Several times we frequented this (once) riverside baitshop turned local favorite bkfst/lunch stop, but upon our recent visit, things have gone terribly "down the river without a paddle".
TT was never the least expensive but a minimum the food was served hot, well prepared with capable and friendly service.
Our most recent, and likely our last visit, we stopped for a quick mid-am breakfast, took two empty stools at the kitchen bar.
ordered 1 egg, side of HBrowns, an English muffin and two cups of (what tasted like) boyds coffee. the presentation meal was thrown on a plate by the cook while she talked on her cell phone. Yes....no gloves, no washing of hands, and she is touching our food with the same hands she is using to hold one of the dirtiest devices on earth.
We washed down our $14 breakfast with our dirty coffee cup an hit the door.
So sorry this place has taken our business for granted...perhaps it will go the way of many other similar small shops and simply drift down stream. Lots of quality breakfast houses just a couple miles over the river and up the hill.

The food was really good, the drinks great. The staff seems....understaffed. The poor waitress could barely breathe and the dining room was full, she was the only one waiting tables. But the menu is really great, with a good variety of healthy options. If you are not in a hurry this is the place to hang out. Very cute interior.

Great variety of gelato! The people are friendly and accommodating. I will definitely go back and send my friends there, too!

Stopped by here on the way to work to try this little place out. The doughnuts are nice and fresh, and you get a little baggie of doughnut holes with your dozen doughnuts. Big and fluffy doughnuts, worth the stop if you're headed towards the city.

In town visiting daughter and son-in-law for Thanksgiving who, although living Maple Valley 10 years, had never been here. Much nicer decor than their standard Thai place and they thought food better. Moving to Everett soon and disappointed they had not found place sooner. That said, busy place, under-staffed with slow service on a Monday night. Ordered 2 apps and 3 entrees for table and had plenty of food for some lunch the next day. Total bill before tip and tax, with 2 beers, $82.26 for 4.

If I could, I'd do 3.5 stars -
I was here recently with my daughter-in-law. It was "girl's afternoon out." She much have gluten free items, and had called here ahead of time and found that they had gluten free (GF)treats.
Obviously from the name of the establishment they serve wine an coffee. They also have a selection of cold drinks - smoothies and specialty lemonade.
We chose a fruit smoothie and also the lemonade - it was NOT sweetened w/sugar or sugar substitute!!! The peach ginger lemonade was sweetened w/the peach juice and was delicious! My daughter-in-law also liked the smoothie.
There were a number of treats in a dislay case; we didn't see any GFtreats. We asked - and voile - they pulled them out from a jar/container behind a glass window. They did have two different cookies - individually wrapped by the manufacturer.
We thought they would certainly sell more if they were visable to the public!!! My daughter-in-law thought her molasses ginger cookie was good; my cinnamon roll was "OK"
There are tables and chairs also a couple chairs by a fire place.

I have been many times now to the Maple Valley Hop Jack's and every time has been a great experience. Everyone works super hard to make sure you get exactly what you want. I am a bit different as many times I ask for "no bun" hamburger, specifically served a special way on a bed of lettuce (cutting down on carbs!) and they make it every time perfectly using the shredded iceberg lettuce I specify! Recently I took my son out to dinner for his 44th birthday and his first time there he said afterwards that his meal was terrific. He got specific about the ingredients. His teriyaki burger was big and delicious. He was very impressed with the quality of the hamburger Mine was great too. As others have said "consistent" "attentive and friendly" "clean". I think it fits it's "niche" nicely - family friendly salad, taco, burger, etc. big menu local restaurant (I have been to the one in Issaquah too) Not a fancy pretentious place or a truck stop diner. NIce.

In town and met my sister for breakfast. The restaurant was clean, bright, and relaxing atmosphere. Seating was spacious and comfortable. We were able to have normal volume conversation without disturbing others. Staff attentive and professional. Food arrived hot and was made to my expectations. Would stop there again

Mod Pizza is different compared to restaurants that do the prep in a backroom kitchen. The chefs are right in front of you and they are very accommodating as to your food desire. Everything is fresh and nicely prepared. The brick oven pizza is excellent. Prices are reasonable too!

We came here because we had a $15 coupon in our Entertainment Guide. That was nice as prices were a bit on the high side. $9 for a mozzarella cheese ball appetizers with a lot of fufu but not much cheese. $15 for most burgers along with fish and chips and $30 for a NY steak.
I opted for a St. Louis rib platter and my wife had fish and chips. The food was pretty good but our server Brooke, made the evening special. She found out it was our wedding anniversary and she got us a huge apple cobler with ice cream for desert for free. We appreciated her attentiveness.
There were lots of TV's with the Seahawks game on and it turned out to be a very nice evening.
