Not great, but OK. Looked at Trip Advisor and found myself not in agreement with the high ratings....last two restaurants were rated perfectly according to our tastes. So the 3rd time was not a charm for us. Marinated pork was not something I would ever order again; it's back to Chipotle for pork! Hubs Milaneza was Ok but he would not reorder.

I had to drive across Nebraska and as many of you know it's not much of a scenic drive especially in the dry winter. I thought of stopping by gas station to pick up a energy drink but I needed something with little more kick. I saw the coffee cottage and decided to stop and ordered a white chocolate mocha with a total of five shots. Service is Quick friendly and the coffee tasted amazing thank you guys keep up the great work I'm wide awake now!!

Stopped in Lexington, NE for lunch after a long morning on the road. We always try to find a local restaurant. Madeline's Cafe and Bakery was a great find. Friendly owner and staff. Freshly made food. I had a great salad and my husband had a bagel Turkey sandwich. Best iced tea on our trip. Coffee was great, too. We shared a raspbery coffeecake......also very good. If I lived in this town Madeline's would be my go to spot for lunch and moning coffee.

This is a preferred place to eat in Lexington for fast food. The place is always clean and the food is always fresh. We go often for the $5.00 lunch special as it is very filling. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

This restaurant was near our hotel. Had I read the menu more carefully, I would not have chosen the deep fried, breaded chicken pieces. It was good, but far too heavy & sweet for my taste. My husband was happy with his lighter chicken & vegetable selection. The staff was very nice & service was excellent.

Fast if not cheerful service. Our favorite flavors were all there. It's inside a gas station convenience store.

I've been going to Delight Doughnuts off and on for many years and their commitment to quality, value, and excellent treatment of customers is second to none. Their donut selection is vast (but get there early) and they even offer bagel and croissant breakfast sandwiches which give other restaurants a run for their money. They usually feature four to five different varieties of coffee as well as two coolers full of many different types of cold beverages. They even feature treats and beverages from other countries, something you typically don't find in other bakeries. The services and friendliness of the owners is great and you can call in your order ahead of time and pick up at the drive through if you are in a rush.
I have very little to complain about with regards to this bakery as their donuts are huge, always fresh and there is a great selection. Just to fore warn you, if you want to take advantage of the selection of this bakery, get there early as they tend to sell out and I believe they close by noon.
Also, be patient as this is a popular bakery and you may have to spend a few minutes in line, but trust me, the food is so worth the wait. One of my favorites is the ham, swiss, jalapeño stuffed croissant pocket. They are fantastic, just like the donuts!

Decent Mexican food, not the best in the world, but good quality and quantity for the price. Good complimentary chips and salsa too.

This tiny restaurant appears to be run by a mother-daughter team from El Salvador, and has clientele from the people working in the agricultural industries in the area. The food is good, interesting, and was completely unexpected in central Nebraska. Delicious, simple, cheap. No alcohol. Had pupusas, plantain, tamales, and a beef tongue burrito. Enjoyed the experience. 4 stars for the pleasure of an unexpected pleasure.
