Richardson's Ice Cream

Reviewed By bezerk - Chapala, Mexico

Always crowded, always good and always fun. On site miniature golf, batting cages and a small animal farm Fresh dairy farm ice cream. Reasonable prices. Take heed a small cone is two large scoops and just $3.75. Kiddie cone is sufficient. Flavors are plentiful. I tried rum raisin, peppermint stick and orange pineapple in two trips.
Lines can be long but well worth the wait.
Clean and great service..

Maggie's Farm

Reviewed By Niti R

Maggie's is a great place to go for a hamburger or a complete dinner. It is usually very crowded and noisy. We sit in the back room which is quieter. Our waitress, Sarah, we excellent. We used our Serenetee rewards to get a free wing appetizer. They were outstanding. They are usually $10 for 8 wings. The sweet chili ones were delicious. The pulled pork sandwich was huge and delicious for $14. It came with fries, cheese, cole slaw and pickles. The seared tuna was very good. For $25 it came with nori rice, seaweed salad and blood orange sauce. They also have sushi, salads, soups, pizza and more. The warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream, whipped cream and sauce was decadent! They have plenty of free parking. Maggie's is in the Serenetee Group which is worth joining. I got a free meal and dessert for my birthday.

We've been here several times and have enjoyed dine in and take out, as well. Nice selection of sausage, beers, etc. for lunch.
Pates are very nice, as is slab bacon, many European regional sausages, and a good selection of Swedish and German delicaces which we brought to a friend.

New Brothers Restaurant & Deli

Reviewed By Enzalina - Boston, Massachusetts

So I have multiple food allergies and when I hear New Brothers served a pretty decent breakfast and the guys behind the counter were pretty cool, I decided to take my two besties and go. First of all never having been there, we were clueless as what to do. No signs, no one asking us if we needed help. We then figured out, it was a self service, grab your tray and order at the counter. When I asked the old guy about the oil he used, he got all defensive. I tried to explain to him that I had a severe allergy to soy and couldn't use soybean oil. I asked if he could use butter and finally after rolling his eyes at me he said he could use olive oil. I explained my other allergies and again he looked at me like I was wasting his time. My friend finally said, "if you don't understand you could end up calling 911 because she could have a reaction." I finally ordered an omelet which was dry and awful. I couldn't eat the hash browns and he didn't even bother to ask if there was another side I could eat. I ended up getting sick before I could make it home. Not worth and not a very customer service oriented place. Won't be returning!

We tried our 3 favorite dishes here, and were not disappointed. The yellow and green curries had the traditional vegetables in the sauces, the broth was well spiced with a pleasing zip, and the quantity provided a large amount to take home. The pad Thai peanut flavor was on the mild side, but good nevertheless. We did think the portion of rice accompanying the curry orders should have been larger.
For those who enjoy a glass of wine with their meal, the chardonnay tried was pleasant and modestly priced at $4.75.
Service was prompt and friendly, the decor more classic than usual, and attractive. This was our second visit, and we look forward to returning again.

Dunkin' Donuts

Reviewed By USACorgi - Sarasota, Florida

We don't have a Starbucks in Middleton, so if we want a coffee and not have to drive far, we will run over to Dunkin Donuts. I definitely think their coffee is very average compared to Starbucks. I like the donuts but they don't seem as fresh or as good as they were years ago...don't taste as "homemade" if you will. I have tried a few of their breakfast sandwiches and sandwiches for lunch, all of which were very tasty.

Blue Fin

Reviewed By c2h5oh_1 - Wilmington, Massachusetts

My wife and I decided to spurge just before New Year's Eve, 2016, and went to the Blue Fin. It is located on MA rt. 114 and parking is readily available just outside. We did not have reservations on a Friday night but were seated immediately shortly after 7 PM.

We were picking and choosing from the long Sushi / Sashimi recipe while the waitress brought us our drinks... me a large hot saki ($8) and my wife was a Blue Fin Martini ($8.50). Both of us looked at the Martini and the ingredients and smiled as my late mother used to make a similar looking and tasting drink that she got on a cruise many, many years ago (think "the Love Boat" for how long). That drink was called a "Portofino".... and she made it quite frequently... it actually was green because it had Galiano in it (yellow and blue make green). At any rate, the martini was fine as was the Saki.

As we went through the sushi menu, I realized we might be able to save a few bucks by ordering a Sushi boat... and we did! The boat we ordered had 45 pieces of chef selected sushi / sashimi / rolls and cost $70 and it came with Miso Soup (which we were going to order anyway). The Miso soup would have cost us another $1.50 each. The soup was average as Miso soup goes, but we both enjoyed it and almost bought a second helping (good thing we didn't).

The sushi boat came and was very attractive. Lots and lots of sushi... all very tasty and fresh. We were pretty full after finishing the 45 pieces....so it was a good thing we didn't order another miso soup. We did order a single order of garlic noodles ($5.50) which was loaded with garlic and quite different than garlic noodles we have had at other Teppanyaki type restaurants (Blue Fin is NOT a Teppanyaki restaurant where they cook in front of you). The garlic noodle order was not huge but was big enough to share and was quite tasty.

My wife was in the mood for another drink so she ordered a refill. I did so a bit later myself. What was interesting was that the Blue Fin Martini came in sour glass and was about twice as big as the original martini..... and even more reminded us of my late mom's "portofino".

On a negative note, our sushi boat was delivered by an alternate member of the waitstaff, NOT our waitress. A bit later I was suggesting to our waitress that she take a moment to tell us what each of the fish we were about to eat was.... good to know if you find a favorite (or the alternative). She was surprised that the alternate waitress had not taken the time to do so as she said she usually did. She had TWO jobs and both were in sushi restaurants .... she said she loved sushi herself and that is why she choose to work in two sushi restaurants. She was very friendly and attentive but not overly so.

So, we ate a bunch of sushi, so we recognized (tuna, shrimp, etc) some we didn't. If you go there and the person delivers the boat to you without telling you about it, ASK. We didn't and should have.

Although the meal was expensive as far as dinners for two were concerned, the total including tax was $117.98. The food portion was only $75.50 (for two people). The liquor was $35. The food tax rate was 7%. The liquor was taxed at 6.25%. Go to Boston and eat in one of the sushi restaurants there and you probably would spend twice what we did. And drinks would have cost you more as well. Good value for a sushi restaurant in the suburbs of Boston.
