we were recommended this place by one of the guests staying at the same hotel as us and wow, what a place. Mardi Gras had just finished so we made our way to this restaurant and were seated immediately. Mark our waiter was so helpful and his knowledge of the wine list was impressive as was his recommendation for what to eat. We started with the spinach salad and the baby iceburg salad. This was not too large and not over filling but extremely tasteful. for our main meals we had the 10 0z rib eye fillet and the 8 oz hanger steak. This had to be probably one of the best meals ever and we have eaten in some fine restaurants from here to London. The service was excellent, we were not rushed at any point even though we were literally the last 2 people left in the restaurant and everybody was wanting to go home. it wasnt overly expensive compared to London prices so i would definately recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for sofisticated dining in a great relaxing atmosphere. would love to visit here again but its a long way to fly for the night. Thankyou guys for a wonderful night

Mediterranean in Mobile? I would've never guessed that such a good sandwich… And unique as I had the redneck gyro could be found here in the deep South. I call this a solid lunch spot

Welcome to Kitchen on George A new restaurant in the heart of Mobile's Historic District. If you enjoy fresh, contemporary American food in a casual atmosphere, Kitchen on George is for you. Our menu features dishes that can be enjoyed tapas style in small plates or bowls, or as traditional entrees. Here, you'll notice fresh, bright and delicious flavors of the region since locally-sourced ingredients, when available, are a priority. We have a great selection of wines and cocktails, too! Enjoy dinner indoors or on our patio. Kitchen on George is located on the corner of George and Savannah Streets in the historic Oakleigh Garden District.
We visited Kitchen on George with family and friends tonight after coming back from our cruise. It is set back in an old but clean neighborhood full of beautiful old houses and is located in a beautiful old house itself.
Our waitress Was Sabrina and she was incredibly helpful and friendly and provided excellent service.
We had the mushroom soup, crab and corn bisque and the lettuce wraps at our table that we shared for appetizers. They were all excellent.
I had the lambshank for my entree and it was tender and had a great flavor. My wife had the shrimp and grits and enjoyed it as well.
For desert, we had the bread pudding and the brownie and they both were wonderful as well.
I highly recommend Kitchen on George for a delicious meal.

From out of town but decided to check out downtown Mobile for lunch. We kinda stumbled upon Panini Pete’s wandering around and browsing TripAdvisor. What a tremendous meal for all 4 of us. Tuna on focaccia, breakfast burger (egg, bacon, cheese), muffuletta sandwich, and a roast beef jewel.
DO NOT forgot the beignets- we had 2 orders.

General Manager Tom Young, Executive Chef Steve Zucker and their entire team are awaiting the pleasure of serving you.
The restaurant was located on the 34th floor and offered beautiful views of the city and waterfront even on a cloudy day. There were lunch specials for $13-$14 which we took advantage of. My sheepshead white fish with garlic mashed potatoes and squash was delicious. We ordered the corn/shrimp bisque and it was one of the best soups i have ever had. My son thought the tuna special was equally as delicious. Be sure and order the key lime pie and it’s big enough to share.
There are soft throws if a person is a bit chilly, very nice touch.
Megan, our server, was sweet and attentive.
Loved this restaurant!

Can’t count the number of times I’ve been here. Especially fun around festive dates, like Mardi Gras. Place was hopping. You never know who you might run into there - met Robert Plant there a couple of years ago. People come here from around the world to experience this place. Music scene is great too.

Gulf South / New Orleans themed restaurant offering a wide variety of seafood, steaks, chicken and pastas. With a full lunch and dinner menu, fantastic wine list and specialty drinks.
We enjoyed the beer selections but found our shrimp oyster dishes, respectively, to not be good enough to justify the price. Admittedly, they were of the fried variety but one would expect something special as one gets at Guido's in Houston or Galveston. The service was good and the overall tab not unreasonable.

We just came here for dessert, my wife had dark chocolate fudge cookie gelato, I had the milk chocolate cherry caramel bourbon gelato. Both were fantastic! Try it!

Raw oysters, reasonable wine, and history...that is the combination you find at Wintzells. It is full of signs with cute sayings and the wait staff knows their oysters. It is a causal dining experience that gives you a fun time and some money left over.

My wife and I wandered in looking for desserts. The staff was kind enough to squeeze us in between dinner reservations (an hour long opening). We took the recommendations of our waiter and ordered the snickers cheesecake and oreo bread pudding. AMAZING. Can't wait to go back for an actual dinner there.
