Fast-casual restaurant in Lake Delton. MACS features a variety of specialty macaroni and cheese dishes, sandwiches, salads and desserts.
I had visited MACS Wisconsin Dells downtown location before and was already in love with their concept and execution. I was a little skeptical about this location given the fresh built commercial box exterior but they have done a really good job of warming up the originally sterile space. Part of the original location's charm was the cute decor. They have done a really good job of recreating the space here with tin style ceilings, brick style walls and cute art.
The menu is creative and full of delicious options. I have had the chicken bacon ranch and the taco mac. At first I thought the chicken bacon ranch would not be good because the thought of ranch dressing on mac and cheese seemed (for lack of a better word) gross. It wasn't. It all works and is a delicious, albeit high calorie, meal. The taco mac was also a great and tasty lunch.
They offer three sizes of the mac and cheese. They are well thought out and each are just the right size from the petite eater to the mega muncher.
Love, Love, Love this incarnation of a mac and cheese shop and what better location than in the state of Cheese!

We had a wonderful time here for our first visit. We stopped at the bar for drinks that were excellent. The view of the Wisconsin River is amazing and we enjoyed the people who were also seated in our area.
The dinner was served correctly and the staff was professional. It is a popular place and they don't take reservations so get there early or plan to wait - but it is worth the wait.

A locally-owned, create-your-own artisan personal pizzeria and salad bar in Wisconsin Dells. We also offer a wide range of Wisconsin craft beers, wine and delicious Italian cannoli and seasonal cheesecakes. PLUS, Gluten-Free crust and GF desserts, as well as, tons of vegetarian and vegan offerings, like Daiya Vegan Cheese! FUN! FAST! FRESH!
We enjoyed the pizza a LOT! The next time we go I'll request more sauce and olives! Lady putting it together was a bit skimpy!
I would've given a five star rating BUT we had a problem with it being TOO breezy!! The people next to us agreed! A staff member told us they weren't allowed to change the thermostat settings! Thus, the meat wasn't hot. I mentioned that to a staff person.
I know THIS appears TOO critical, as the pizza was VERY good and couldn't bear the price!!

Monk’s Bar & Grill is known throughout the Midwest as the place to go for delicious craft burgers and great service. Our fun, family-friendly dining atmosphere creates a memorable visit for both adults and children. We’re not just a sports bar that loves their Wisconsin Badgers, we’re supporters and fans of local youth sports and schools in our communities. The Wisconsin State Journal has stated, “The (Monk’s) burgers have taken on somewhat of a legendary status in Sauk County.” We have to agree, our burgers are pretty fantastic because we pride ourselves on quality ingredients. Hours of operation are subject to change based on season. Please call for most accurate closing times.
Six adults and a 19months child for an early dinner Large clean dining area good selection for all. Baby had oranges, and cheese curds ( yeah, I know) pasta, burgers , chicken wrap and fish fry for adults. Typical $12 burgers for the Dells, $17 pasta and $11 fish fry seemed a bit pricey. The fish was two pieces (not whole fillets) about 2" long. While everything tasted fine , portions were small in general. Not the best deal in the area.

Celebrate the art of fine dining in Frank Lloyd Wright style. Field's at the Wilderness is truly the gem of the Midwest. The 36-foot ceilings, fireplaces, indoor water features and exposition kitchen should not be missed.
It had been many years since we’ve eaten at Fields. It used to be a favorite restaurant of ours. We are completely fine paying a little more to have a good meal. But for the price at Field’s, I expect more than a ho hum food and dining experience. We started at the bar. 2 Old Fashioned’s, a root beer and a glass of wine...$50. The wine was Louis Martini Cabernet ($12). Pretty steep for a bottle that can be bought for $14. Salmon Creek was the other choice for $9. If you’ve ever been unfortunate enough to drink Salmon Creek, you won’t make the mistake again. The stuff tastes like it is strained through a sweat sock.
Once seated, our waitress informed us of specials. While she was very efficient, she was unfriendly and slightly condescending. We ordered Lobster Bisque (very blah, lacking any dimension or the buttery creaminess that normally accompanies it). For dinner, ribs off the kids menu which were very good. Sweet, tangy BBQ sauce and falling off the bone. Filet, perfectly cooked but also nothing special for $40. I had a seafood medley of lobster, scallops, shrimp with risotto. Seafood was cooked perfectly but again pretty tasteless. Risotto was a glob of flavorless rice resembling wall paper paste. Green beans on the side, cooked perfectly and no flavor whatsoever. The waitress was not personable and checked back only once. To wrap it up, we left feeling a bit let down. A disappointing experience to say the least. We won’t return.

Stopped in with boys for our first visit. We had lunch...Rachael was our waitress...she was excellent and very patient as we could not decide what we wanted and it took us a while. We had a buffalo quesadilla for an appetizer... which was very good. One son ordered a child siza pizza. He loved it. My other son and I shared a thin crust with a variety of toppings. It was excellently prepared. We could not finish. Wish we had an Unos where we lived. It was awesome. We'll go again when we are in town.
