We serve an eclectic mix of American and some European dishes and specials that strike our taste buds as well as comfort foods, homemade soups and a wide variety of fresh and creative salads. Our desserts include our renowned coconut almond cream pie as well as apple, pear & fig crisp and crème brulee. A full bar is available and we carry local Granite Roots beers as well. Catering for events large and small is also offered.
I have visited Sunflower cafe twice now for lunch and each time been impressed. When you initially walk in it is clear it is no frills. Very simple decor ,this time there were wintergreen sprigs rooting in vases on the table. Nice touch. We were immediately greeted and sat, provided a never empty water glass and a menu. The menu was varied. Lots of salads, tasty vegetarian items and yes, a variety of burgers.. plus quiche, and crab cakes... and more. Our waitress was very attentive( and busy) Our meals arrived quickly and were hot. My friend had the crab cakes, which were made on site,I had the quiche which came with fresh fruit and I had a salad added. We were both please with our meals. On the prior visit I had ordered a vegetarian entree and alas required it be gluten free. They were able to accommodate me with no effort. Which is always nice.
Another bonus was that they did not rush you thru the meal or after, I would definitely return again and I have already started recommending it to others!

When Kimball Farm opens for the season in early spring it's cause for celebration. A great selection of ice cream flavours, huge portions keep people coming back all summer long. Also a great selection of seafood and burgers. The fried whole belly clams are amazing.

While up in Rindge, visiting with family we wanted to grab a bit to eat. Reviewing TA for the area, Hometown Diner came up on the list. We arrived for dinner around 5:00PM on Saturday and found a table in the back. The diner is styled to look old on the outside, but is a newer restaurant. Inside the typical round stools lined a bar dividing the place in half, with booths along the outside wall and windows facing the parking lot. The booths were filled, but a server told us to go around the corner where 4-5 tables were and we sat. Service was quick and pleasant, noting they have beer, wine and certain drinks or the usual soda's and such. Two menus were presented, one regular and one of specials. We all opted for seafood, in choosing: stuffed haddock, haddock basket and shrimp basket. We all thoroughly enjoyed or dishes, noting they were lightly breaded, seasoned nicely, fresh tasting and best of all not greasy. Having half french fries and half onion rings was no challenge either. Our server came by often enough to check on us, without being in the way. Very local, casual and nice place. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again and actually look forward to it and hope to make it for breakfast!

Sigh. The dunkins in Peterbrough are so much better. I avoid this place unless I have to stop and go in and get donuts for my family. You have to go in to pick out u our dounts. You can't pick out dounts In the drive through. Also they couldn't give or even sell a cup of iced tap water.

We were excited to eat here but found the food to be hit and miss: some things were terrific and we actually had to send one dish back. For appetizers, the Flounder Frito was excellent but the Quattro Formaggio Crab Dip was plain, boring and none us could actually taste the crab (two of us thought maybe we could taste something remotely "fishy"). Dinners were good and bad: on the plus side the Chili-Sumac Crusted Salmon was perfect--I could eat it every day for the rest of my life--it was fabulous. The Pan-Seared Rainbow Trout was really good, too. The Smoky Chicken and Bacon Carbonara was good, but certainly nothing great--we've had better similar dishes in many other places. And lastly, the Shrimp Puttanesca was just boring, underseasoned and flavorless--after a few bites we sent it back, uneaten. So there you have it--if you are lucky enough to pick a dish that appeals to you, you will have an amazingly wonderful meal, if not you may be bored and disappointed.

Apart from the wonderful food choices this is also a great shop with produce and kitchen supplies etc. However the lunch offerings were so good. Super fresh salads, homemade style soups, wraps, juices and so much more. Great value and delicious nourishing food. Excellent espresso coffee as well.

This was our first experience here, but it will not be our last. We had a number of excellent choices on menu which were supplemented by a separate list of specials. The ambiance was enhanced by live keyboard and vocal music which we enjoyed during dinner. My wife had salmon from the menu and I had swordfish which was listed on their "Special" supplement. Both were delicious. We ate in the restaurant adjacent to the Pub

They have a great variety of individual candies from the past and they make their own fudge and cupcakes but after several visits, they broke the bank on both and their products are only average so no go no more!
