Wonderfully prepared and delicious sushi of all kinds. Also Tempura and other choices for those who do not like sushi. The room is a bit loud and crowded, so not for an intimate meal with much conversation. Go to eat! Great wines and beverage choices too. Reasonably priced for this type of food.

Happy to find out this little town has Starbucks, friendly staff, clean and good environment. A little bit time for waiting if you use drive-through services. But again, it's the Starbucks. And the location is easy to hop on and off highway 101.

This in house made ice cream was excellent. There was a line out the door. Inside there is fun seating in a giraffe glider. I'd be here frequently if I lived in this town.

I love this restaurant! I always plan on a wait because this is a busy, popular restaurant. But, the wait is worth it. Have crepes is a fun meal choice. Renata's has savory to sweet crepes. There are choices to add a salad, or, in my case scrambled egges with jack cheese to go with my sweet crepe. All of the ingredients are fresh and the serving portions large. Additionally they have an expresso bar and I enjoy ordering my lattes. The atmosphere is nice. Customers run from conservative, everyday people to college students and dred locks.

We stopped at Central Sandwich on our way to the Redwoods for sandwiches to go. Absolutely delicious, fresh, quality food. Lots of options to choose from. Employees are friendly, personable, and make sure your sandwiches are made just how you like them. They wrapped and packed our sandwiches up and we were on our way for a day of adventure in the Redwood forest. Highly recommended!

Located in a strip mall & not very big, but popular for both their Mediterranean food and their hamburgers (odd combo, but seems to work well for them). Falafel sandwich was delicious. Gyros meat was sliced to order and looked very hot in contrast to another reviewer’s comment (steam coming off meat). Inexpensive.

We stopped in to try local brews and lunch. We had the Caveman pizza and side salads. Both were really good. The house salad was a step above your usually side salad with garbanzos, real lettuce (not iceberg), homemade croutons and other goodies. We had the beer sampler and liked about 9 of the 12.

Folie Douce is a local, seasonal, organic California bistro serving dinners Tuesday-Sunday at 5:30. We embody true California cuisine by utilizing as much local, seasonal, and organic produce and meats as possible in dishes influenced by all ethnicities. Seasonally inspired, we have an ever changing menu while also maintaining some of our favorites year round. We highlight our local community by featuring local winemakers, farmers, and artists on a rotating quarterly basis.
City quality in a coast location with an excellent, very affordable wine list that focuses on local offerings. Excellent service and I love the half size ordering options. I'm in the restaurant biz and would definitely return.

There are limited restaurant choices in McKinleyville so eating at Carmela's is a logical choice. But it really is a great place to eat! The service is usually very good, though it slows when they're busy - seems they never have enough help when the place is full and that happens a lot of nights of the week. They are wonderful about substitutions or creating your own Mexican favorite - they also have several meat and fish choices plus tofu so you can build your own ...whatever. I like supporting a local place and also enjoying great food. Good margaritas and hot fresh chips with salsa choices. Yum!
