This place was great and so close to home! Hubby ordered a large strawberry shake and I had a banana split sundae. Both were so good! Customer service was great too. I would give this 5 stars but they don't take cards just cash!

Our Story: Our spot right off the highway here in Inwood has been a place for wholesome, local food for a long time. This site was originally developed in the early 1920s to promote cooperation among local farmers at a time when the South Berkeley apple rush was proving that prosperity required more than just luck. $100,000 was secured from the government to be used to erect a horticultural school in Inwood. A school might not sound like much of a benefit to struggling orchardists; however, with the funds, a fruit packing plant was built and a school was also conducted inside the packing house. The one-of-a-kind school taught local farmers how to grow fruit profitably. The facility led to a successful fruit grower’s cooperative and helped many apple producers save money on packing fruit before shipping it to market on the railroad. On a cold January evening in 1955, the building ignited in flames. Then believed to have been the biggest rural fire in the county’s history, it caused incredible damage. In time, the facility was rebuilt and later became the Inwood Farmer’s Market operated by the West Virginia Department of Agriculture. In 2014, Robert & Ryan Taylor took over operation of the farm market realizing an old dream of bringing their locally picked fruits direct to the community. Life-long residents of Berkeley County, the father and son team behind Taylor’s Farm Market farm over 1,350 acres of row crops, orchards, and vegetable gardens and also operate a water hauling business for swimming pools. The current building allows more than ample space to share the freshest produce, wines, dairy, meat, handmade crafts, and bakery items that West Virginia proudly produces. Where some saw empty warehouse space inside the farm market facility, the Taylor’s saw opportunity to enhance the community. In 2016, the Cider Press Deli & Grill was born with a mission to be a great family place in Inwood serving fresh food, hand-crafted in our kitchen featuring seasonal market ingredients from local farms when available and serving local craft beers and wine. Amidst the rustic and relaxing atmosphere, the Cider Press Deli & Grill, led by chef Sean Cox, he offers amazing house made specialties including sandwiches, salads, soups, local hand-pattied burgers, Black Dog coffee, heavenly desserts & so much more! Thanks for taking time to visit our spot!

A local favorite located in a strip mall. Really an expanded pizza place. Great pasta/fish
Took son (from Brooklyn) to King's for a Sunday dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the Flounder Francese, Chicken Parm and the Cheese Tortellini w/ meat sauce . Son tried all the dinners and commented on the taste compared to his Brooklyn neighborhood. He was impressed ! No need to say more ... good food, good menu, good service, good pricing.

We are new to the area, and have been in search of a great Mexican Restaurant. Previous restaurants were nothing compared to ElPaso in Calcutta OH. Viva Mexico meets and maybe surpasses! (We'll need to test more dishes )
Our meals were delicious, the staff friendly and efficient, and building beautiful. We will be back many times.

One outa sight place to eat. Fresh homemade family run Resturant. Doesn't look like much because they spend all their money on making the best food ever. Did I say homemade? Family recipes passed down for all baked goods. Yeast rolls, biscuits, cakes, pies ohlala.

I like the consistency of the fare. Wherever you find a Waffle House, the cost and the menu are great! Parking is a little limited but overall it represents great breakfast food and variety at fair prices.

Friends recommended we try Gus's so we stopped in. My Wife had the steak and I had the 1/2lb burger. Both were cooked exactly as ordered and were delicious. Since then we have also had the wings, 1/2lb BLT and pulled pork. All were top notch and come with baked potato, fresh cut fries, cole slaw or baked beans. For a great meal stop in Gus's. 21 and over only.

Unfortunately, we arrived when an unruly group of children arrived with their parents who did absolutely nothing to control them. We should have walked out because the over 35 minute wait for the thin crust pizza we ordered was NOT worth the wait at all. The ends of the pizza crust was dry and the pizza mediocre. The owner was gone and the adolescent staff struggled to cook and serve the food. Our high school aged waitress apologized for the long wait but we decided to give the place a try. We will NOT be returning to the Pizza Oven.

I can't believe that I am even writing this review for this place. But very disappointed in their customer service for the first time. My husband, family and I have ordered carry out from here for many years and normally the food is ok and normally no problems - but for the first time - I get home with my carry out and I just had to call them out on it. I ordered the combination platter of beef and broccoli....which I have done many times before and can't say it was bad - but this time I get it home and they should have just called it broccoli and sauce. It was just about all broccoli and a few pieces of beef. Now I normally don't ever call - just suck it up and eat it - but this time I called. I did speak with the young girl that takes the order and of course she didn't cook it - she apologized and told me hold so she could talk to the owner and she said to bring it back and she would make another one - well all fine and good - but I was already back home and its freezing cold out and sure don't want to drive 10 miles back out to get another one - while my husbands then has to be re-heated. I said so thanks - forget it. I figured well - would she offer me a free one the next time - she knows we frequent this place often - at least twice a month - if not more - nope - too bad - if I wanted it replaced - I would have to drive all the way back out - bring this one back and get another one - well no thank you - the girl on the phone apologized and said the owner would not get on the phone and didn't offer me anything else but that - didn't offer to take my name. I told the young girl - oh well - they just lost a customer - that's too bad for them. I will not - will not - go back. Nothing worse then bad customer service.
