The patio is so cool, you can tell a mix of locals and tourists and everyone seems to have a dog. All well behaved. We had Chile relleno dish which was delicious! With cheesey grits. OMG! Our server was great and we had a fantastic time!

I've had a coffee here almost every time I visit or drive through Madrid - I'm one of those customers, who comes in, gets a coffee and a scone and sits outside in the sunshine with a book or chat (quietly) on my cell phone. The coffee is hot, good, fast and served with no drama - I'll continue to be a loyal customer - I particularly enjoy it on a weekday fall or spring morning when I have the outdoor seating to myself, well 'myself and a dog or two' - always good.

While touring the Turquoise Trail, we stopped here to enjoy quaint Madrid. I really enjoyed the black cherry vanilla ice cream, a type I hadn't tried before, but would order again. My husband enjoyed a thick milkshake. Before eating, we toured around the store to view all the art work, jewelery and knickknacks. All in all, a pleasant stop on the Turqoise Trail..

Thank you Lou (bartender from WI) for the great service and recommendations. The fried hatch chiles were fantastic as well as our NM wagyu burger with hand cut fries. We felt so welcome and enjoyed our time at the Mine Craft...I cannot even imagine what it’s like there during season. This will for sure be a set stop whenever we pass through, we enjoyed it so much!

Black Bird Saloon

Take a step back in time! The Black Bird Saloon is in the historic village of Cerrillos, NM off HWY 14 on the Turquoise Trail. Housed in a building that was built in 1885, this traditional and authentic saloon is reminiscent of the old west and mining days at the turn of the 20th Century. During the mining boom of the late 1800's Cerrillos was slated to be the Capital of NM, but was later decided on Santa Fe. Come enjoy our place off the beaten path and the tranquility of our village.

My husband and I just happened upon The Blackbird Saloon in Cerrillos, NM on a recent trip to the Santa Fe area, and are so glad we did! When we first stepped into the Saloon, we thought we'd suddenly found ourselves on a movie set...MoreIt was a pleasure meeting you and your husband DH. We are happy you stopped in. Thanks for the great description of our saloon! The Padres say Thanks! See you next time. Patrick & Kelly - Black Bird Saloon
