We usually hit the Coffee Store in the Napili Shopping Centre most mornings but it was closed on the morning of the ballistic missile threat so we ventured a little further south to HVC.... a great find.
Their coffee is great, barristas with personality, and some of the best ingredients I've found in the area. Seeing Monin syrups behind the bar is an easy indication of attention to quality. I've mentioned to the Coffee Store on many occasions that they should either hide their terrible Torani syrups or hide them behind the bar but nothing changes. I do understand that Hawaii is famous for food colourings, Spam and other scary things but I'm sure there are many customers that would appreciate the good ingredients found at HVC.
We will return!

We loved the fresh seafood, the Japanese noodles and the sake. It was a little noisy but we enjoyed every minute of it. We loved our server's sake suggestion.

Thank you, Brie, for looking out for me and my love for the lemon bars here. We’re in Maui every December and every December we come here for our coffee and morning pastry. I then discovered the organic raw ball made with peanut butter that I started eating every morning before my morning run.
I have written a lot of reviews and have given very few 5 stars. The Coffee Store Napili deserves 5 stars. They make a lovely design on top of your latte.
My husband and I just reserved our two weeks in 2018 at our time share down the street from the coffee store. We will see them again late November 2018.
We will be sure to get the lemon bars.

We had high expectations, but were disappointed. The cocktails were so-so. The service was great. The food was really good but overpriced, but you expect that in a hotel. The restaurant is near the swimming pools which hurts the ambience. Lots of better places to visit on Maui

Burger Shack is a casual, oceanfront hideaway where guests can savor signature burgers, whimsical shakes and a selection of featured cocktails, craft and local beer. This alfresco dining venue is the ideal spot to enjoy a meal or simply cocktails with friends and loved ones, while contemplating the waves, surfers and sometimes the whales. These delicious bites can be enjoyed at the restaurant under a natural canopy of more than 40 fully-grown coconut palms or can be packaged in a beach-friendly to-go kit.
We came here upon arrival and awaiting our room at Ritz Carton. They have incredible shakes!!! They will also make them "adult" for an up charge but I'd recommend having without as it wasn't as good with. The burgers and pork sandwich were both okay but certainly not worth the $20-30 cost. We ordered with chips but it came with sweet potato fries. Asked the waiter for chips and never came. The view of the bay is gorgeous and can be chilly. We came back for shakes a second time but didn't not order food.

If you stay at the Montage, chances are that you will eat at their main in-house place.
Their breakfast menu was very good with both heathy and crazy items.
We ate dinner twice at Cane and Canoe and it was very good both times. Very good fish dishes. Goog local ingredients.
