While travelling through Pennsylvania we stopped here because of Trip Advisor reviews for breakfast. When we arrived we sat at the picnic table out front because we were travelling with our dog. The menu had numerous dishes exclusive to the restaurant. And had many specialty combinations. We ordered the Blacksmith, the Adam& Eve, the Nemo, and some water for the dog. The food was prepared quickly and they brought a clean bucket of water for the dog. The Blacksmith consisted of 3eggs made to order, a large homemade hamburger patty, shredded creamed beef with thick sliced toast and a mountain of hash browns. There was so much, our teenage boy couldn't finish. The options chosen for the Adam & Eve were 2 eggs over easy, ( what turned out to be a large piece) ham, sweet potato wedges with cinnamon and sugar, thick and hearty whole wheat bread and baby apple fritters. The Nemo was homemade crabcake Eggs Benedict and another mountain of home fries. The meal was tasty and very different from the standard diner breakfast.
Throughout the meal the servers were attentive, pleasant and ensured that we were enjoying the meal.
Eventhough this is 10 minutes off the highway, it is worth the stop.

Doughnuts!
Really good made to order donuts. Excellent selection and service. A couple of tables on site. Coffee ok. Milk and other drinks are also available. Love that they make seasonal donuts along with regular menu. Definitely a spot to try if you like donuts.

This coffee shop is buzzing in the morning with a blend of townspeople, college students, professors and truckers passing through. Great casual atmosphere and free wifi. Fresh pressed orange juice every day and great homemade soups and salads. Stop in for a coffee or stay all day, but bring your wit. The conversation can get eclectic.

Great food, Hawaiian chicken and coconut shrimp was very good. Service was the weak spot, got our food and was kind of ignored after that. No one came back to table until we were done. By then we needed a box and had needed drinks for a while. Waited for ever to get check and even longer to pay. Place was not busy early on a Friday. Will try again hopefully service will match the food.

On the way back from Renningers Antiques Extravaganza we decided to have lunch at Pop’s Malt Shoppe. This is a nice and interesting restaurant/ice cream parlor. My wife had the Jack Daniels Chicken BBQ sandwich and I had the Sloppy Joe BBQ sandwich. They came with fries or Mac N’ Cheese Bites (good.) The Chicken BBQ sandwich was better than the Sloppy Joe. Next time we will have an ice cream lunch. The selection of ice cream looked great.

Stop in this little college town bagel bar. Great selection of bagels, cream cheeses, and bagel sandwiches. They offer coffee and the like as well. Bought a sun dried tomato bagel with cream cheese and a Turkey club on a plain bagel for my husband. Both were delicious. Planning on stopping next week on our way to the fair.

A family style sit down restaurant that also incorporates a micro brewery. We provide a full bar for guest and good food and a revolving micro brew list on tap. Banquet facilities are also available on site.
Located in pleasant downtown Kutztown, this is a good place for business luncheon or dinner with friends. Friendly staff, vast selection of foods -- from German inspired classics to contemporary. Beer selection is impressive but I cannot comment beyond that because I did not have any. Friend I was with vouched for the quality of their in- house brews.

Cant go wrong with Marks. We always order from mark's every friday and always great food and fast delivery. The cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteaks are the best. Dutch fries are my favorite to add to anything I get. Check out the facebook page out for the specials of the week!

Right in the center of town, this small restaurant has been around for 17 years. Tasty Mexican food, especially burritos which are all meat, no fillers. Comes with rice and cheese. Free chips and salsa as starters. Excellent lunch deals on weekdays for $6.99. They have a parking lot in rear and there is also free street parking.
