I really don't know how breakfast restaurants can offer pancakes and waffles but not REAL maple syrup. We ordered blueberry pancakes and the accompanying warm blueberry compote was wonderful. Sadly, the "syrup" was the cheap, tasteless, sticky, stringy corn syrup trying to pass for the real thing. Which is impossible! Give diners the option of paying more for real maple syrup, please!

It's your run of the mill Starbucks and a little tucked away. Only thing is it can get really loud and really busy especially around 3/4 when all the schools get out and the students walk over to get drinks. Logically around those times it can also get backed up and you sometimes have to wait a little longer for your drink. Once had a problem with my drink, manager took care of it. If you're going there to catch up it's great, but the noise can make it tricky to find a good time to go study.

Had a wonderful time with my friends enjoying a wonderful cup of tea. Purchased delicious bread to take home after!
This is not a in and out place to have tea or coffee but a proper place to have a leisurely conversation with real cups! The bakery is wonderful with plenty of take out options!

This newly renovated restaurant is now the best restaurant in the Lake Forest and surrounding area. All dishes tried by our group of four were outstanding and beautifully presented. The staff is extremely professional and attentive but at the same time are relaxed, able to have a bit of fun with their guests. Highly recommended.

A real authentic home made candy and ice cream store. The local owners are so gracious and warm. The kids all love Sweets.

So excited that I was able to get a great cup of coffee for my trip into the city. They even used my favorite brand of almond milk, Califia. Had many vegan choices from Holcomb Hollow. Love their jams, gluten free muffins and gluten free biscotti. This was such a great find!

'have been enjoying exceptional Japanese cuisine here for years.
The seafood is always first rate / sushi-grade and offered in numerous variations of preparations. 'have been fortunate to dine here often with Japanese friends and there is a 'Japanese' menu [in addition to their front of the house/official menu]. 'have tried the spectrum of their offerings and have yet to hit a missed note.
Although their sake offerings are - somewhat, limited, they do have Sapporo Premium on draft and a full bar.
Service can't be improved on, as they're most hospitable and genuinely care about how they're perceived.
I can't recommend this establishment highly enough.
They do luncheon specials that are of exceptionally good value; with their Bento-box luncheon offerings of beef, salmon or chicken teriyaki [either of which come with fried-rice, miso-soup, tempura shrimp and vegetables, as well as a choice of various rolls], for just $12.99 hard to pass up mid-day.
Free/self-parking is available in the lot immediately out front of the restaurant and their menu is available on line/on their web-site [though not the highly variable, handwritten in Japanese menu; for that you'll have to ask when you're there].
Japanese: "乾杯" (kanpai, lit. "Empty the glass", similar to "bottoms up" in English)

Quaint little shop as is all of Lake Forest. The Metra Station is right behind this shopping center. Lots of parking. Friendly people just hanging out enjoying their day. Good service and atmosphere.

Open since April of 2015, the tiny juice bar is located in Westwood Square -- just north of Jewel on the west side of Western Avenue. It cannot be seen from the street, but it is worth the search.
The menu includes smoothies, juices, protein drinks, acai bowls, super shakes, cleanses, etc., plus lots of healthy add-ins (ginger, matcha, whey or vegan protein powders, and so on).
The juices are identified by the ingredients (no cute names) and are freshly pressed each day (Saturday juices are pressed on Friday).
16-oz. juice combos to take home are available in glass bottles in the refrigerated case. There is a $2 deposit on each bottle.
This is the place to pick up a healthy, raw, and unpasteurized beverage and .....
as their motto states.......
"Be the best version of YOU!"
Street parking.

This is a great neighborhood Italian restaurant that was filled with the locals and their family's. The atmosphere was relaxing and the wait staff was always near our table filling up our water glasses and providing us dinner drinks throughout the meal. For our appetizers we ended up ordering the Burata cheese and Prosciutto with artichoke hearts. Both dishes were outstanding, excellent flavors and taste. For my main entrée I ended up ordering the filet with mushrooms, cooked in a red wine reduction sauce with a side of mashed potato's. This dish was also outstanding. Overall excellent meal.
