This place is very special, mostly because the proprietor is a real character who basically invites you into his rec room to hang out, enjoy yummy paninis and sweet coffees and pastries while laughing and joking with all of his friends. This is not a fine dining establishment but the service is top-notch and everything is made with good old-fashioned care. Stop in for a coffee and a grilled cheese, a "Novemba" sammy with Turkey and dressing or just bring a laptop and chill out in the window and watch Livingston roll by.

Outstanding flavor in French toast as well as the bacon and patty sausage. Gil's opens to the Murray Hotel lobby/bar. So you can get Gil's bakery and kitchen products paired with the Murray Hotel's bar service by sitting in the Murray side.

We are a from scratch bakery! All kinds of interesting and delicious treats. We make our bread, dough and pastries each day. We serve sandwiches, salads, pizza from 8am to 9pm Tuesday to Saturday and pizza only 12 pm to 8 pm on Sundays.
We mostly wanted some coffee and maybe a donut but what a great place. The coffee was good but the pastry was amazing. We split a huge cinnamon roll which was amazing but the best part might have been visiting with the staff. They obviously love what they do and were having a lot of fun doing it.

Locally owned and operated coffeehouse and bakery specializing in Montana roasted all natural coffee drinks and Italian style espresso and cappuccino. Visit us to taste our renowned New York style bagels handmade every morning - plain or in a variety of sandwiches - as well as our scrumptious scones and over-sized muffins. We also prepare daily fresh salads, hot paninis wraps, and homemade soups in the fall and winter, chocolate brownies and gluten-free heathly bar. And you won't believe our prices, we strive to deliver the best value for money in South-West Montana!
This place used to be amazing. Now it is only good. It must have changed hands. A year ago it was one of my favorite all time places for breakfast.
Now the everything bagel is almost unrecognizable. We ordered the original and the Greek bagel sandwich. They have taken most of the taste and texture out of these sandwiches.
Coffee is still good.
Please re-hire the old chef. It is always sad to see an old great place go down hill.

A place to nourish your mind, body and soul, through food, art and love. Come and have fun! Be creative! Get Yumtwisted! :)
This breakfast and lunch spot is located in a corner of the Livingston Shane art facility. It is open Sunday - Wednesday only. The chef, Sarah Kaye, is very creative and all meals are freshly prepared by her. She has a unique concept called "yumtwisted" that has you mix and match items and ingredients to customize your meal experience. She likes spicy profiles but no one should be scared away. We had lunch on a Tuesday and enjoyed Sarah's version of eggs Benedict that used a base of squash instead of an English muffin, with house made hollandaise sauce and wonderful potatoes on the side. We also enjoyed Carne Asada soup, a Reuben sandwich with delicious house made sauce, and firery Mac and cheese with "amazeballs" an pepper sauces mixed in. It was ALL GOOD! And Sarah is very personal and welcoming! Please go if you can!!!

Located in the heart of Southwestern Montana, the Livingston location was the original Chop House that began May 22, 2001. In 2004 we relocated a few blocks down from the original location to an old railroad receiving warehouse just a few feet away from the main line of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad now known as Montana Rail Link. The food is fun, the service is great and you will leave knowing you did't just have dinner, but a dining experience.
Best steak I’ve ever had. It really lived up to its name. And the service I received from Elijah was best in the industry. I ate and drank his recommendations. He nailed it and his service and demeanor made it a pleasure to enjoy. Thank you Elijah. And the cow who gave ya that chop.

Although the counter person wasn't the most pleasant barista, he made it up. One of the best cup of coffee I had in the last couple of months

Perfect table, perfect server, perfect wine, perfect food and absolutely the most perfect dessert. We had dinner at a different restaurant the second night we were there, but we stopped in for dessert to carry out. The hostess was so gracious and had the chef put together a wonderful box of deliciousness for us!

Traveling with some family we decided to go to dinner in Livingston, and the reviews and online menu for this place looked promising. Just to be safe I made reservations to be sure to get in. When we arrived it was obvious that reservations weren't needed.
I thought this restaurant was better than the 3 star average, but not quite at the 4 star very good that I gave them and I had hoped to find a 5 star surprise that night.
The waitress seated us promptly and advised us of the specials for the evening. Everything on the menu seemed quite pricey, but I understood since they indicated they try to use locally sourced and organic products whenever possible. My sister was paying so I opted for a more reasonably priced dish, which was an Asian beef salad with rice noodles, for $16.00. My sister had the lamb chops which were quite pricey at $38.00 and my mom had the shrimp appetizer which was around $13.00.
The food had a good flavor, except for the beef on my salad which was a bit tough and flavorless, but everything else was fine. Both my mother and sister had items on their plates that they didn't care for the taste of. Another problem was, my sister and mother were still hungry and did not feel they got much for the money. My mother had intended to order dessert, however, and the huckleberry/peach crisp with ice cream was the saving feature that night.
The reviews and online menu indicated they have catfish, but it was not on the menu this particular night, and we were all disappointed about that. We read their lunch menu which sounded quite good, so perhaps that is the best time to try this place.
