At Little Mermaid, we handcraft our food daily, using the best in fresh local fish, meats, and produce. Our professional staff is extremely knowledgable about the ingredients, final preparation, wine and beer offerings.
We were in the mood for pizza after eating seafood for days and a local recommended this place. Wow! This is not your regular pizza! We ordered the Farm pizza, grilled chicken, goat cheese and spinach and it was excellent! As a bonus we watched a charter offload the days catch out the window and also had a great view of the Time Bandit crab fishing boat from Deadliest Catch!

We are a full scale restaurant, bakery and cafe located in beautiful Homer Alaska. Here you will find fresh, authentic, handmade bagels, schmears galore, and soups and sandwiches to satisfy any palate. Come on down and let our friendly staff spoil you!
I did have to hunt this location down but it was so worth the effort. I have had excellent bagels in Columbus, Ohio; Boston and Asheville, NC. The bagel in Homer ranked among the best. I had a plain bagel with a blueberry & peach schmear. I had intended to eat only half but after 2 or 3 bites I knew it was not meant to be. I'll be back!

Funky place in downtown Homer. It is just as all the write-ups say - a small house that has been converted into a restaurant. It is upscale for Homer with a nice selection of dishes. Many have interesting/unusual ingredients or flavors. Unique spins on dishes. I had the Salmon special and my wife had the North & South meal (scallops and shrimp). Both were very good. A little pricey but I think it was worth it for a special dinner. Will recommend this to friends for sure.

We stopped here for a dinner with a group that had a wide variety of tastes. Fat Olives met all of those requests! The food was very tasty! The service was great. The only heads up is that the calzone takes 20 minutes (or longer). It says so on the menu, but, just in case you don't have your reading glasses :)

If you have ever sat around the house and wondered how different spices, herbs and veggies would work on a Pizza, well this is your place. The pizzas are done in a fire oven and all seem to be an exclusive work of art. The service is outstanding and of course the location is on the end of the Spit. ( Us locals avoid going to the spit unless we have some sort of business there, but Finn's is well worth the drive. )

Casual quick service, Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner, Eat In or Take Out, Smoothies, Milkshakes, Fresh Juices, Beer & Wine, Family Friendly
A popular place with the locals, it serves excellent Mexican-type specials with a lot of seafood and local twists, homemade sauces, including pineapple, as well as chipotle. Hot or not. Well, there is an Hawaiian influence and an Irish chef, and you have to expect some wonderful surprises. It's a bustling place, right "downtown." Salads and burritos. There are many iterations of fresh halibut, including Wasabi. We would not visit Homer without a stop here, even if we had only one lunch to choose. The breakfasts also are phenomenal.

We don't claim to be the fanciest place in town but we believe in amazing food, fun specialty drinks, and great entertainment! We value our guests and believe in goodwill and hospitality. AJ's Oldtown Steakhouse & Tavern is located in the heart of Old Town, offers a casual, friendly atmosphere and is known locally as the "Historic Waterfront". AJ's is proud to be serving up the top 2% of USDA Prime Beef offered in the Nation and we like to top it off with a premium martini. We humbly feature mouth-watering steaks & great seafood including Local Alaska Scallops, King Crab, Fresh Halibut & Salmon in a friendly old town atmosphere! This venue also offers fun family entertainment & dinner music. Established in 1941 as the Homer Cafe and Club it was the first bar in Homer and has been serving up delicious fare and drinks for over 70 years
We went here twice during our recent visit, but it is a stop on every trip. I try not to eat beef, but I have succumbed to the steak and blue cheese salad more than once. It is perfectly done, medium rare. Everyone else seemed very happy with their choices as well, including cobb salad, seafood pasta and burgers. It's a little dark in atmosphere, but that makes it cozy. They have music a few nights a week, so if you don't like that, ask for a table away from the singer. But, that does offer the experience of local talent, which is huge. Service was excellent.

Oceanfront view on the Homer Spit. Lunch & Dinner specializing in local seafood.
Being end of season, choices of restaurants in Homer narrow significantly. This well-loved locals restaurant on the Spit was at least open for a few more weeks. Excellent seafood salad and fish sandwich, decent wine. Very engaging, friendly waitress, considering it was indeed the end of the season. This restaurant was well attended. The presentation of the food could use some attention to bump it up a notch. Maybe a panini bun instead of a regular old hamburger bun for the fish? Some extra trimming on the salad. But kudos to your halibut and your waitress, the nicest of our trip!

The Duncan House has long been a favorite spot for breakfast among Homer residents & visitors both... their menu features a large array of delicious dishes, reasonably priced + served by super friendly staff. Their home style, slow cooked oatmeal and egg benedicts are our favorites :)). This place can be quite busy on weekends, so arrive early... otherwise it’s really worth the wait to enjoy the low key ambiance and yummy food ... enjoy!
