Local Seafood "Dive" Restaurant. Hailed by Coastal Living Magazine as one of the top 50 Seafood dives on America. Fresh local seafood done right!
After walking in this restaurant, you must place your order first at the counter before sitting down at an available table and then your order will be brought to you. Although this is a very popular restaurant, I would probably not go back. Service was good and very friendly service but I did not enjoy my meal as much as I expected to. My husband had a good grilled fish taco but my fried seafood platter was just ok but coleslaw was delicious.

First stumbled onto this awesome bakery in May when we visited. They have something I had never seen or tried, fried glazed croissants; like a doughnut but a croissant that has been deep-fried and glazed like a doughnut! THESE THINGS ARE AWESOME AND ADDICTIVE! Bought them all the week we were there and some to take home! We were back in August and I knew about them then so needless to say, they were on my list! Had a box at our rental for the week and ordered a dozen to take home! They are expensive but worth it! Also, this place has great ice cream, regular doughnuts and other pastries and pizza...but don't miss the fried glazed croissants!!!

Staying in Apalachicola, we wanted to drive up to see the coastal waters of St Joseph Bay and Mexico Beach. We stopped in at Sharon's Cafe for breakfast and found the place adorably homey and the menu varied.
I had a combo meal with a Blueberry Belgian Waffle, ham and eggs. You can make your own combos there. So yummy and filling! Hubby had a similar meal. We both had endless coffee and a fun waitress. The only possible downside, if there is one, is you can't use credit cards. But sooo good- we'll be back!

If you want great coffee and incredibly delicious fresh cinnamon rolls, this is the place. This cafe has both inside and outside seating and sells a quality variety of teas, jams, sauces and salad dressings. I highly recommend stopping in.

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast. She had the Southwestern omelet and I had the blueberry pancakes. The omelet was fluffy and served with salsa and fresh sliced avocado. Excellent. The pancakes were awesome- fresh blueberries with a crisp edge and perfect fluffy middle.
We returned for dinner. The broiled scallops were great- fresh in a spicy butter sauce. The grilled shrimp was the same.
Fresh food. Great service. Plain and simple, Castaways has the right formula.

We got to Mexico Beach on a Monday afternoon late. We were hungry so stopped here to eat. It had almost a barroom feel to the place. With that and the old guy sitting at the bar with his whiskey and coke gazing around like a sandpiper on the beach, we took our food to go and are it at our rental house. The food was ok but there fried fish was really good. And a little over priced for what you get.

Nothing complements Toucan's great, fresh seafood and refreshing tropical drinks like the cleansing salt air, gentle breezes and waves rolling onto the beach just steps from our door. The menu at Toucan's of Mexico Beach reflects exactly who we are. Toucan's of Mexico Beach Florida combines the three must-have ingredients for the perfect seafood restaurant experience: An amazing menu of the freshest Gulf of Mexico seafood, a fun, friendly family atmosphere, and ocean-side dining with a relaxing view of our white sand beaches.
Local Oyster Rockefeller and fried shrimp were amazing along with a local draft from oyster city brewing out of Apalachicola! Service was good and the pristine view of the ocean could not be better. Just reopened from the winter months and well worth the visit!...MoreThank you for the great review! Come back soon.

What better place than St. Joe Beach to be Shipwrecked. Luckily, the Galley is intact and the Ship's Cooks are preparing The Best Oysters, Seafood & Steaks on the Planet with a variety of Wine & Ice Cold Beer to quench your Castaway thirst. Rescue efforts take place seven days a week.
Wonderful restaurant serving delicious fresh raw oysters and fresh steamed shrimp just about anyway you like. We chose garlic butter and old bay and it was great. Also had a cup of their homemade gumbo and it did not disappoint. Service was friendly and knowledgeable and efficient as well. Our server Joey was great. Beer was cold too!!

The place itself is nothing spectacular, and we don't love the restrooms are on the outside behind the building but...the pizza was delish!
We ordered cheese bread, Greek pizza, and a stromboli. The cheese bread was hot dog bread baked with cheese, we'd pass on that next time. But the pizza and stromboli were really good! We didn't order a salad but they looked really nice.
We did get ice cream from their freezer after...which could be a really nice treat but the ice cream seemed old and grainy.
I would recommend ordering this pizza and having it delivered if I were going back. I think I would enjoy it much more.
