Came to the area for my birthday weekend. For lunch we went to #1 TripAdvisor choice in Fredericksburg. For dinner we chose the #1 choice in Kerrville.
First impression was marvelous and after being seated outside that wasn’t diminished one bit. The lights in the trees only added to the atmosphere. Service was nice too.
Food was good but not “fine dining” and was the reason for my 4 stars.
Nothing to complain about and we were so pleased with the place and the people that I would still recommend.

The french fries were the best part of an otherwise average lunch. We added grilled chicken to a large salad that was overpowered by a raspberry vinaigrette. It's a pleasant enough place, but a bit overpriced for what you get.

1011 Bistro, located right in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, has the most spectacular view of the Guadalupe River. You will find something in our menu for a special occasion, family gathering or just kicking back in our upstairs terrace. Our friendly staff will make your visit a special one. We're also open for lunch!
The food, the service, and the atmosphere were absolutely fantastic! My wife and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary by dining at 1011 Bistro in Kerrville, TX. For an appetizer we enjoyed Mozzarella Burrata (baby san marzano tomatoes with balsamic reduction, extra virgin olive oil, basil salt, and toasted baguettes). For the main course we feasted on the Lamb Rack (New Zealand lamb, minted yogurt sauce, parmesan risotto cakes, and grilled tomatoes) and Seafood Pasta (hand-rolled fettuccini, crab meat, gulf shrimp, mussels, garlic cream sauce). Our server Scott was awesome! He was extremely polite and took great care of us! We hope to go back again soon!

That sausage cheese kolache is hands down one of THE very BEST I've ever had. Holy cow, I want the whole tray of them. I still can't over it. The dough, the sausage, the cheese!!!!! Super dang delicious. The donuts are very good, the apple fritter was delicious. That kolache blew me away though!!!!

On a recommendation from friends we stopped in for an early dinner. A pinot grigio for SWMBO and an Axis IPA for yours truly started off the meal. Our server, Caitlin, was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They had a complimentary appetizer of freshly made chips with a Blue Cheese dip which was very good. We both ordered the Meatloaf, which was presented quite differently but was a good blend of textures and taste. An enjoyable visit.

Was on the road this morning and needed a good breakfast. Had been to the Hunter House some years ago, so figured it was time for a return visit.
The place is fairly small with somewhat limited seating and limited parking. However, I had no trouble when I arrived (about 0830) being seated immediately. I ordered the Spanish Omelet with hash browns and biscuit. The omelet, while tasty, was not the best I've had but certainly not the worst for a far shot. The hash browns were toasty on the exterior with a soft interior--just right. The biscuit was fine but nothing spectacular. But at $7.95 it was what I wanted, a good breakfast at a decent price. Service was down-home friendly and very responsive to my needs--my coffee cup never got past half-full before it was filled.
As an aside, the table next to me had some very nice pancakes and they were kind enough to share a bite with me. Very nice--fluffy but with a bit of heft to them. Will definitely order them should I return.

First thing you need to know - THEY DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS HERE! Bring cash or a Debit Card. That's why they get four 'stars' and not five. It is 2017. Give me a break. Take credit cards and charge people 3% more for the food if you must. I mean...seriously; if a place is going to hit you up for $10 to give you a burger, fries and a coke, they can 'afford' to take credit cards.
Okay, that out of the way, the french fries here are awesome! I love them. They are now my favorite fries. Crunchy on the outside and soft and potato-y on the inside. Perfect.
The burgers are thick and juicy and made from 'real' meat you can actually taste, so that is a winner, too. My Mom raved about the burgers. She LOVED them. I liked them well enough. So if you are 'old school', perhaps you will LOVE them, too.

Our first ever visit to Billy Gene's this Sunday afternoon was a pleasant surprise. Not only was my peppered steak, grilled vegetables and pasta salad excellent, my wife said her serratchi checken, okra and potato was too. To top it off, I looked up to see a familiar face walk in the front door. Oscar nominee ("Sideways") Thomas Haden Church and his girlfriend (they are regulars according to the servers) enjoyed a meal. He was very kind and even took the time to chat and give me an autograph while he waited for his girlfriend in the restroom.

The sandwiches and pastries at this little coffee shop are exceptional. Everything is fresh and made to order.

"..a gem of a restaurant off the city’s main street. It has a wine store, a large bar with about 20 (craft)beers on tap, and a restaurant, where you can eat(locally sourced) antelope sliders or quail tacos.” –Texas Monthly
If you are looking for a patio and quiet, I recommend this place. The menu is eclectic and delicious! We tried the fish and pork tacos, both did not disappoint. The creamed jalapeño corn was also delicious. Our waiter Travis was attentive and very personable! He was even able to help us plan a hike and where to find the starting point for a local bike ride. Would definitely eat here again. Oh and the beer selection was fabulous and in Kerrville you can get it to go as sidewalk drinking is ok!
