The first time I went here, I had the catfish plate. It was quite good, but I sampled my husband's rib plate, and there's been no looking back--it's been the rib plate for me ever since. In all fairness, there are any number of other things you can choose from, but I think they serve the best ribs in the metro area.
You can use the drive through or place your order inside at the counter. You are speedily served with your meal in a styrofoam container. It's very casual, obviously, and there are tables inside or you can sit outside. I've never been here when they weren't doing a very brisk business both inside and with the drive through, but you will get your order quickly.
Unless your idea of going out to eat is a place with soft background music and white tablecloths, you should check out the Frisco Deli without delay.

excellent food and service. Go early to avoid the noise. Well varied menu with excellent seafood choices. Their nightly specials are great and you can always depend on the quality of their food. Would never hesitate to take a guest there for lunch or dinner. Only place in town I can occasionally get sweetbreads.

We had a great dinner here. Food was lightning fast even though it was crowded, service was prompt and helpful, and I loved the thin, crispy catfish. The gumbo was also good. Would love to return. Wish they had a longer beer list, though.

The staff handled our large party with finesse. From local beers on tap to appetizers to entrees to desserts, everything was wonderful. The children in our party were happy with their choices and all of the adults enjoyed their selections. Needless to say, most of the desserts were shared as we were at capacity from the good sized entree servings. It would be difficult to single out one dish as the best of the best. I hope to return at a later date to try more menu items.

We got there shortly after 11 and I'm glad we did because it got packed with customers by 11:30ish. Very tasty food, decent prices, and the girl helping us at the front counter was very friendly. Two thumbs way up on service, selection, prices, and for some awesome t-shirts because who doesn't need a Pig & Pint tshirt?

We stopped in before checking in at local hotel with a craving for sushi and big appetites. Kids loved the mac and cheese, pizza, and deserts. Wife and I enjoyed the sushi and Chinese selection. Plenty to choose from also if you leave hungry still it's your fault :) staff was all nice and facilities clean. Buffett was arranged very neatly and clean as well.

I eat at Char about once a month, and only because my sister loves the food. We both have the same complaint. You never know whether the waitstaff is going to be nice and normal or a snot. I know that’s strong language but it’s true. I’ve been there no less than 100 times and each visit it’s like rolling dice on what type experience you will have. I’ve come to believe your service is tied to what you do and don’t order. Three days ago I came in for supper and ordered crab claws, a house salad and sweet tea with lemon. I sucked ice for 10 minutes trying to get our waiter’s attention. Finally hailed him down, told him I’d been without anything to drink for 10 minutes. No apology, said he’d get me something, and for the next five minutes he took tables their checks, brought out food and cleared off a table. When he began to clean the table next to me I told him I’d been waiting 15 minutes for something to drink and that the table could wait. He tried to engage me in a debate about how long I had actually waited. Snot. I hate going to Char for that very reason; but yes, I’ll be back.....only because my sister loves their food and I love my sister. Wish he were the lone “bad apple” or just someone “having a bad night”. He’s not, he wasn’t.

Our ladies 8 member group planned a Saturday staycation, which included spa treatments and dinner later. The Parlor Market was our choice for dinner.
The food was delicious! However, for the portion sizes, it was quite expensive . The service was slow and took much too long to receive our food. We had to flag our waitress down (who never checked on us) to get drink/water refills. My meal consisted of the shrimp appetizer, oyster salad and water. Both were very tasty! My tab, with gratuity, totaled $37.00. You would think that after paying that amount, I should have been full. Not!
The appetizer consisted of 3 large shrimp. The oyster salad had 3 small oysters. The portions were really small.
By the way, my girlfriends' tabs were much higher than mine. We left disappointed and hungry!!!

Our chefs take great pride in developing their menu from scratch. Much of the day is spent freshly preparing elements of the meal including stocks, sauces, and dressings. Our steaks are hand cut daily. The fish are hand selected. The produce is supplied by local farmers. These steps taken by our chefs ensure that each dish arriving at your table represents the pride they take in their preparation and the ingredients they've selected. We hope it is clear to you, our guest, that one of our main goals is to provide quality food that you enjoy. Another goal is to support the local economy. It is very important to us to support the local purveyors of Mississippi. When you visit The Iron Horse Grill you not only support a hometown restaurant hut also local Mississippi produce and products. From the Water Valley grits to the fresh gulf shrimp from Biloxi the Iron Horse dining experience reaches far beyond our front door. We are committed to supporting local vendors and sharing the very best that Mississippi has to offer.
COPY OF FB REVIEW:
I’ve been a patron at Iron Horse multiple times the last few years. Tonight’s frontline service was horribly rude, childish and vindictive. As usual, the restaurant was very busy for a weekend night. A female hostess (black, very short natural hair) and female beverage manager (white, dirty blond) were incredibly short, sarcastic and seemed to be getting some kind of authoritative rush from being rude to me. Knowing the routine and having made it known that we, my party, understood that all persons had to be present prior to being seated, seemed to make no difference to he beverage manager. We were told we’d be seated in a few minutes; however, it was more like 40 minutes. Like I said, we understood so we waited. I approached the beverage manager and told her that we were patiently waiting but just wondering about how long the wait would be. This unprofessional, short-tempered individual responded by talking to me like I was a 10 y/o with a comprehension problem. She asked was anyone else coming and I let her know that I wasn’t concerned about anyone else coming, only the people that were present (as we were wanting to be seated as soon as possible). She explained and I verified that I understood if anyone else came they would have to sit in another area. That was perfectly fine with me and my party. I even told her IF anyone else came, myself and a few others would give up those seats and sit at the bar. I feel she made us wait longer and my party heard her talking about us in her unjustified, unprofessional frustration. To make a long story shorter, EVERY interaction I had her went the same way. She glared at me, chastised me and spoke to me like I was stupid. I don’t know what she had going on but she horribly failed at controlling her emotions. I never justify that type of behavior. The final interaction I had with her when was we were finally being seated. 3 more people walked in. I didn’t even know they were there. When I saw this, I was already preparing to take myself and a few others to the bar as we knew no other seats or tables would be added. By the way, we were there for both of my parents’ birthdays. I only cared that their guests were seated together, not me and my friends. This lady used her fingers to talk to me and said, “WE’VE ALREADY TALKED ABOUT THIS AND I TOLD YOU...”. At this point I’d had enough of her. I CALMLY told her that she did not need to talk to me like and she had been rude the entire time I had to deal with her. My friend standing next to me told her she was rude and that she didn’t need to work with people having such a bad attitude. She called security to have her removed, creating a scene. This lady made it her mission to come upstairs and make something out of nothing, vs staying downstairs and helping coordinate seating for others. My friend and her husband, who’d just driven in from Texas, left from the area. They were fortunate to have spoken with the general manager, who did listen to our/their account of everything that occurred. My friend and her husband returned after this conversation. I can definitely say tonight was enough for the group to collectively say we would not return-which is unfortunate. I would’ve given the lowest rating but everyone else, except the up front hostess, were very nice and helpful. The food was great and my parents, family and friends enjoyed themselves. Having worked in a similar service industry, I hope the establishment takes claims, complaints and concerns like this seriously.

Babalu Tacos & Tapas is a lively restaurant that uses fresh and local ingredients to create bold flavors. You will find a variety of authentic gourmet tacos and Spanish-style tapas with a Southern twist. Every item on the menu, down to the blue corn tortilla, is made from scratch daily - our famous guacamole is prepared tableside. Our bar carries the finest tequilas, and all drinks are handcrafted daily using fresh squeezed lemons and limes.
The service was ok. The food wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. Don’t think we will be going back.
