This restaurant is in the center of the small, pleasant town of Hubbard. The food is excellent, with fresh ingredients. They have Mexican beer on tap, a plus for beer lovers.

This is ice cream as it should be- thick, delicious, cold and absolutely yummy. Rum raisin, whitehouse, butter pecan and even a few sherbets too. The dips are really generous and, if you are thinking of getting 2 scoops, you had better be very hungry!! A scoop is 2.50 but well worth the price!

Our family of three decided to eat here while we were in the area for the bowling tournament. We choice the pizza with pineapple. The service was slow especially when the place was about empty, (we were there at an off time). The pizza was just ok. We also ordered a side salad, which was fairly large and it was good. We will look for a different place next time we're in the area.

Just came back from Hubbard DQ. Ordered a peanut buster parf. with a coupon to get one for .99 cents. Asked for pecans instead of peanuts and was told ok for a slight "up charge". Was told the price was 6.46. When I got to the pickup window was charged 7.79. I asked about the "up charge" and was told it was .79 cents for each. I said it still didn't seam right and asked to see the receipt. As I pulled away I saw that it was the wrong order. I pulled around again and told them it was the wrong receipt and they found the right one but insisted the only charged me 6.46. I said no you charged me 7.79.They did not agree and I said forget it. Next time I'll go the the West Middlesex DQ.

This is a small hole in the wall that you would normally pass up, but it is well worth the stop. They have good Italian food, and good pizza. My only complaint is that they only have a couple of sizes for the pizza, so it is difficult to get a full pizza if you are eating by yourself.

Pizza Works has been in Hubbard for nearly forty years. Perhaps that is why the product is very good and the service is excellent. I have eaten in the clean and friendly restaurant and picked up food at the drive in. The menu is diverse featuring pizza, salad, calazones and trimmings. It is a value for traveler and family alike.

I went to this restaurant and was very unhappy the food was ok but the portions did not equal the cost when the waitress asked how was it I replied that and she just walked away then she went over to a couple and bent down and whispered to the women well when I went to pay the bill I asked for the manager and it was the woman she had been whispering to so she compleytely stood up for the waitress and insulted me by saying I dont get out much well I eat out alot and if your going to charge 8 bucks for a sandwich then give me the equal in product then she told me I should be happy I got that much for a sandwich I will not go there again and this manager was not a very good one but it was friday during the day dont waste your time and hard working money

You will never want to visit a sub sandwich chain again. The bread and ingredients are all fresh and the staff was friendly. I love the city sampler which lets you try 4 different sandwiches. The final salad sandwich was ginormous! Great place to stop for lunch.

I can't rant and rave about the food but it was close and convenient to where I was staying. I'm not saying that it was bad but it was as good as to be expected.

Surprised to find a Waffle House this far north from Atlanta, GA but someone here knows about good grits. Visited this location of the popular chain one Sunday morning which is prime time for Waffle House. Was with a party of five, we did have to wait for about 5 minutes but the staff cleared the table promptly and got our drinks in a timely manner. Waffle Houses were started in the mid 50's coming out of the burgeoning Atlanta landscape and they are famous for their cheese eggs, grits, hashbrowns, waffles and coffee. They serve breakfast anytime and always have a fresh brewed pot of coffee waiting for your taste buds. This Waffle House had plenty of help on duty and they were very friendly and efficient, the meal arrived in a timely manner and follow up every five minutes or so was appreciated. This was one of the better ones I have dined at and they had their act together, at least for a Sunday morning. You just can't beat a pecan waffle, sausage patties and a hot cup of java, and the best grits in Ohio. Glad we stopped a surprise so far away from the south.
I've eaten at a few waffle houses over the last couple of years. Some were better than others. This one proved highly educational.
Now I can't eat at waffle houses any longer. It's politically impossible.
We sat at the counter, I had an omelet my wife had a pork chop platter. The food was pretty decent. The place was clean. The staff, well three of them were fine. Our server and her co worker friend were the problem.
First, I was there on an evening when this waffle house co worker happened to be there on her first day back from vacation. Everyone was chatterboxing, catching up on the week that was. I had to ask twice for the gravy I had ordered to be put on my hash browns, the second time handing the plate to the cook.
The vacation returnee was the center of all attention. She had apparently gotten a new tatoo. On her inner thigh. As she sat at the counter, this tatoo and how much it had hurt was the subject of intense discussion. It was proudly displayed several times, to the admiration of several of the waffle house staff. It hadnt quite completely healed yet. An open wound on display in a restaurant at the lunch counter. Charming.
It was here that I learned the first of several interesting facts which were imparted that evening.
Our server, a girl who looked all of 18, but who was apparently already married and who disliked her husband, commenting that she was "going to kill him with cholesterol over the next 30 years", casually mentioned that she had prepared for HER tatoo by going to a sex shop. There she had obtained a fairly powerful topical sensitivity reducing cream. This cream, which was "gross" according to our server is normally used during activity best described elsewhere. It goes by a name also not to be mentioned in this forum. Suffice it however to say she went into complete detail as my wife and I attempted to finish our meals.
Then everyone went outside for cigarettes, leaving a junior staff member in charge. She had been working at this location for exactly 4 days. She complained of her 3.85 an hour plus tips wage and the fact that waffle house deducted 4.00 per shift "food money" from her pay whether she ate at waffle house during her shift or not.
They take money from the servers pay. For food not necessarily eaten. I googled the concept and found it to be true.
I can't eat at waffle house anymore. That was simply too disgusting a concept to contemplate.
