We ususally just bike on by.....but it is truly worth a stop. There are many pie options. The crust is excellent as is the fruit or cream filling. Love the berry pies as well as the sour cream raisen.

This little old fashioned diner car in Lanesboro MN is really neat. Gordy makes everything fresh from ground coffee to homemade hash browns and American fries, to pancakes, waffles and French toast. Great place to have breakfast after an early morning bicycle ride on the Root River bicycle trail.

I was really impressed with the brands that they carry and the beautiful organic vegetables. It's a small store but has deli take-out items. There were lots of healthy beverage choices and other healthy products.

Focusing on made-from-scratch cooking featuring locally grown meats, dairy, and in-season produce. We offer a large selection of burgers, sandwiches, and salads with some unexpected twists. We serve craft beer on tap, homemade draft root beer, and roast our own coffee beans. We have a large selection of gluten free and vegetarian meals as well.
My husband and I stopped here twice during our 3 day trip. One day we had beers and appetizers, and today we had lunch with rhubarb pie. All of their dishes are filling and flavorful. My husband had Korean BBQ lettuce Wraps and I had the blacked chicken grain bowl. Best coffee in town and best rhubarb pie. Service is awesome!

Fine dining in a casual setting. Dine on the spacious deck overlooking the flowers and the Root River Bike Trail or in the cozy upstairs dining room surrounded by authentic Amish quilts and local artwork. Enjoy our homemade bread, soups, fine entree choices and specials, but remember, our menu changes seasonally, so come and try our most current dishes. There is always a delicious variety of desserts.
Nice dining patio. Seemed like a great place for lunch after a fun morning in the Lanesboro area. Blue cheese and caramelized onion burgers were one of the specials, so several of our group went for that -- mistake. Others had the calzone and it was good. Service was OK-had to request ketchup at a table with 3 burgers, but our water glasses were never empty. Small but reasonable selection of tap beers. Overall, not the place we were looking for or expecting.

I've ridden by the Old Barn Resort numerous times when bicycling the Root River bicycle trail. Decided to try their restaurant for supper this time. Smoked pork sandwich with coleslaw, bread and butter pickles, honey mustard sauce and chopped smoked pork was very good. Smoked ribs were okay although I'm partial to the ribs I smoke myself.

Overlooking the Root River and right next to the Scenic Bike Trail. Because the ambiance is so great this is a very relaxing atmosphere. Riverside provides a full bar menu specializing in our martini's and house in-fused Vodka for our Bloody Mary's. All of our food is house-made and we offer a very diversified menu. Deep fat fried foods are not an option as we choose to stay on the healthy side. When in season we use fresh vegetables from our gardens and locally that are chemical free or organic. There are vegetarian options and of course if you have special needs diet be sure to talk with us as it is easy to prepare something that may not be on the menu.
We shared an appetizer and beer at this restaurant right on the root river by the bridge. The bruschetta was excellent.

Stayed in Lanesboro Saturday night and visited the pastry shop for Sunday Breakfast. I ordered the Cajun crepes. It was great. A, fluffy delicious crepe filled with sausage, hash browns and other stuff seasoned perfectly on a bed of hash browns with 2 eggs over medium on top....wife had the eggs benedict and friend had hash....great food..enough for 2 meals each...love it and go for breakfast here whenever in town.
