My favorite place for Coffee! A new Starbucks is going on down the street, but I doubt I will use it more than once. I have a Starbucks gift card.
Every time I stop for Coffee the sunny, cheerful staff makes my day with how friendly they are. I will always be a Dutch Brothers customer!

Word of mouth is with out a doubt the Best breakfast food in Salem.
We go out at least once per week and try every breakfast place we can find. They have unusual dishes and amazing food quality. You will be waiting a while, it’s a very small place and they have maximized the seating but it’s super popular.

Specializing in craft cocktails and authentic German cuisine, Bargarten takes inspiration from the Bavarian social houses & bier halls of Germany
We luckily just happened upon Gustav's Bargarten in Keizer and had lunch there. We were glad we found Gustav's, as we just looking for something filling in the early afternoon with 3 hours of driving left to go. We were very impressed with the ambience, the service, and best of all, the delicious food. Our meals were hot, reasonably priced and if you like authentic tasting German food, this is the place to go!

I have eaten at the Wild Pear innumerable times, and I have never had a bad meal. If my wife is out of town, and I'm on my own, this is where I slip away to lunch. Some things are real standouts. The French dip sandwich is delicious, on a nice crusty baguette, with tender, flavorful beef. The lobster melt sandwich is great. The coconut curry butternut squash soup is fabulous.
Even though it is great, Wild Pear isn't perfect. Because it is an open space, and a little crowded, it can be a little noisy. I don't mind, but my wife doesn't like to go there because of the noise. Parking is a little problematic. I often have to park a block away. On the other hand, the wait staff is pleasant, professional, cheerful, and efficient. Oh, and the place is spotlessly clean. I appreciate that.

2 families really enjoyed this place. Food & service were good. I personally had the Arroz Con Pollo w/cream sauce, and very tasty! My wife had the fried plantains... The kids enjoyed the food, and we will be back

Annettes is located in the historic Kingwood Building. Originally built in 1928 to be a market place. The building has adopted many occupants through it's time. Annette has given the historic building the respect it deserves with a dramatic makeover inside and out. Many people still remember the old market place and can't believe this is the same building from way back when. Come dine with us in our modern, yet home style stmosphere, with friendly staff to make you feel right at home.
Annette’s is one of those local places you can’t not go to. It’s got amazing food! Good portions and the people there are friendly! We like sitting in the bar and ordering appetizers and drinks. It’s a good atmosphere. Stop in grab some great food and drinks and hangout!

We split 2 lunch specials (comes with rice for $9.00 ea). The man who took our order was gracious and gave us no grief about customizing our dishes as vegan. We ordered the vegan version of panang (peas, bamboo shoots, green beans, onions, peppers) and it turned out to be one of the best panang dishes we ever have had… and we always order panang in all of our travels! We ordered vegan Pad Kee Maow (Drunken Noodles) “A very tasty pan-fried wide rice noodles with egg sweet chili paste, bell peppers, onions, green beans, carrots, broccoli, and sweet basil leaves” The noodles were chewy and a bit strange but the chili-sauce coating and the fried tofu were delicious! No music playing; I think that would help the ambiance. Nice art. Very clean.

My wife took me to Bibimbap House while we were in Salem for my birthday, and we found it to be an outstanding choice. Parking was ample, and they opened up their more private back room for us so we were seated quickly. Many menu choices, and our server was friendly and attentive without smothering us. We loved the complimentary egg/veggie appetizers with four different Korean toppings. Absolutely delicious. Then our entrees arrived. My wife's Bibimbap (#9) arrived sizzling and beautifully presented, and I was treated to a well-proportioned, lovely combination lunch (Beef Bulgogi). Both dishes were flavored well and gave us many tastes of Korea. And, best of all, they were very moderately priced. I highly recommend Bibimbap House to both local and visiting foodies!

I'm always looking for a good new simple lunch place and stumbled into this place thinking it was just a coffee shop. To my surprise, it was a really great breakfast and lunch find. I just had soup and a salad, but my wife had a waffle, egg and bacon. The bacon was really good and the waffle must of been good, because I wasn't even offered a taste. My soup was a baked potato cheddar, which I was told was made right there on the premises. Delicious. And my salad, while only a side was better than the average "side" salad, while small. I will go there again. It has a very pleasant atmosphere, and the staff looks like they actually like working there. So I give it a thumbs up.
