This is as small restaurant that packs people in. It has a small bar and you usually have to wait for a table. You can leave your number and they will call when a table opens up.The food is unbelievable. It's a place where other restaurant owners go to eat.
This restaurant is really small, only takes cash, and usually has a wait, but is 100% worth it. They have amazing burgers and barbecue. Whenever we go to Monroe, we do not dare go anywhere else. I always crave this place, and it's a shame they're two hours away, I'd come everyday if I lived closer.

Perks has been for years a favorite of mine for coffee, chai tea lattes and lunch. The owner, Sue is such a lovely and generous business woman, She has generously let me display artwork in her space witho any commission....rare. The food is delicious and totally homemade. Everyday they are whipping up some delicious pie, cobbler or cake. Something is always there to tempt you. I lov their lunch salad and veggie wrap!

My father-in-law, who hails from nearby Argyle loves Baumgartner's so we try to go here whenever we're in south central Wisconsin. We started with a salami and cheese platter, which was outstanding. Couldn't finish it all. My wife had a great bowl of lentil soup. My father-in-law had his favorite sandwich: Limburger cheese with red onions. I had the chili dog, which was outstanding. The lines to be seated can be long, so the waitstaff eases the pain by offering libations in line. These are served on the honor system, as one only must settle up for the extra drinks, and anything else plucked from the deli in line after eating. BTW::Christie C is not correct: Baumgartner's serves any variety of cheese sandwich with no meat. That said, a vegan customer probably won't find much on the menu.

Located in the town square. Very friendly staff and offered samples. The usual flavors of fudge but a couple different flavors like blueberry/white chocolate fudge and carrot cake fudge. We purchased the caramel sea salt fudge. Usual flavors of gourmet popcorn. Didn't try the popcorn because there are so many gourmet popcorns shops everywhere. Just had lunch in town, so no room for ice cream but maybe next time if in the area again.

Vince's Restaurant & Pizzeria specializes in fresh, hearty Italian food. Here, we make our food with love and serve it with expertise. Order online for pickup or delivery from our website. You can create an account, view previous orders and save your favorites for quick re-ordering! Great for home or the office.
Some day I may order pizza from "Vince's Pizza," but so far both my husband and I have chosen something else from the very large and varied menu. Spaghetti Pie is amazing, but this time I decided I needed to get out of that rut and try something else - I chose the Seafood Pasta Bake. It was so tasty that it may be my new "rut." The service is always excellent as well, and the atmosphere is very comfortable - not noisy as some restaurants are.

The Buggyworks is a comfortable place with terrific food utilizing a scratch kitchen and as many local products as possible. All soups and dressings are made from scratch as well as hand cut french fries and steaks as well as hand pattied burgers. Every service there is at least one unique item on special, with a top notch Friday Fish Fry and mouth watering Prime Rib on Saturday. Make sure to take advantage of the full bar while you enjoy some delicious food with friendly, fast and knowledgeable service!
My wife and I went there this past Tuesday for dinner for the first time. There were about 3 other tables there. we were seated quickly, but it took almost 10 minutes to ask what we wanted to drink. It took another 5-7 minutes to bring 2 soft drinks. It wasn't that busy. Once we ordered the food came in a reasonable amount of time. The food was very good , with very generous portions. I would definitely go here again, and would hope next time the service is better

An upscale restaurant to monroe standards. The dinner was lovely with many fresh menu options.
The starter of cheese curds were A+!
I had they crab and cakes and they were good. My husband got the ahi tuna seared salad and it was very fresh and tasty. The sirloin looked great with mushrooms and the rösti potatoes were the bomb. The pork roast and Gouda mashed potatoes were also
Impressively tasty. A lovely dining experience quaint and perfect for us.

We had a group of five and ordered a wide variety of items:
Beef steak, pancakes, scrambler, and cinnamon role.
We were all very pleased with our breakfast. Can't think of anything that would need improvement. A great place to go for breakfast.
Although we didn't have to wait long for a table I could see larger parties struggling to get a place to sit if there wasn't an open table, but they sure seem to turn tables over quickly.
If you have goats be sure to ask for their homemade jam!
Note that it is cash only.
