There aren, too many places to choose from in Long Lake and The Cellar, off on a side road might be overlooked, but for those who know, it is comfortable, and dining for all ages is enjoyable. The waitresses are very friendly and accommodating . The fare is predictable but most adequate We went recently with our grandson and will be sure to return again as we try to patronize restaurants which offer good dependable food and service

I won't go back and I wouldn't recommend that anyone else go there either. We were really excited to stop at Flavor because it sounded like it was going to be a fun, delicious place. Unfortunately, the one staff member we encountered was quite rude. I can't comment on the actual food because we didn't get to buy any of it. I won't return to a place where the staff is rude to the point of not seeming to care if they are driving away customers.

In the midst of the mountains, this restaurant offered a good stopping point for lunch. And it was lunch with a lake view. BLT and Cobb salad was excellent. Home made soup was filling. Service was fast and friendly. Lots of stuffed animals on the wall. Great moose! Can't beat the location.

Grilled Paninis, made to order, Soups, Sodas and Coffee. Lobster Rolls on Fridays from Memorial Day Weekend through Columbus Day Weekend. Paninis range from the Rondeau (Roast Beef, Caramelized Onions, Roasted Red Peppers, Mozzarella and Horseradish Mayo) to the Little Tupper (Turkey, Sun-dried Tomato Pesto and Mozzarella). Over 20 sandwiches to choose from. Great for a picnic at the beach! See our REVIEWS under our name in THINGS TO DO in Long Lake.
We have been patronising the ADK Trading Post since it opened and have known the owners for years. It's a great place for souvenirs, ADK/rustic style (many hand made crafts!), fishing supplies, general groceries and the best lunches ehvah! It's not uncommon for my husband to bring home a bag of ADK Trading Post Paninis to share when he is in town (the "Rondeau" and "Lila" are favourites with us). Fridays are the best for Lobstah Rolls! And morning coffee is always more fun when you can sit down at the table there. The location is convenient to downtown Long Lake (right on the Tupper Road) and many of the camping areas at Lake Eaton. Vicki and Bill and all their helpers are friendly and a wealth of information about Long Lake and the Adirondacks in general. If you're ever in the area... DO stop by... you won't regret it!

We stopped here for a quick lunch before a hike. We ordered the Thai Turkey sandwich, classic corned beef sandwich, and Ham-ilton County sandwich. All three sandwiches were excellent, but they were $9 a piece. The prices are not listed on the menu, so it was a bit of a surprise.

Al fresco on the lake. Best food in town and the only eatery on the lakeshore. Real New York City Jewish Deli Fare... Pastrami, corned beef, Reubens, Hebrew National franks, bagels, lox, whitefish salad, Coney Island Knishes, real vegetable veggie burgers, barrel cured pickles, Hahn's crumb cake, fruit puree smoothies, gourmet coffees, espresso, lattes, cappuccinos. home baked pastries and cakes...much more. Only the best. Seasonal ... July 1st thru Labor Day.
I grew up with Manhattan Jewish food, so I know what good is. This little place is an oasis in the Adirondacks. Everything on the extensive menu is truly authentic, from the pastrami, corned beef and Carnegie Deli Turkey breast to the smoked salmon, bagels and knishes. The place is run by a husband and wife who has a lusious English accent. Her husband has a story for everything. Nice to eat by the lake. Don't miss it.

I was staying at the Shamrock Motel (Reviewed by me separately) and the girl at the reception recommended the Long Lake Diner for dinner, so off I went.
The setup at the diner is sort of strange. There is the restaurant immediately when you walk in and there is the Owl's Head Pub in the back that has an open sitting porch but serves different dishes (from the same kitchen...). The sign outside only mentions the diner somehow.....
I sat down in the restaurant without knowing about the pub.
The beef liver was well prepared and the rhubarb and wild berry pie was home made and tasty. Nothing outstanding but fresh and tasty.
I discovered the pub only when I asked about the toilet/restroom.........
Nice and simple place for nice and simple food!!
