Had a really terrific meal on a Sunday night. Restaurant was full but we didn't wait very long. Cheesy garlic bread is much bigger than anticipated so we had a lot of leftovers. Waiter was average but the bartender was fantastic. I highly recommend the margarita!

The burgers are their specialty. They come in three sizes and the smallest, whimpie, is a normal size for any other restaurant. Enjoy the bar for your meal if all the tables are taken...that's where all the action is. Good weather seating on the balcony is also entertaining.

This is a great stop to grab a bite to eat. The wings are amazing. The sauces come on the side. The wings are so tender and just fall apart. Easy to eat and taste amazing. The outside covered seating is nice and relaxing also. There is a bar at the other end of the Chicken Shack.

The ice creams are very good. Large selection. Lots of cone varieties for your ice cream. Booths to sit in if you choose.

This place has come highly recommended by several friends. The atmosphere is old time bar with awkward seating and no frills. Our server was quick and friendly. She knew what she was doing and was able to answer our questions. We had a variety of menu choices and tried two appetizers. The fried pickles were fabulous and a bit spicy. The burgers were great with an excellent fresh bun. My only complaint was the curly fries. They were shoestring size and super crispy. Ours were cold. I wish we had been refunded for the three plates of fries that were untouched. The waffle fries were good but also arrived cold.

The Village Grounds Coffeehouse is Pentwater's only full service coffee house serving all you favorite espresso based drinks-hot,iced and blended. We also have the largest selection of organic loose leaf teas in the area to sip hot or iced. The Village Grounds is a "latte" more than just great coffee. We bake all our own baked goods, from scratch, on site and we offer a fantastic breakfast and lunch menu. We are a seasonal business open Memorial day through Labor day and weekends in the fall.
We always looked forward to the big cinnamon rolls but were told they were too difficult to make. They were wonderful and we would even drive around Pentwater Lake to buy 10 or more! The coffee is okay and the other rolls didn't really look homemade so we didn't go in after the first day. Pentwater could really use a local bakery!

Woodland Farm Market is a "must stop" on your way to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes and the Stoney Lake Area! We offer home made goodness to make your stay in Oceana County even more enjoyable. Awarding Winning Pies, Addicting Donuts, Amazing Breads, and so much more!
We are always game for supporting local businesses. And, how can one go wrong with a bakery? We stopped in thinking that we would buy a pie. Instead, we left with fruit tarts and strudels so that we could sample as many fruit fillings as possible. The Michigan Berry Tart was divine...a delicious crust filled with local berries and a crumb topping.

This review is accurate and not embellished. We went there on Saturday (party of 5) and had a reservation.
The service was the worst I have had at a restaurant in at least 10 years. To start with, it took over 60 minutes to get our food. Even though we were told at the 30 minute mark that our "food would be right up". The waitress showed no empathy for our table. She never explained the delays, had to be flagged down to refill water, had to be reminded twice for a tartar sauce request, and never apologized for the service.
We looked for the hostess to complain, but she was no where to be found. The surprising part was at one point, the place was about 80% full and hardly anyone had food.
This was my third time at Big Heart and probably my last. The service has usually been on the slow slide, but never this painful.

There is not a lot of choices for food in Silver Lake area. And those in town are average at best. Some people rave about this pizza. I will tell you we love pizza of all kinds from NY style, to thin n crisp, all the way to Chicago. This is a traditional round style pizza. The toppings are tasty and seem fresh. Someone recommended the sausage in a different review. I'm not a huge fan but tried it and it was good. Overall, this is good to real good pizza but considering the options in Silver Lake, this needs to be a staple of your visit. In Summer 2016, we paid something like $14 for a large 1 topping pizza. That usually costs us about $10 back in Metro Detroit. Between the two, I'd put this place above most of the pizza places at home. They are that good. I just not raving about them. Bottom line, unless you are not a fan of pizza, you will definitely not be disappointed. Like others, you too might rave about them.

Small town bar with Mexican American food like we would prepare at home. We ordered a starter plate of nachos and followed up with a shredded beef burrito. Food was good and servings were generous. We split both the menu items, and still had more food than we could eat. Also split a pitcher of Alaskan amber ale. Good food and beverage in a vintage interior
