Breakfast here recently was a nice experience. Coffee and fresh OJ with our breakfast sandwiches. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. We ate outside in the rear garden which was very relaxing and pleasant. Many bird feeders and birds to watch. Prices are moderate and the staff is friendly. Looks like a very cute motel too, although we did not stay.

We are closed for the season and will re-open on Friday May 11, 2018 ... we want to thank everyone for visiting us this year and hope to see you soon :-)
This is the place to have an excellent meal in this small windblown town between Yosemite Park and Mono Lake. We had a tuna sandwich and a Turkey chipotle sandwich both outstanding as was the soup. Everything seemed to be freshly made with a novel twist. Portions were very large and the service was good. The price was a bit high ($24) for a simple establishment in a remote Eastern Sierra small town, thus only 4 stars. Unless you just finished climbing El Cap, split one meal with a friend, thus making the price reasonable. All around a very nice eating establishment.

We had an early lunch here, then spent the afternoon hiking and swimming and soaking at hot springs, then stopped for ice creams late in the day. Everything was good, the staff were friendly, the price was fair, and the bathrooms were clean too! I was impressed at the vegetarian options at this burger and ice cream joint on the main drag through town, try it next time!
Salmon Burger - Very good (one person said it was too soft/squishy)
Black bean chipotle burger - Excellent (add mushrooms to make it perfect)
Fries & Curly Fries - Both OK, the regular fries were great, the curly fries were a bit overcooked, dry and brittle
Ice Teas - Arizona in the can, but the can tops were clean, not everyplace thinks to wipe down their can tops which can be really gross from storage dust and dirt
Ice Cream - Absolutely Fabulous - Pick a flavor and cover it with good chocolate, yum.
Prices very fair, not cheap but you get good portions and good food for the cost
2 Salmon Burgers, 2 fries, 2 ice teas = $20
1 Black Bean Chipotle Burger with Mushrooms, curly fries & ice tea - $14
3 Ice Creams were less than $10

How interesting to find a deli this good part of a gas station. The whoa Nellie Deli is such a welcome site after coming out of the Tioga Pass and finding virtually nothing to satisfy that hunger cravings. We had been advised that this was a wonderful stop and the food was good, very good. Well that recommendation came from a friend who travels a lot and climbs a lot of rocks. He was so right. Even though the place was packed and it seemed like there was a line just a long line to get even to order. Don't pay any mind to any of that the people who are making the food taking your money and helping you figure things out or nice helpful engaging people who treat you right. The machine that's making the food is quite efficient and the food's coming in and flowing out people are coming in and flowing out and in not too long we were eating a beautiful hamburger and a lovely salad. We both were real happy and will be returning to this place when we're around the area. Really they aren't many choices in fact there aren't any other choices for miles and miles. But don't let that stop you this is still the best choice and it's a really good choice

Mono Cup Coffee, located on Hwy 395 in the beautiful town of Lee Vining, is here to serve the best Espresso and Freshly Brewed Coffee in town. We welcome all weary travelers looking for a great place to stop and rejuvenate their day. Hope to see you soon!!
If you are looking for a nice quick inexpensive morning bite in Lee Vining try the Mono Cup.
Great little coffee shop and open early (6am). We just had bagels and coffee but that was more than enough
to get us on the road early to Yosemite.

We've eaten here a few times while traveling up and down the Hwy 395 and REALLY enjoyed it. But not this time. Lunch, approximately 11:30 am...Our half chicken was NOT BBQ, but tasted more like oven baked. And over cooked and dry at that. Had to smother it with sauce to choke it down. Our corn on the cob tasted old, tough and chewy. I call it "cow-corn" when it's like this. And that was 2/3 of the meal. Maybe an off day? Salad bar and French fries were just OK. I do thank them for allowing our Yellow Lab to eat with us on the outside deck.

I know what you're thinking, EWWW, meatloaf?? I thought the same thing but I was dining with friends that ALWAYS stop here for food when they're on the east side of Yosemite. I order the lunch portion which comes as a sandwich with grilled tomato and pepper jack cheese on sourdough and it was delicious! I ordered the chocolate pecan pie to go and my friend ordered the blueberry crumb cobbler with ice cream. The pie was delectable. I normally hate blueberries but that was a treat! They also don't load their pie full of sugar so you can actually taste what you're eating. The staff were really friendly as well. Oh and they let you order from their lunch menu in the evening which is perfect since you'll want to save room for dessert. The dinner items are a bit expensive but once again, the food is good, it's all home made, and you can order lunch portions instead.

Located on Mono Lake. For miles north of Lee Vining on Highway 395
Not a lot of options in Lee Vining for overnight accommodations. The Mono Inn was charming and had a nice view of Mono Lake. The staff was friendly. I thought the price was high for the accommodations but happy to find a place to stay in Lee Vining.

If you are like me, you yearn for that old fashion neighborhood restaurant where waiters and waitresses are friendly, work rapidly, and that you like a human being. This is actually the only restaurant in town now. They serve all three meals a day with large portions at each meal. I ate there at least 5 times for breakfast, or dinner.

The atmosphere was enchanting; the building was apparently moved there from Bodie Ghost Town. We were treated and served marvelously. However, the five small pot stickers for $9 were not very good, and the fried brown rice with vegetables was tasty, but a VERY small serving for $18. If you have an unlimited budget, it's a place to enjoy. We wouldn't go back again because of the food value. The wine and beer were reasonably priced.
