The place was packed at about 3pm with folks who had just returned from a group hike. Our patience was rewarded! We bought more than the two of us needed and enjoyed the pastries for evening tea, cake for dessert and pastries again for breakfast. Awesome, awesome, awesome! The only place that I remember better pastries was in Seville, Spain!
The only challenge is that there is no place to sit and eat. Oh well!

Right at the turnoff for lighthouse, small cute cafe where locals hang and no one should be disappointed with the menu or portions. Great wholesome breakfast for us to start the day of our continued ride up the coast.

The service was good, the food was real good, they have a LOT of beer on tap and some good wines (but not a full bar). On a recent week of vacation in Point Arena we went there many times. We sat outside and watched humming birds and on two occasions could see whales off-shore.

Great Black Board of Coffee choices, I ordered the Obama. They also have non-dairy options. Surf theme and cool Tshirts. Hava Java and watch the surfers and snorkerlers head out to the ocean from the Pier. Fun.

I looked for a cuisine type of Brew Pub, Pub, or bar and there is none, so I opted for American. This is a bar with carry-in from either of two nearby restaurants. The restaurants actually bring the food over (almost like car hops)with all the serving items. Then they get them back later on. 215 Main has been in business about 8 months. 707.882.3215

These are some really nice people who are doing things as well as they can.
And, I am not from this part of the country so I may be a little faster moving.
But it took nearly AN HOUR to get 4 sandwiches with no sides for dinner last night.
And, I know the definition of the word literal/literally. This comment is literal.
While all other food was good, I asked for mine sans onion and mustard and yet the mustard was there. Needless to say, I ate around the edges and had a snack when we got back to our lodging. There was no way I was going to ask for it to be fixed - it would have been 10PM....
Good local beer, good local wine, decent atmosphere although it was a weird group when we left. Their rosemary almonds are WONDERFUL. It's probably a great place if you aren't a traveler and want a limited, specialty menu (no entrees, just smalls and hand-made sandwiches) and you have all the time in the world.

We ended our one day visit to Point Arena with a fantastic dinner at this small local cafe with high quality and delicious dinners. Our entrees, mussels and clams, coq au vin, gnocchi, butternut squash with caramelized apples was fantastic, fresh and worth the price. For dessert, the apple, rhubarb and blood orange crisp with Chantilly cream was amazing.
Restaurant is a medium sized dining room not crammed with tables, decorated with paintings of birds on the walls. One wall is connected to the bar. Service was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and non-intrusive.
Reservations are recommended to avoid not being able to get in. We called around noon and left a message. When we received the call back, 6 pm was the only time available for the whole evening. We were very lucky to get a reservation. Highly recommend.

Arena Market & Cafe on Main St. was one of my favorites. Amazing selection of specialty items well organized in a space much smaller than the usual grocery.
Employees were helpful & knowledgeable.
I enjoyed their fresh soups & sandwiches & locally-sourced fruits & veggies.
Wifi & friendly vibe.
& May I say that I admire the towns in this area that support their locals & refuse to let fast-food chains in.

To put it simply, our experience at pirates cove was terrible. The salad my mom ordered was dirty, the lettuce had not been cleaned properly and you could see the specks of dirt and taste the grittiness. The grilled cheese my little sister order had the wrong type of cheese(she ordered it with mozzarella but they gave her one with cheddar). When we told the waitress, she didn't even apologize, and we decided to pay and leave.

We had visited the casino previously and as the choices are limited, we decided to eat there. We had identical meals, steaks, baked potatoes, mixed veggies and salads. The only difference was the dressing, I had ranch. The dressing is served in a little plastic cup with a top. This is an indicator that they have been poured way in advance and kept cool. Since I was the one that ended up having 'issues' late in the evening and through the next morning, I am pretty sure the dressing was the bad thing.
This leads me to believe that the county health department does not check the dates on the labels.
No, I do not plan on eating there again if I go back.

Lisa's Luscious Kitchen is owned and run by chef Lisa Joakimides. Using fresh, ripe fruit from the farmer's market, she produces over 50 types of homemade jams, fruit sauces, butters, marmalades, chutneys, Asian cooking oils and infused vinegars. There is a recently built storefront and commercial kitchen located in Point Arena right on Highway One where people may purchase products, cookbooks, frozen soups, gift boxes, baskets and bags. She ships gift boxes around the world, year round via UPS or the post office. Lisa also makes beautiful, custom-crafted wedding cakes designed to suit each individual couple. Several years ago, she began making delicious seasonal soups, freezing them the same day, and selling them by the pint and by the quart from the shop. Lisa usually has most of her jams and chutneys available to taste when you come into the store.

We found this place looking for lunch, it's not a restaurant and all the food is frozen or preserves.
