Been there done that yet so disappointed I can't rewind it back, service was slow by a waitress that seemed undertrained & quite frankly a bit rude, can't really remember her name but she was the only blonde waitress with a ponytail on that Saturday evening, observed her treating other employees quite disrespectful as well thinking she could have possibly been head waitress on staff that evening, as for the food i got the prime rib dinner as I had heard it was to be there best in town & regretted that decision my 1st bite in, it was over powered with auju flavor rather than that true steak house flavor I expected & I ordered it Medium but got Well which is nearly like chewing on a belt to me, I personally will not return & wouldn't recommend it to my family or friends, and as I seen through other reviews no I will not change my review and no I don't not want free food as it was bad enough the 1st time around, no need for a response at all because my opinion is exactly that mine & it won't change.

This was the first visit and stop for lunch. I was seated immediately in a very nicely decorated dining room which was larger than expected for a storefront restaurant. My server was there promptly and provided good service , but did have a little difficulty understanding her. Ordered the lunch combo with a choice of several menu items. Ordered the beef taco, the chicken burrito, and the beef enchilada with a Coke. The lunch combo was $5.99 and my total check was $9.07 with beverage and tax. Was served chips and salsa which were very good but thought the salsa was a bit thin. The lunch was a little more spicy than expected which cause more heartburn than I would have liked. Have learned to always ask for the milder items on the menu, but this was more than anticipated.

'The Abbey Coffee Company has been roasting coffee in small amounts for awhile and has recently opened a coffeehouse in Marion. They are located in a large building which also houses the Tree of Life Christian Bookstore, Tree of Life's college textbook distribution center, and a large atrium area available for community activities. More businesses are planned for the building. The coffeehouse opens before the bookstore, but they are connected and one can browse in the bookstore before they open and bring a book one wants to the coffeehouse to purchase it. In addition to a selection of coffee and non-coffee drinks, there is a limited selection of baked goods made there. I enjoy their coffee and lattes. I am aware of several people who do not like their coffee. They do not do French presses, but this is the first time I have had coffee made by the "pour over" method, which is slow but worth the wait. The coffee roaster is right there behind the counter. The downstairs is rather plain and sparse, but for those who are able to climb the fairly steep steps, the upstairs is worth checking out, with cozy furniture and their Wi-Fi bar. For the warmer months, there is an outdoor seating area with a large gas fire pit. This is another choice in Marion for the coffee lover who prefers to patronize a locally owned coffee shop.

Has been successful in Marion, Indiana for about 6 years now.
Loved the caramel macchiato! This is the BEST Starbucks I have been to in or out of state. They always get my order (Special) correct and even though the drive thrust is usually busy they get you through quickly.

Authentic Mexican cuisine at affordable prices is what you will find at La Charreada. The menu has a lot of variety and great lunch and dinner specials. The service is good but sometimes language can be a barrier but otherwise, La Charreada is a great Mexican restaurant and it is clean.

The Hostess House is a beautiful historic architectural landmark that is open for lunch weekdays and is available for special events. Built in 1912 by prominent Marion businessman J. Wood Wilson as a wedding gift to his bride Peggy, It was designed by Samuel Plato, a notable African American architect. All proceeds go to maintain and preserve this historically significant structure. A gift shop and resale shop also support the house. Many weddings, receptions, parties, meetings, art shows and other social events have been held in this lovely, gracious building since 1950. Tours are available upon request.
Have been going there since childhood. A great place to lunch with the ladies. They serve a blue lemonade that is cold and refreshing. Not a large menu, but soup and sandwiches just right for a ladies appetite. Furnishings getting a little worn. But it is on National Historic register enjoy.

Although Tree of Life is really a bookstore, they operate a snug little cafe and desert bar right next to the main bookstore. You can simply drop in, grab a hot beverage and sit and visit with friends for awhile. They serve various coffees and flavored beverages at prices which beat the national-chain-brand store that is down the road a few blocks. Free WiFi is available and I have sat there for very long periods of time enjoying a few sips and just using the Internet. There is an outdoor seating area but the indoor one is spacious and often under-busy. While in Marion, take a little time out to relax, visit with friends, or just use the Internet (on your device) for a spell. If you're in the mood, grab a new book, a coffee, and just immerse yourself for awhile and enjoy.

King Gyros has it all. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Hungry for Greek, they have it. Hungry for great barbeque....they have it... (Try a Baked Potato with pulled pork and cheese, Yum). Just want a burger, or a steak... yep they have it.... Excellent desserts. Just a common man restraurant but Jimmy serves it up grand.

The food is very good and great presentation but unfortunately service is not the greatest, unless the owner is there...it could be better. Still is nice to have this option in town. Also chairs need to be replaced, they are not very comfortable.
