This place was way out of our way, but I'm happy to report it was totally worth the trip! I had the pumpkin muffin (fluffy enough to be considered a cupcake) and would order without the sweet (but yummy!) frosting next time. The brownie was not only gf, but also df and it was unbelievably delicious! Hands down this is THE place to go if you need fresh gf baked goods in Chattanooga!

The food was quite tasty, prices were right and the wait staff was very friendly. The location on the bay and adjacent to the campground was appreciated. If ever in the area, I would consider going back.

I go here all the time. They have my mom's favorite buttercream frosting. Its super sweet. Very traditional. I also get my husband carrot cake from here which is his favorite. Lots of baked goods like gingerbread men, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and my favorite their petit fours. I love love love their petit fours.
I have ordered a couple things from them. I got my wedding cake from them and I ordered a large custom order of petit fours for a baby shower from them. No issues with ordering for events.
They have plenty of free parking. Highly recommend. No eating area.

A great place to hang out with friends. You can eat either outside or inside, and talk and laugh for hours. Not to mention, the ice cream and food itself is fairly inexpensive, so if you're looking for a quick dessert, specifically some tasty ice cream, Kay's Kastles is the place to go.

Cute decor. Pizzas already pre sliced on display so not sure why couple in front of me had to wait so long for their food. I ordered lasagna. Comes with a rather large salad with tons of onions, black olives, cucumber chunks, tomatoes and cheese. I sampled ranch and it was creamy and good. Lasagna is a pretty good sized portion with lots of layers of alternating noodles and sauce. Came with a large side of crunchy triangular shaped bread that was bland but soft in the middle. The lasagna was barely heated enough to melt the cheese and the inside was alsmot refrigerator cold. Considering I waited about 15 to 20 to get it this way as just unacceptable. It was also 30 degrees outside so warm food would have been better than nothing. I guess if they had closed the doors it would have been a tad warmer in back room? I personally did not like the lasagna and only took a few bites, it had a strong basil and oregano taste, not cheesy. I left the entire salad, took two bites of bread and few bites of lasagna and promptly left. It wasn't worth taking as a leftover and definitely not the 13.00 for lunch. The 6 tables that came in after me ordered pizza. I guess that is why this place is called pizza department because anything else apparently should be taken off the menu. Service was okay, I don't think the three females I came in contact with were too thrilled to have a job.

After a great vacation in FL, we were looking for something other than seafood on our way home, and this restaurant nailed it! Food was all delicious, the service prompt and friendly, and 2 adults, 2 teens, and 4 kids ate all we wanted for about $50! The nachos were better than the average Mexican restaurant.
It is a little bit of a hole in the wall restaurant - but if that doesn't deter you......the directions thru Trip Advisor misdirected us, so search for it directly in Google Maps. Enjoy!

Just got back from Puerto Rico and I didn't have any Yuca while I was visiting. Looked for something different while work in Hixson. Looked at the Fresh Pot Cafe listing on Trip Advisor and thought what the heck. The Yuca Frits was exceptional they boil the Yuca before frying, the way I like it. Had the Coconut Seafood it was excellent, the coconut sauce reminded me of Thai coconut curry, nothing spicy just the right taste of sweetness. Will definitely be back to try the Shrimp and Grits.

Great home cooking with a down home, laid back feeling. We have buffet style dinning from 11:00 to 8:00 Tues-Sat 11:00 to 3:00 Sun, closed on Monday. Lunch and Dinner prices 1/2 price for children under 12.
First visit here. We arrived as they were opening (11am). Buffet with a medium size salad bar and desert bar. I did not have a desert but what they had appeared to be a chocolate cake, banana pudding, and one or two other deserts. The buffet consisted of fried chicken, BBQ ribs, and fried fish. Also vegetables consisting of fried okra, variety of berms, corn, mac and cheese, etc. It was all very good. Friendly staff. PRICE - $22.00 for two adults. That is a great deal for an all you can eat buffet and two sodas. I will return.

We love this place so much, we've been twice since finally discovering it. It's my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Chattanooga area, hands down. The grilled steak nachos are out of this world! Our waiter was very friendly and took good care of our party of six. On our most recent visit, the floor was dirty with food and napkins, but it was also crowded, so I'm sure they got to it when they could.

Formosa is a well-known Chinese restaurant in suburban Chattanooga. Located in a rather non-descript shopping center, the interior atmosphere is clean and informal. Service is usually pretty good and the food plentiful and tasty. Prices are about what you would expect for a mid-level restaurant. I wouldn't drive from Knoxville to eat their food but if you have a hankerin' for Chinese, you can't go wong at Formosa. (a little humor there).
