Ed's drive in is a classic short order take out and ice cream drive in. This is a favorite spot for locals for decades and for travelers' on highway 43. It is known throughout area. Delicious food, from onion rings to ice cream.

Parking lot fixed. Building remodeled, sunroom enclosed. Menu changed up. Fish sandwich better than McDonalds, KC BBQ was good but who needs raw onions on BBQ? Plastic cups for shakes no longer have gaping hole on top, much less messy.

Been here many times while passing through for work. Arguably the best food in town even though that ain't saying much,, but why not settle for the best available. I usually get med-rare ribeye with a cajun stuffed baked potato and salad. Great food, homemade salad dressings and steaks are nice. Nice indoor and outdoor bars for entertainment too!

I grew up in Jackson many years ago and have been back many times since but only within the last several years has alcohol been allowed to be served within the city. It was really fun to be able to go into a fun little spot in town and be able to have a beer or cocktail with your meal. My one and only time in The Fat Cow was a late night stop - actually right at closing time - and I was welcomed in and told that I could order anything on the menu that I wanted. Having been in the food business before and understanding the need to prepare to close, I went with the simplest thing on the menu - the BBQ Nachos and a Tito's & Soda. The nachos were a mountain of BBQ, nacho chips, and trimmings and the drink was a generous pour served in my favorite glass - a red Solo cup! I stayed well past closing time and was able to meet the owner and staff and enjoy my meal at a comfortable pace. I look forward to my return trip and making it a little earlier in the evening to enjoy a "real" meal with Ashley and the gang! If a laid-back atmosphere, good food, good drinks, and good company are to your liking you should make time to stop in at The Fat Cow!

Was in town on family business and needed to grab a bite on a Saturday evening after 9pm. Clerk at the Hotel recommended this spot. It's right downtown Jackson , with convenient parking. Overall , i wanted to like this place. Tried to like this place. My food was pretty good as was my wife's. The interior appears to be split into the 'dance' side, and the food side, with a bar in the center. I'm sure for lunch or an early evening dinner, would have been much better. Problem is, around 10pm, they cranked the music up so damned high it was too loud in the ENTIRE place; you couldn't find an area you could even have a conversation in. This isn't advertised as a Dance Club, it's a restaurant, hence my pointing all this out.

Small menu, food is good but overpriced and slow to arrive. Waitress asked if we need anything. Ice. Five minutes later she is sitting with friends, no ice.
Women's bathroom has torn paper on wall with odd instructions on tricky method used to flush toilet. Water leaking around base.
Their business week starts Thursday evening so call ahead.

Beside the Pizza Hut, you might drive by this narrow lot. We have been getting takeout here for years. Try some Cajun rice.

Look behind the Shell station if you're on US 43. Good breakfast business, line moves right along. Average sized parking lot.

I enjoy it every time I go here. Good chips and salsa and hearty portions. Nice margaritas and all at a reasonable price. 4 of us ate for $50 including drinks and tip.

when you look from the front looks like an average Subway. But when you walk in you see a very spacious area with plenty of room to sit and enjoy your meal.
