Upon arriving in Llano, I spied Chrissys' Bakery. Despite driving right past it on several recent visits I just felt it calling to me this time! I managed to slide in the door just a few minutes before closing time. Consequently mostly everything was put to bed for the night but the nice lady behind the counter did her best to describe the available goodies to me.
She apparently did a good job as the two pastries I bought were very tasty and enjoyed after the Llano Opry performance that evening.
Can't wait to stop back in when in town next month (earlier this time) to see what all they have available.
Recommended.

Listen, this isn't your bbq boutique like you get in Austin. This is community seating, talk to your neighbor, eat some really good bbq cut fresh right off the pit. Self serve fixings, jalapenos and bread on the table. If you want candlelight and wine with your bbq stay in Austin. If you want great tasting, fresh food with a neighborly atmosphere this place is great.

An authentic pit barbecue. Meats were wonderful. Next time we’ll ask for lean meat on the brisket—ours was mostly fat. The sirloin steak was perfect. Ordered two pork ribs but had an extra bone attached without meat but added to the weight. Next time we’ll get the sirloin steak and ask for lean brisket—no ribs!!! Will definitely go back.

I have tried the Dairy Queen in Llano twice. Both times there was between a 20-30 minute wait at the drive-thru for a cheeseburger, fries and a coke. The last time they forgot the fries! This is not fast food! They're slow & incompetent! It's not cheap either. There are faster and better places in Llano.

While traveling from Colorado to Austin, we decided to go beyond Brady before stopping for dinner only to discover our options in Llano the nearest town, with any offerings, were very limited per Yelp. We were 44 minutes away, but Tommy's closed in 22 minutes. We called and they agreed to take our order and let us eat it there even after they closed. The ingredients are fresh, the pizza is thin crust and wood fired. We really enjoyed our meal and the friendliness of the staff. I'm sure Brady has some great places, but I'm sure that none would have pleased us any more than Tommy's.

Reopened under new owners late in Nov. 2010 . Trip advisor has it listed as a hotel, but currently it is not. Here is our review : Psstt. Here's a tip for gourmands, wine lovers, beer aficionados: The Badu House (under new ownership) has excellent fun, food, wine, beer, that goes well with the mysterious history and fabulous atmosphere!

On our first try of The Badu House last night we were impressed with the variety of beers and wines, and the... tasty light menu prepared by a chef in training who has created some great tasting items sure to tempt your palate!

The Badu House staff has done an outstanding job creating a new, special experience for Hill Country visitors and locals alike!
We prefer to sit outside (they have a friendly cat who hangs around)............on certain nights they have live music. Haven't tried the food, but they have a HUGE selection of beers! It's fun to try a new one each time.

My wife and I were in Llano for the weekend. We had lunch here Sat & Sunday. I had a chop sandwich which was really good and my wife had the Turkey sausage in Saturday. Both of us enjoyed it so much that we returned Sunday. This time I had a pork rib, tender loin & Turkey sausage. My wife had Turkey breast. All of the meat was very moist and had a great flavor. I enjoyed their sides as well. We will defiantly be back. I think it is the best BBQ in town.

We had lunch here while we were in the Lake Buchanan area. Service was great, fast,
and staff was very friendly. Price was right. Had a great BLT and tea. We will stop here again when we are in the area. Always look for a small town restaurant when you can.
