Things to do in Manhattan

I was visiting Manhattan for my sister's wedding. I wanted to check out the restaurant scene and take a break from the family time. Thankfully, I was familiar with part of the restaurant scene from talking to people from Manhattan as well as discovering spots in previous visits. I had been to Tallgrass Brewery (great beer) and the Chef (fantastic breakfast spot). Earlier in the day, I checked out the sister restaurant for lunch which did not disappoint and so I was excited to check out Harry's. It had a welcoming vibe. I was greeted immediately at the door and again, at the bar. There was one seat available at about 8 pm on a Friday night. Two bartenders alternated in taking care of me. I had a bird's eye view of watching them make drinks and interact with the servers. I chose wine instead of a cocktail but was impressed by their selection of cocktails. I wish their wines by the glass had been more interesting and extensive. That would be my only complaint of the experience. There by the bottle selection is fantastic.
I sampled a few of the white wines before selecting a glass. I started with the tuna and cucumber which was refreshing and lovely. I was considering a main course but felt I would be committing to too much food. Instead I tried the crab cake which was ample and some truffle fries. In hind sight, I wish I had tried one of the fish selections or pork chop. I liked the sides that were served with them. Perhaps next time, I will do just that. Wonderful ambiance and classic experience.

I hate waiting for more than 15-20 minutes at any restaurant to be seat but at the chef it's totally worth it! It usually takes 20-30+ to be seated and it feels like you are in the way because of the size of building. My wife and I have eaten here numerous times and have never been disappointed in the food! So delicious and reasonably priced!

B&B Restaurant menu features small plates meant to be shared and continuously brought to the table. Don't want to share? We also offer a few big plates. Cuisine is American; but let us delight you with Southern and Midwestern influences, as well as unexpected culinary twists. Our full bar service features playful cocktails, an impressive bourbon list, and wine on tap. Yes actually, wine AND housemade specialty cocktails on tap. Whoever said you shouldn't break all the rules in the Little Apple?! B&B Bakery offers cakes and cookies from our retail counter as well as special orders featuring cakes, cookies and breads. Let us do the baking for you! We love big home-style desserts made from scratch with the finest ingredients. Bring home treats to share with your favorite people; an indulgent celebration cake; or an afternoon pick-me-up sweet treat for the office!
I’ve been to Bourbon and Baker several times and I find my issue is with consistency. Sometimes my food is great, and other times, not so much.
Because of this, I don’t feel like I can go in and try anything- so I stick to a few things like the chicken and waffles and sliders.
The drinks are a little hit or miss too. Fortunately, if you hate the drink they’re not really picky about making you a new one.
One of the things I’d avoid is the duck tacos. Those can get really fatty.
Overall, I keep coming back and I’d recommend you try it out also!
It’s a good place for small groups.

Taco Lucha is an excellent restaurant in the Manhattan area. They have tacos a la carte, awesome appetizers and drinks. Highly suggest the Black and Blue Taco as well as the Raspberry Black Bean dip!! The dip is AMAZING!! If you're looking for a refreshing drink on a hot summer day (or any time) I suggest the Nancy (Old Milwaukee and Pineapple Juice). The one downer of this place is that the atmosphere is always packed. You should always expect some sort of a wait time to get a table. The inside seating is also very loud as they play their music over the speakers. Other than that it is a great place!

So Long Saloon opened in 2001 and is proud to serve fresh prepared burgers, sandwiched and salads to the Manhattan and KSU community. Displaying a Brunswick bar from the turn of the century as well as Yee Haw industries art work. You have to try a Raspberry Black Bean Dip, Resist Temptation Burger or a Nancy.
Love this place! The waitress was very professional and when asked what she would recommend, she stated the fish tacos were really good! Really good?? They were amazing! And the special sauce she recommended was on point as well! Highly recommend this place!

My dinner was very good and the service was excellent. The rolls are always a treat. They had it decorated like the show Stranger Things, which was interesting. Forgot to ask them why. Always a good experience at this restaurant. Excited for one opening near my home soon.

Fun brewery with one of the best burgers and steaks I’ve had in awhile. Manhattan, KS can offer up a good meal and Little Apple was great to enjoy food and friends.

Our party was three adults and two kids - 6 and 2 - and we visited for dinner.
We were seated quickly at a table overlooking the beer tanks. The kids were given kids menus and crayons which was helpful.
We ordered the poutine and pretzels as appetizers and enjoyed both. The meals the table ordered were varied - meatloaf, korean wings, a burger, corndog and mac and cheese. We were all happy with the food and those at the table who had beer really liked it.
If I lived in the area I think this would be a place we'd visit often!

We had a big family reunion in Manhattan and chose takeaway so family could mingle more in our ver large hotel room. AJ's was the universal recommendation for best pizza. We ordered a lot and with the exception of the margarita pizza, it was excellent, still crisp crust, hot, very tasty. Good value.

The menu here is extensive! It's all somewhat tex mex but there are a lot of options so pretty much something for everyone! They have daily specials and a happy hour during the week. Wednesdays are their Sangria nights; the white sangria is very good, red was a little too sweet.
