar and a cost effective wine list. I’d definitely return when I’m in the neighborhood.

Right in the middle of Main St. in Monticello is a gem. The food is delicious, prepared with care and fresh ingredients. Flavors and combinations are fun. Note that I ordered from the Korean/Asian fusion menu but they also serve - oddly enough - deli sandwiches and some western standards. Portions are generous and the value for dollar is excellent.
With all of that said, the atmosphere in this small restaurant might have been my favorite thing. The Korean cook(s) and front end person were all lovely, friendly, welcoming, and professional - but the clientele added to my delight as I watched a very diverse group of customers come and go with friendly interactions. I had a great sense of well-being in this wonderful little restaurant. I will visit again any time my travels take me to the area.

We were two couples eating at 6:30 on a Saturday night. On the plus side, the decor is nice. The service was beyond slow. We didn't get dinner for 2 hours and when it came, two of the dishes were cold. Not just not hot, borderline like they hadn't been cooked. The appetizers were good, fried calamari, mozzarella caprese and clams oreganato, but nothing special. The entrees were skimpy. The linguine frutti di mare had one shrimp, three clams and three mussels on a meager bed of linguine in an underspiced fra diavolo sauce and were served cold. The branzino fish special was overcooked and consisted of two thin, narrow filets with skin, on top of some greens. With 5 glasses of house wine between us and 1 dessert, the bill was $231 before tip. I don't know how they have gotten the good reviews they have. We will definitely not return.
