Best restaurant in an old gas station. Pulled pork and smoked sausage are my favorites here. The “hog heaven” sandwich is pure bbq happiness.

Make sure you get there early! I arrived just before 7a and there were only 4 doughnuts left! Apparently you can call in an order in advance, but I wasn't aware of that at the time. They were excellent doughnuts though! Very soft and fluffy. Not too sweet. Well worth getting there early.

From what I'd seen online, I'd expected a long wait for food, but a bowl of amazing homemade chicken soup arrived...MoreWe are so pleased to hear about your experience with us, thank you for sharing! Cafe Provence really has an impeccable reputation throughout Kansas City. After hearing so many wonderful things about the restaurant, I finally had the opportunity to visit myself and now full understand why it one of the city's best. Our group of four had the perfect evening, and plan to make a habit of dining here. First of all, our server, Angus was one of the absolute best host we have ever had. He really went above and beyond to make our dinner outstanding. Although we love wine, we are not as familiar with French selections, yet he directed us to an extraordinary bottle, in fact we ended up having a second. Furthermore, he helped guide us through our menu selections, and we all absoluetly loved what we had. The appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts were all on par with the finest places that we have dined. In addition, the atmosphere is incredibly charming. I regret that it has taken me so long to visit, however it is undoubtedly my new favorite!

One of our favorite dessert spots. The pie is handmade and the service is excellent. Great ice cream and large portions! Great prices. Highly recommend it!

Being from KC I’m pretty particular about my BBQ. This place did not disappoint! It quickly climbed to one of our top places. The food is absolutely delicious! It’s nice that you can make reservations. Everything that we have tried has all been good.

Having lived in Europe 12 years of my life, IKEA is always my mini-European vacation when I'm missing Europe. I have been to Various IKEAs in Germany, I've visited stateside IKEA in Seattle, Atlanta, and Austin area.
I ALWAYS grab something in the restaurant. It has always been amazing and worthwhile until now.
The lines for food were insane!! I've never had that bad of a line.
Then, the food. The meatballs were cold. The server was stingy with the gravy and the lingonberry sauce. The veggies pictured (a variety of beans) were not what we received. We were given a mixture of seasoned veggies which included cauliflower, carrots and a mystery veggie. I should have lived this but the veggies tasted freezer burned and the seasoning was seriously off. Although the food was cheap, this time, it was also worthless.

Not fine dining, but a basic barbecue joint, the way it should be. Good meats and sides, prices acceptable. Easy parking.

I love this restaurant and try to get here when I get back to KC. It is great for carry out or dining in. The pizza and calzones are delicious and we love the variety of salads. The staff is always polite and answer questions about their dishes.
