I've always had at least one dinner here while staying at the Alpenhorn and it's always one of the highlights of my visit. All dishes are made from fresh ingredients and perfectly accented with herbs and spices. Kate and Adrian are very accommodating if you have special preferences or need to avoid certain foods. Although I've never seen a vegetarian or gluten-free meal I'm sure they've prepared them. Just ask.
Portions are just right- enough that you leave feeling well-fed but not overstuffed. My dinner was one that featured wines paired with each course. I loved the Spanish Grenache with the main course and the port (we had a choice of local or Portuguese) with the rich chocolate dessert. My favorite course was the savory cheesecake appetizer- the pesto (made from basil in their garden) accented it perfectly.
This is a perfect place for a special dinner on your trip to Hermann.

This is not your typical donut shop. Everything in here is yummy goodness. Yes, very yummy good. I had Snapple flaky tart with a sweet crumble topping. It had a great apple filling and not just gel and the cinnamon/sugar/crunchy topping was amazing. My hubby had the cinnamon crisp. She served it in a bag so you didn't lose any of the crispy almond goodness when you bit into it. They were selling donuts like crazy and their pastry bars looked unbelievable. This is real homemade good stuff.
Plus, there is a morning table of local ladies that are great fun to chat with. Such a great spot.

Our deli/restaurant is open 7 days a week with indoor and outdoor seating. Our menu showcases award-winning bratwurst, hickory-smoked pulled pork, deli meat sandwiches, housemade side dishes and much more. The menu changes often to offer you the freshest items possible. Wurst Breakfast served only on weekends 8-11 am, March through December.
Yesterday, Kyle and I participated in the 2pm Makin' Bacon 101 class. Our last minute registration was a rainy-day activity.
The class was a great experience! Mike was very informative, patient and willing to answer any weird question I could think-up! Helpers, Seth, Blake & Ron, were great asset to the class! No one should walk way hungry or thirsty, because all the samples and meal were plentiful! The Homemade Peach Pecan Bread Pudding with added Moonshine was wonderful! Bonus: Go home with 2-3 lbs of bacon YOU prepared!
We would recommend this class to anyone looking for a unique experience. Thank you very much for the wonderful time!

Had a great evening at the Black Walnut Bistro. Our waitress was great. The zucchini as an appetizer was awesome. I had the shrimp and lobster fettuccine. The Alfredo sauce and shrimp were good but my lobster tail was chewy. Would be willing to eat here again.

I stumbled upon this place while waiting to go back to the airport after a business retreat. Alone and looking for something quick and simple wondered if I could get a slice of pizza. I checked reviews than called they said sure. When I walked up to counter expected to see 4 or 5 partially served pizzas for me to choose a slice from but instead they told me to select what I wanted to have on my slice. I picked 3 topping and than they told me I got a salad and drink for $7.95. What I deal I thought. I had no idea! how great a deal until I got my meal. When I got my slice it was handcrafted especially for me and it was not your traditional size it was double a normal slice of pizza. Now for the salad: it was dressed with peppers, artichokes and cheese. Lovely fresh and what a surprise!

Today, the renowned Vintage Restaurant is just steps from the main house of the Stone Hill Winery, and provides the perfect meal with the perfect wine. Over the years, the restaurant has catered to thousands of lucky diners, serving contemporary world cuisine, including German specialties, paired with Stone Hill Winery's award-winning wines. That's why it was nominated a "Best German Restaurant in America" by GermanDeli. With its charm and warmth, the Vintage Restaurant provides the perfect setting for post-winery dining, rehearsal dinners, group tours and corporate meetings.
The menu here is not extensive, but it doesn't have to be as all the items on it are delicious. I have especially enjoyed the spicy chicken sandwich as well as all the German items on the menu.
The restaurant is in a converted horse barn, and like the winery, the history of the building adds great ambiance to the restaurant. The staff is very nice, the food is reasonably priced, and I would recommend this place to anyone who likes good food!

While our server was great when a very large mistake was made the manager was rude and seemed put off about comping not the entire meal but just the incorrect item. looking at other reviews this seems to a normal issue with them.

We went for lunch and ordered various items including wings, salads, catfish, shrimp. One of the orders was prepared wrong (fried instead of grilled). The chicken was good and well-prepared although not true Buffalo wings. Prices for lunch were a bit lower than for dinner although portions may have been smaller. Service was kind of slow although we did have a big group and the one server had to go up and down the stairs (we were seated on second floor). Good beer selections.
