Dinner at Smokeys is always consistently good. Everything is cooked perfectly. They feature seasonal specials as well as special events. They feature additional special menus throughout the year. Currently a wild game menu is feature. Many wine choices and my old fashioned drinking friends say they make the best.
Service is exceptional.

Recent stop in to the Lazy Ace Saloon after I ruined dinner went looking for a place near by. Server was very friendly and told us about their pizza special that night. We ordered some onion rings first- nothing special. Pizza arrived pretty quick. Very good pizza and will return again for a sandwich the next time.

The Pines had great food and very nice people! It was a cozy and quaint restaurant. My mother was celebrating her birthday and the people there made it very special! Sang to her and brought her a slice of cake! It was a great experience for her and hilarious, too! If we lived closer and weren't just up for a family getaway, this is a place I would frequent! Highly recommend!

I have eaten at every establishment up here in the last 20yrs and all of them have ever resulted in "Should've just gone to Around the Corner". That goes for in town establishments and Pine Lake Lodge, and all of Hurley. Beaver Lodge used to...MoreThank you so much for taking the time to share your comments on TripAdvisor. We sat out on the screened patio and enjoy their Friday fish fry! The Walleye was terrific. My husband had cod and my brother in law enjoyed their pollack. All the fish was cooked to perfection and everyone ate every last bite, even though the portions were plenty! The view from the screen porch was amazing and the breeze was gentle on this hot late afternoon. I can't remember if the restaurant had air conditioning though, because the place seemed a little warm when we walked in. We didn't care because the screened porch was so pleasant! The bartender was hysterical and quick even though it was super crowded. I can't wait to try this wonderful restaurant again!!

WE stopped in here for a family dinner while vacationing in the area. The Irish pub food is always an attraction for our family! We all ordered different items..burgers, shepherd's pie, reuben, reuben burger, etc. Every entree was of good quality and the service was nice. If you're looking for a casual place to grab a hot meal and a cold beer....this is the place!

formerly CLUB 51, totally rebuilt with wing motel also totally redone
Went for the fish fry and were so very glad we did! The broiled haddock was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Everything from the clam chowder, homemade bread with cranberry butter spread, crispy potato pancakes, homemade coleslaw, tender baby asparagus, craft beers on tap, were excellent. All was inclusive with the huge portions of fish. We had to take doggie bags as we could not finish it all. The service was outstanding. While the bar was full (Friday at 6pm), the restaurant was pleasantly inviting. We will be back for sure!!

I love eating here when I am north of Minocqua. I had the scallops which were very good. Tender morsels served in a garlicwine ssauce topped with bread crumbs and butter then finished under the broiler! Tasty! The salad bar has lots of options, including home made liver pate. Great tasting as well! Make a point to eat here as you travel north and only a short ride from Minocqua.

Ate here for the first time last week and thoroughly enjoyed it! It has a very casual (but very clean) bar atmosphere, but the food is outstanding. We had the Moosebreath Burger and the Crispy Bacon Ranch Chicken Sandwich, and if the rest of the menu items are as good you can't go wrong. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area!
