I know people get their wonderful baked goods, but go for lunch and get their soup and sandwich. For about $10 with specials daily at a couple $$ off you get a nice cup of soup and a sandwich that you build. Choose bread and ingredients. Wife and I shared to have room for some raspberry pie.
Tip, order at the counter and sit outside on a nice day.

Ice cream store featuring our own fresh from the farm ice cream. Large selection of flavors of Premium Edaleen Dairy ice cream as well as the best soft-serve around! Deluxe sundaes and milkshakes too. Exceptional deli style sandwiches for those times when you want more than ice cream. Full line of fresh dairy products and a wonderful assortment imported Dutch cheeses.
Their regular cones actually have two scoops and their doubles are overwhelmingly large so I've learned that I am best off with just a single cone. My teenagers have grown up getting these cones and are quite content with the double cone bonus of yummy flavours. We often stock up on a few items such as the milk, eggs, cheese, etc. before heading back to Canada.

Promptly greeted and self seated. Excellent service before, during and at end of meal.
Well known locally for their Hot Turkey Sandwich which was one entrée and 3 Fried Chicken pieces was the other. Great tastes and large serving sizes leaves no room for any desserts. Great home cooking style.

Woods Coffee began in Bellingham and has swelled to around ten different locations. It's a true local success story owned by a conscientious family who do a lot of giving back to the community.
Every location of Woods is a little different, but the interior of Lynden's is one of my favorites. Something about the lighting has a peaceful, zen-like feel to it. The coffee is great, and so are the very upscale teas which don't resemble anything you'd buy in a supermarket. Always worth a stop.

...More like a wine bar, with a couple two-tops stashed hither and yawn throughout the store. The menu consists of protein-based charcuterie and cheese boards that scream for a glass of wine and no longer features Chef Andy's cooking and beautiful presentations. There's definitely a place for wine bars in this world (though this one, closing at 6 p.m., can't quite be that), but ladies who lunch will need to go elsewhere.

Infusion Cuisine features fine Mexican, Italian, and Asian cuisine in a family-style atmosphere. Located near Lynden, Washington, it offers one of Whatcom County's finest dining experiences. Chef Eduardo Diego uses the freshest local ingredients to create each unique dish. His careful attention to detail and presentation will delight both the eyes and the palette. In addition to its variety of dinner entrees, Infusion Cuisine also offers a lunch menu, appetizers, salads, desserts, and fine wine.
Can one restaurant really do 3 types of cuisine well? We ordered Italian and Asian and can answer a hearty affirmative, at least to those two. One of the owners, Jessie, waited our table and was very personable. If you want chef prepared food in a small, cozy restaurant with a casual atmosphere, this is the place to go. It would be fun to bring friends from out of town here and we're anxious to try something Mexican from the menu. In about two weeks, the restaurant will discontinue serving lunch and be open for dinner only Tuesday through Saturday. Too bad their lunch business is slow. I guess it's just too out of the way for a lunch stop.

We are from Texas, the home of great BBQ, so we were a little worried about going to get BBQ in Washington... but surprise! This place had great BBQ, the pulled pork especially, and we loved it! The portions were large and prices were reasonable....MoreGotta love it when Texans eat here and then they leave a positive review about our BBQ. Makes our entire crew mighty proud. Thank you!

Stopped by on a walk to buy a pastry or bread. One person behind the counter gave eye contact but turned her back on us without a word. Another was busy with her back to us. Still another person peaked around the corner chewing gum while looking at her phone and went back. After a third person came behind the counter and ignored us. We left. No one acknowledged us standing there waiting to pay. I've eaten here before but won't again if I can't get waited on at the counter for a loaf of bread. (And, no, the place wasn't too busy or full.)
