Today was the first warm day and a warm evening this year. We drove over to J's Cone Zone for some soft ice cream. There were a number of families enjoying treats as well as older couples. The soft ice ream and associated items (sundaes, shakes, etc.) are all very good. A nice place to go a hot evening to get a cold ice cream treat.

We have been to Blondie's Barn several times, and will definitely be back. The interior is rustic, casual, with booths and tables, and the staff is super friendly and efficient. We often need gluten free choices, and that is readily available. Whatever you desire, they have! We typically choose from the omelets, scrambles, or pancakes. While I am not a vegetarian, I like the Jolly Green Giant - order some bacon or sausage on the side!

Located on the corner of Marsh Road, Maru Okemos features a full sushi bar, cozy seating in a hip ambience to match the modern Japanese dishes.
I went for lunch recently.with friends during a workshop break. The presentation is jaw dropping beautiful and at a table of 10, there was not a single complaint. People reached across offered, shared, and tasted different dishes. I had Mahato rolls and it was beautiful and delicious, I was afraid the pico de gallo would be too spicy, so the server suggested it could come on the side. It did. It wasn't spicy. The server answered all questions and brought extra chopsticks, forks, ginger, etc The decor is on the sleek, clean lines look. In summer the outdoor area is a pleasant spot to eat. While the portions were large (or enough for two) the prices were around $15 for the rice rolls.

Two locations (please list both seperately) One is in the Student Union building on campus, one store is at the production plant.
MSU diary is a staple in the MSU community for good reason. Everything is amazing from their ice cream to the cheese! Two locations on campus. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and the students and employees working there give great portions for the price. Also it is all locally made at the MSU dairy (hence the name) so it is great to give back to a local store.

A number of local beers on tap. Good sandwich and salad selection. Grilled blackened chicken was great. Wife had a southwest salad which was very good. Pub atmosphere. Can get very crowded ( tons of people coming in after sate basketball finals and big waiting line). We thought it was well worth the visit.

We stopped in for the first time in a few months. Ordered our favorites to share, Grouper Fingers, Crabby Dip, and Fishermans Stew. The Grouper fingers with less than we used to get and they were chewy, the Dip which we loved, with multi colored chips now comes with a few stale chips and the dip was half the amount you used to get and it was barely warm, the stew had way to much corn starch in it and it was really hard to find any seafood in all the jellied broth and potatoes. What a horrible change, don't know what happened but our three appetizers cost over $30 and we will not go back. It was a great food place and now just like so many other places instead of keeping good quality and raise the price, they cheated it up and they will loose business. Too Sad.

Dusty's Wine Bar features fine dining in a relaxed "Wine Bar"-Bistro atmosphere. Award winning wine spectator wine list. Next door is the the the Tap Room, your local neighborhood pub and on the other side is Dusty's Cellar for retail wine, beer, specialty foods, pastries and gift baskets.
I've been lunching, brunching, and dining here for 20+ years. I've seen changes of manager, chef, staff, menus, and always feel like it's a celebration to be here. The newish brunch menu is terrific. I had porkbelly hash with poached eggs and my spouse had the short ribs and egg crepe. The food not only tasted terrific, the presentation was excellent. Ditto the Bloody Mary's which I always order mild. BTW, I like the booths better than table seating, but other people might feel differently.

Fernando's fits into the neighborhood so nicely, that some may overlook it. That would be unfortunate. It is a rewarding place to eat with friends and family. A few times, though, I've been fooled by places that are gaudy in outside appearance. I learned.
Breakfast and lunch here have always been pleasant and tasty. Here is a very nice neighborhood restaurant. I learned.

Just came home from another excellent experience at Tannin. This definitely is the best restaurant in the Greater Lansing Area. My daughter and I shared the chef's tasting menu and it was fabulous. Our service was very good as well. I really don't understand people's complaints about the atmosphere. We always sit in the front room with the bar, and although the atmosphere is not lush, I find it to be very comfortable. The menu is very interesting and I give it high marks on using ingredients that are fresh and seasonal.

This is the 3rd visit to this HopCat location. The poorly managed location is living off blind adoration of its excellent beer selection. The vestibule was swamped with water. The waiting area has a had couch in it with no-legs for at least 6 months, and it was also dirty. The hostess mismanaged my table lead-time by 36 minutes. So much for their fancy I-Pad program intended to seat guests.... Recommendation- go somewhere else until they hang a signout side that says -retrained by Detroit location or better still (but painful) the UM HopCat Manager is now in charge.
