Although much of Jacksonville is urban, this sprawling northeastern Florida city also has nature and wildlife preserves, historic residential neighborhoods and lots of golf courses. Attractions in Jax, as the locals call it, range from art, science and history museums to a brewery tour, from the Jacksonville Landing entertainment complex, along the St. John's River, to Bronson Motor Speedway. The city's beaches offer soft sand and warm water perfect for swimming, surfing and kayaking.

Terra Gaúcha Brazilian Steakhouse is an authentic southern Brazilian style steak house "Churrascaria" in Portuguese. The menu offers a variety of fire roasted cuts of premium beef, lamb, chicken and pork served continuously to your table. To complement the table side service of meats, guests enjoy from a fresh gourmet salad bar and a hot bar with authentic traditional hot dishes.
if you have not been here i strongly suggest you give this dining experience a try. it has one of the best salad bars i have encountered and the meats are done to perfection. The attention given by the staff to make your dining experience a memorable one exceptional.

You have to try the Bam Yo Yo and The Raphie Deluxe. Maple Street has long lines during peak hours but its worth the wait.

We have been to this Metro Diner several times and it never fails to impress! The portions are more than generous and the menu offers an excellent variety of breakfast items. I would highly recommend it to those in this area.

Oh my, I enjoyed my dinner at restaurant. The menu consist of a variety of well seasoned southern cooked food ( fried chicken, fried catfish and shrimp, smothered pork chops, oxtails, gizzards, liver, macaroni cheese, cornbread dressing, yellow rice, brown gravy, peas, green, sweet potato pie, red velvet cake bread pudding and more......) I ordered the succulent oxtails, yellow rice, macaroni cheese, peas with cornbread. The servings are large and the cost is reasonable. Nice and clean environment. Pleasant staff! I highly recommend you dining at this soul food bristro.

This restaurant is not inexpensive, but, the quality of the food is exceptional.

Based on positive TA reviews, my wife & I had dinner @ Biscottis on a Saturday night after we checked in to our nearby B&B. The Avondale main business district along St. Johns Avenue is packed with bars & restaurants & specialty shops, so the curbside public parking fills up quickly & street spots in the surrounding neighborhoods are just as coveted by visitors and residents. We ended up circling several blocks around the restaurant before finding a parking spot a few blocks west in front of a gift shop that had just closed. The search & subsequent walk was worth it.
Biscottis has some sidewalk seating, but most tables are inside. The interior has high ceilings & minimal wall decorations. Tables & chairs are simple in form & construction, giving the restaurant a modern feel. Waiting for a table to open up can get complicated with the small space available to stand by the entry door, but it does give you an opportunity to check out the fresh desserts in the bakery case up front. After a couple of minutes we were seated near the open kitchen area, and served by Elyse who was attentive & friendly.
My wife ordered a special dinner pasta dish, a pumpkin lasagna that was very unusual but tasty. I had their Mandarin Salad with very large portions of smoked Turkey, mandarin oranges, almonds & red onion, topped with a flavorful raspberry vinaigrette. Neither of us had room left for dessert, but the selections sure did look good & were obviously popular with patrons dining in and carrying out. We were very satisfied with our meals & with the table service, and we'd definitely return to Biscottis if we were ever in Jacksonville again.

Truly outstanding Pulled Pork, Ribs and Brisket. The consistency, flavor and the dry rub used was superb. My only complaint was that the sauces were mediocre at best. The taste of the BBQ was so good, however, that the dinner was excellent without sauce. The collard greens were excellent as was the mac n' cheese. Once they improve the sauces, The Bearded Pig will be world-class.

Beanie was our server, who was fantastic! She was super friendly and kept checking on us while our pizza cooked (deep dish takes 30 min or more depending on how busy they are). Pizza was excellent and suuuuper cheesy! Yumm! We will be back for sure!
