Slightly upscale location where jeans are as welcome as business suits. Classy without being pretentious. Typically high service standards. Steaks, sandwiches, salmon dishes, etc. Bread with flavored butters. Highly recommended options from locals include catfish entrees with cheesecake desserts. Parking on site.

At Waller's, we think the most fun is had on the waterfront. Offering the most unique dining experience the lake has to offer, we use all-natural, farm-to-table ingredients to serve seafood, burgers, BBQ, and more. Grab some drinks with friends, or bring the kids for some good food and a game of ping pong. We take pride in our work, and we're all about making sure you enjoy every second spent with us. Stop on by and get ready for some fun and culinary delights!
We enjoyed a nice afternoon at Wallers. Service much better than a previous visit, but here it's Lake-time so sit back, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. We had delicious cocktails and beer with tasty nachos and wings. So nice to see the owner and (presumed) manager making the rounds to check in on customers satisfaction.
Loved the tiki bar feel with acoustic music playing outback. Out front visitors can play corn-hole.
Looking forward to our next trip to Wallers!

We were here for dinner on a Friday night as we were waiting to pick up our rental boat. Servers were very friendly... Seated us right away. They serve beer and wine only. Menu was good... I had fish and chips and kids had burgers. Rueben was good. Fried calamari was surprisingly perfectly cooked. This restaurant is conveniently located. They also have package goods for sale. Live 2 man band was great.

Four very pleased adults. Had reservations thank goodness, very busy. All enjoyed our meals, including appetizers, could not fit desert. salad bar fresh, needs to be better laid out for access. Service was top notch, food excellent, our table had ribs, tilapia stuffed with crab, crab cakes, shrimp on the grill, all super good.

Altavista's #1 restaurant and destination dining experience in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
I stopped here while doing some business outside Altavista. I saw it while driving down the road. I felt everything was average. I purchased a salami, cheese, and tomato sandwich with a bag of chips and ice tea. You place your order and they buzz you when it is ready, so there is no waitress. The atmosphere is OK, tables placed in front of a window looking out at Main Street.

We stopped in here for an ice cream cone after dinner. The ice cream is good quality. You can get sprinkles added. I had mine on a sugar cone. The ice cream shop is connected to the pizza place behind it. I haven't tried it...MoreThanks for the review KNCASS, You should try the pizza place out sometime!

Heath's Waterfront Grill is located on Smith Mountain Lake in Huddleston, VA. We are conveniently located at The Pointe in Mariner's Landing and we are accessible by land and water. We offer a variety of food selections from a fresh catch of seafood to a hand patted burger or even try our juicy filet! The best thing about our food is that it comes with a phenomenal view of the lake. There's not a seat in the dining room that doesn't offer a view of the water. We truly are a family run business that is focused on forming relationships with our customers and watching them leave with a smile on their face.
Better food than I expected. Our crew of 7 had burgers, chicken alfredo, steamed shrimp, fish and chips and the pretzel/pub cheese appetizer. Fries & onion rings were standard frozen fare, but overall we were happy with everything else. Pretzels were really salty, but very good with the beer pub cheese. Service was friendly and attentive. We'd return.

When we were hiking near the Blue Ridge Parkway, we by chanche discovered this great little sandwich shop, located in an old Victorian house. The atmosphere is lovely and all the sandwiches, we have tried, have been delicious. Also the sides, that comes with the sandwiches, have been yummy. We have been there three times now, so we have tried many. They all have funny names, which make you smile. We have dogs, so we enjoyed sitting outside on the porch. They also serve great coffee and cappuccinos. Service very nice. Highly recommend this place when visiting Bedford.

Went their today for my lunch break after hearing great things about this place and I must say It was the truth, I ordered the mini pepperoni pizza and mini cheese sticks and they were cooked to perfection with real homemade ingredients and it gets even better when I walked inside to see the cool posters of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and even had a classic Jaws movie poster bringing back classic memories and classic entertainment I was extremely impressed with both the tasty food and environment and I will definitely be back that's for sure.
