Almost entirely destroyed during the Civil War, Meridian was rebuilt between 1890 and 1930 in a boom known as "The Golden Age." This legacy still stands, leaving the city with not just one, but nine registered historic districts. Attractions include the carefully restored Highland Park Dentzel Carousel, dating back to 1909 and still offering rides for just fifty cents each, and the Hamasa Shrine Temple Theater, featuring a massive 778 pipe organ that is one of only two still in existence.

If you're into frozen yogurt, this is Meridian's place to go. My youngest daughter always ask to go here.
Good: Large selection of yoqurt and toppings. Plenty of other things too.
Not so good: Price can add up quick. Door advertises wifi, but it doesn't exist.

Harvest Grill is a place to gather with friends and family. We’re a relaxed, casual restaurant with an inventive menu. Our Cross-Country Cuisine draws inspiration from our travels across America and prominently features fresh, seasonal produce from right here in Mississippi. It’s fun, healthy and affordable. Whether you’re enjoying our main dining room, our bar, our covered outdoor patio or our upstairs meeting room, you’ll feel comfortable in jeans. Of course, we like to think we’re worth dressing up for too, if that fits your mood. Come see us in historic downtown Meridian. We’ll make you feel at home.
Saw this highly rated on TA and I prefer to try different local eateries when traveling. Very glad I came here. Ordered the Pan Seared Salmon, $23, excellent! Best meal I’ve had in a long time. For dessert ordered the County Fair Style Bread Pudding, $7, based on the server’s recommendation. Oh, so so good...!!! Server, Anitra, provided top notch service! Nice relaxing environment in downtown Meridian. Easy drive from the interstate I-20. Look forward to returning to Meridian just so I can dine here again. They have outdoor tables as well.

Meridian's perfect restaurant for business, date night, friends and family. USDA choice or higher steaks, prime rib and seafood.
First time to visit and we will return. The petite fillet Hailey was amazing melt in your mouth wonderful. Crab dip and bread appetizer was outstanding and the bread pudding the best I have tasted. Way too much food but everything tasted so good. I highly recommend it.

Weidmann’s is has been a part of Meridian, MS since 1870 and for good reason. It offers a classic dining experience including beautiful architecture of the building itself and an extremely friendly/helpful staff. The chef’s menu is top notch, including inspirations from southern comfort style to New Orleans flare. Located at the heart of Meridian’s downtown area, Weidmann’s offers a truly unique dining experience, offering a feeling of traveling back in time to when the hustle and bustle of the old railroad town was at its peak. If you are looking for a delightful meal in Meridian, look no further!

The restaurant was clean and the food was very good. We have come to value Chick-Fil-A for their consistency in their restaurants. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We have stopped at this particular restuarant many times when passing through Meridian. It never dissapoints.

Went to lunch with two Co-workers. All had burgers and fries with a fried dill pickel appetizer. Pickles were perfect, crispybut not overly greasy. Burgers were near perfect as well, although buns were a tad off. They were slightly stale, and would have been better toasted or laid on griddle for a few minutes. Fries were freshly cut and fried but were battered which made them like a mini-tater log. Good service, good atmosphere.

We were passing through Meridian and decided to eat at La Piñata based on its positive reviews. The service was excellent, and the food was very good also.

Our family of eight stopped in for dinner on our way home from Louisiana. The pizza was delicious. The Chicken Rancher was a hit with everyone as well as the Philly Cheesesteak calzone. Each of our children were excited to end the meal with a delicious homemade dessert to go. The only drawback was the wait but each pizza it handcrafted to order with quality ingredients so it was worth the wait. They even brought pizza dough out to our youngest to play with while we waited.

Fun fun fun.... great place to have a wonderful meal and be mesmerized by the hibachi chefs . Place is clean and the staff is amazing at what they do. Very attentive wait staff and fair price if you go during the day. A little pricey for supper.

Our family goes to this Mcalisters at least once a week. Every time we go the staff is helpful and we get great service. Sundays seem to be their busiest day, but even then food comes out fast and the restaurant is always clean and inviting. The food is great and the managers really care about their customers.
